Nice video, I do outdoor practise sessions I’ve only done about 3 but lap time since my first one has improves by 20 seconds I’m working hard to try to get to the x kart scholarship next year and I’m saving up for my own suit jakes a great driver so make sure you don’t stop

The lad is lucky to have a dad who makes the competition look bad and takes Karting seriously because its not a fad. It makes me sad because the cost of Karting is mad and at the same time its so rad. Im so corney sometimes 😂🤦🏾♂️

we followed a very similar path with lew as you know... starting out at indoor is for sure the most affordable way to see if the talent and passion is there which it clearly is with Jake.. quality video mate
Cheers for putting this video up. I've spent this year looking at ways to progress from Teamsport into outdoor karting then onto owner karting. I've received great advice from people such as the Alfie Davies team, Tommy Butcher's dad and others and now have a pretty firm idea of our next steps and the costs involved. We're only 10 months into our journey but Oscar have excelled so fast he's making light work of indoor karters with multiple years of experience, he's even set an all time lap record in adult karts at Teamsport Birmingham which shouldn't be possible and beat Lewis B's on the day lap time at Teamsport Liverpool on our first visit there. What you've just explained ties everything together I've recently learnt about. Keep up the great work guys, one day would be awesome to see Oscar on track with you.
@@AndersLadAndDad Oscar's had 1 session there in sunday morning race academy. He had a good battle with a kid called Dan Griffin. Best lap was 53.5, just 0.5 off the leader. Would love to see him there with a bit more practice and in a members event. He's just 40kg, so 41's shouldn't be a problem. He loves that track.
@@AndersLadAndDad We'll have to make another weekend of it up north, the Liverpool track too. For monday night to happen would have to be in the school holidays, so potentially late October now. If we start planning something I'll let you know. Yeah Dan eventually got past Oscar but it was great to see Oscar under some serious pressure straight away on an unknown track to him. He lead the pack out both races, I was a nervous wreck watching on 😄

There is lots of other teams competing in the same championships, that offer the same service for much less and have proven results, I think those interested in progressing need to do some research as there is services that are much better for the fraction of the cost. Alot of what happens is people just follow the crowd unfortunately, never the less very good vid with a great insight 👍🏻

Do you know if high running teams run for around 15k a year for nationals or is it alot more

15k wouldn’t be good enough for DHR or another top team at that level . At 15k x kart would do you a good plan to do ukc or jkc
Dhr is 30k deposit and then about 6k per round. Smaller teams will have no deposit and more like 1.5 to 2k per round depending on team/championship
