Loved it, Gav. Felt like I was there with you. A very relaxing watch. Appreciate the editorial details - no pressure, but the cuts to the drone footage that match the soundtrack, and the little bits of fast Gav packing the tinny certainly added to the experience. 'Beer and whisky - always risky; whisky and beer - never fear!' (Personally, I've never had much success applying that guideline.) Thanks and good on you.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video, it’s hard to put 30 mins of drone footage in to a 30 min video if you know what I mean. Sometimes cutting it to the beat makes it a little better, some times not. Never heard the beer and whiskey sayings, might have to put it into practise… but like yourself, don’t think it will change much. Appreciate you watching and taking the time out to comment. 👍🏼
Have fond memories of camping and cruising around in the tinnie at Mallacoota with the old man when he was still with us, such a great place. Cheers Alan, It was a cracking spot for sure, out of the wind luckily. Slept like a baby. Might of had something to do with the whiskey maybe 🤷🏼🤣 Thanks for watching again mate 👍🏼
Top one mate. I have been watching Chris for years. He's pretty good. On the subject of shelters, 2 hoochies joined together will give you a pretty good footprint. They don't leak (well mine didn't, and I have slept under one for over 30 years), easy to put up and take down and pack up to nothing. Just remember to take plenty of cord, some sand pegs (for beach camping) and your laughing. Just gotta get you some fishing mojo now. Great to see ya spirits have risen, it put a smile on my dial. Bloody lovely sun rise, just magic. Heading to the VHC in April after a short D-Max 4x4 course, probably around Dargo area not sure on dates yet. Balls (neighbour) is interested too. Would like it to be in NSW, but, can't carry a chainsaw in the vehicle going through a National Park, so Vic it will be. Cheers mate, BobbyB.
Chris is awesome hey, I do have a man crush on him seriously !! 🤦🏽🤣 Think I’m going an Alton at the moment but will do a bit more research. It was an awesome trip, couldn’t help but not to smile, I was in my happy place Mallacoota. Sounds like a good trip, great spot, just don’t get stuck in the Dargo Pub. 🤣🤣🤦🏽 Can’t carry Chainsaws… yeah right. You meant to leave outside the gates of the NP, I’ve always got mine on board. Not saying I’ve used it🤷🏼 but it’s always handy. Give us a shout out when you sort ya days for the VHC. Cheers Krusty
Yeah, I’ve been checking a few places out. Plenty of good spots around East Gippy. My tinny is permanently in Coota at our house. Need to do some work on the lights so I can tow it. I just need to work on my fishing so I can stop cooking snags. 🤦🏽🤣
Great video, Gav. Love Mallacoota. Remember camping up the river, skiing till dark, then on the water at first light. Love the golden hour lighting up the Howe range. The colours are magnificent. Maybe you could do a trip to Tamboon or Wingan.
Cheers Scotty, it’s a ripper of a spot. You guys had the perfect camp spot on foreshore, I reckon everyone that drove past it would have been jealous. Definitely on the list, just need a smeller boat for Wingan, less horsepower. Really enjoyed this trip. Hope to catch ya next year down there mate.
Thanks mate. Coota is a cracking spot, it’s pretty easy to film. Would love to put the tinny in and keep heading up to the Genoa or Wallagaraugh for a camp, show case a bit more of Coota. Thanks for the support. 👍🏼
Thanks Ian, it was good to mix it up mate, and I absolutely loved it. I reckon you might see a couple of more of these to come ? Yeah, I’m doing ok mate, life is still pretty hectic. But it’s the same for everyone. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Love what you're doing, nothing wrong with chasing a new adventure! Do what makes you happy, the audience might shift a bit but seeing someone genuinely enjoying themselves is better than someone stuck doing the same thing. Have fun
That’s it Eeyore, bit over just doing high country after high country content. If I’m that relaxed and enjoy my time making content like I did on this episode, might have take the tinny all the time. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment ! 👍🏼
Check out the alton goods gear for ya camping options. Bought myself a 4 x 3m tarp off them. Can be rigged up heaps of different ways. Suits overnighters beautifully. Can also doubble up as an awning for the troopy
Thanks for the recommendation, this is the way I’ll be going I reckon for sure. Be a good way to set up a base camp when 4x4ing. The troopy now has 2x 23Zero awnings on it. So a stand alone would be bang on. 👍🏼
Appreciate you asking what we would like to see, but what it's about is watching you enjoying yourself even if it is emptying the esky 😂😂😂. You're good fun have a drink with too. With your interests I'm sure that we will still follow and enjoy your videos. Cheers, Pete.
Cheers Pete, sometimes you have to empty out the fridge into the esky to free up some space. This was on of them times. 🤣🤣 I’m glad I managed to make some content while doing it, the location helped. Thanks for the support. Gavin 👍🏼🥃🍻
Thanks Jim, he’s bloody awesome hey. Yeah I want to mix it up, but don’t expect me to hike into somewhere and camp like Chris does. 🤦🏽🤣 Thanks again for supporting the channel! 👍🏼
Thank you, it was one of my best trips so far. Actually come back from it feeling refreshed… actually gave me some motivation to keep going with the YT side of things, but definitely still staying monthly.
Yeah. There are a few of them out there, I just like Chris as he is for ever changing it up, can’t believe some of the stuff he thinks of 🤦🏽🤣. None of these guys should feel threatened by me!! lol Thanks for watching and taking the time out to comment. It’s greatly appreciated. Cheers

Simply too flamin' good. Your filming techniques are just brilliant, in my opinion anyway. They'd make a trip from Adaminaby to Cooma, in a sh*tbox old Hyundai interesting. So real, I can imagine myself there. All the best, I'll bet ya mum's garden is lookin' pretty good as well. Thanks Krusty. 🚙🚙😊
Cheers Mort, yeah the garden is coming along, but I reckon it looks ‘ good from far, but far from good ‘ 🤦🏽🤣 Glad you’re enjoying the episodes Mort, I appreciate you taking the time out to watch them mate! 👍🏼
Yeah mate absolutely love to see variety. I'll wager a lot of your viewers are watching for you and your personality/humour. I was undecided with my own channel whether to stick to 1 specific thing or chuck in the odd variation from time to time. I watch the vids to see the things ya get up to
Muddy, i don’t think it hurts to mix it up, it’s actually good for your soul to do something different… well it was for me anyway! Humour?? Think I might need to work on it a bit more. 🤣👍🏼 Thanks for your ongoing support mate. Keep well. 🍻
Now adding a Tinny to my bucket list! LOL 😅 Use to go fishing for bream at Bemm River in the 80s, can't get to the river now, along the esplanade, which is a shame.
I reckon your look good towing a little 3.8 with a 25hp on the back. Atleast then you don’t need to worry about fishing off the bank Lee. You settled back in at home or still cruising around loving life ??
This trip was awesome for the soul, absolutely loved it. So will be doin a few more in the near future I reckon. Might pack a bit less whiskey maybe ! 🤷🏼🤣
Good on you mate something different, more of the beautiful snowy mountains aswell seen as I don't get over there often anymore since moving to Victoria.
Thanks Trevor, the snowy region will always pop up as I’m still working over that way, it’s amazing country. But I’ll be trying to mix it up a little I reckon. Had a ball doing the tinny camping 👍🏼
Great content crusty only thing is if you head to some of the other spots in the area between coota and cann just keep the names out of the title and don't advertise the spots. Way to much traffic already due to campsite closures around the cape lighthouse. Awesome to see you back in action and keep up the good work! Can't wait to bump into ya!
I hear ya Stringbean, couldn’t really hide the fact I was in Coota. Plan on getting down that way… Tamboon for sure, just need to get me trailer lights fixed so I can get me boat out of Coota 🤦🏽🤣 think you need a smaller motor for Wingan Inlet? I’m still eyeing of Gabo. Thanks for the support mate.
Looks like a cracking trip...my favourite memories are of the boating camp outs around the Dampier archipelago in my childhood. Catch n cook or as you have it...sausages on a bun for us. The tide would catch us playing on the boat leaving us kids having to swim a couple hundred meters if we weren't paying attention...lol...surprised we didn't end up shark food. Cheers
I couldn’t rely on a catch and cook, I’d starve for sure !! 🤦🏽🤣 That would be the life back in the day, no boundaries back then, but still sharks. 🤦🏽 It’s amazing what we could do and get away with back in the old days. Not like this times we are in. Thanks for watching and taking the time out to comment. It’s really appreciated! 👍🏼
Nice would love to see a few tinny trips in the mix. I use a 3m x 3m DD tarp. Light and strong an good for over the swag. Could even go a 4m x 3m if you want a really swish camp.
Fantastic episode mate loved it. Pleased you enjoyed the boat camping too. Mallacoota is well up there on my list to do a similar trip. Thanks for showing us 😊
You won’t be disappointed … so many great spots to see and camp at down there. It’s been on my list for a while now the tinny camping, absolutely loved it. Will be happening again soon. 👍🏼
Chris is a legend mate, the most down to earth TH-camr you will ever meet. It’s a good tinny mate, but I’d like a smaller one on a Offroad trailer for some bigger trips. 3.8 with a 25hp I reckon. 👍🏼

@@greghall14 spent NY’s in Marlo. Had a few early beers in the pub. Use to go to Conran a lot in my younger years, great spot. They have recently upgraded the boat ramp at Conran. Plan on getting out and exploring a lot of the local waterways and camping in the tinny.
Great idea to try something different. What I really loved is you got a time to chill out and relax which was nice to see and talking a bit which is really nice. You're the sort of guy. That would be nice to sit around a fire and talk some crap with. Would watch more content like this even if you went to say like lake Dartmouth My mom's 85 and she went there many years ago with my dad and reminisced. So thanks from her as well mate. All the best
Loved the tinny camping, it was pretty relaxing, and I didn’t have to climb hills to set up cameras. Have plenty of cracking rivers and lake systems around where I live, so come summer time I’ll look at getting out and enjoying the good weather in the boat. Might drag a few mates a long for the campfire scene. I’d love to get up to Dartmouth, just some big hills for the troopy to pull the boat up, it hates hills when towing ! 🤦🏽
Excellent Fella, more tinny missions please:D I have a 23 Zero swag and you can buy a small shaped tarp for it, works well in the rain but no extra cover other than the swag.
Yeah, been looking at one, but unsure how’d it go on a stretcher. Looking for more coverage incase it does piss down. I reckon there will be more tinny camping in the future, absolutely had a blast. Cheers for the support. 👍🏼
Beaut spot Gav, I remember taking a short cut across that marked sand bar in the middle, had to get out and push the damn boat. Wont make that mistake again. Keen to see more of you down there.
Funny you say that… we use to run the gauntlet over near Allan’s Head on the other side. Flat out across there, made it most of the time!! 🤦🏽🤣 Hopefully I can keep doing a few of these trips, some good spots around worth checking out I reckon. Thanks for watching and commenting !👍🏼
Bloody brilliant mate! I need to do the same thing, thanks for the inspiration. Mate I’m no expert but when you were talking about tarps I reckon you should look up the Drifta Stockton Hexa Tarp! They are brilliant & I think they’d be well worth a look. Love your work man, what a brilliant way to spend some free time. Couldn’t agree with you more on Australia Day, no need to change it, a chance to be thankful & celebrate living in the greatest country on earth!
Thanks Mark, I do like the Hexa Tarp but I’m not a fan of the Drifta brand, well more Luke to tell the truth. He lost his shit over the Covid period. They can have another day, I’ll take another public holiday, Aus Day needs to be in summer in my opinion. Thanks for watching hong and taking the time out to comment 👍🏼
Thanks Dunc. I want to mix it up as much as I can. Think it’s better for the channel than that same high country content that some channels just keep doing.
Bloody love this mate. Please keep the Tinny trips coming. Brings a whole new perspective to getting out there hey. Adventure doesn’t always mean being in a 4wd. Got some real cool things happening with the channel mate with some really good Support from some great Companies. You deserve everything that comes your way. You’ve put in the hard yards. Time to reap the rewards. When it comes to tarps there is so many variables hey. A solid grey tarp from your local fishing / camping store would be more than enough for what you’re doing. Canvas is great but it doesn’t dry as quick , is heavier and a lot more expensive But will last a lifetime. Horses for courses really mate. Good luck with your decision Keep up the Great Content Krusty 🍻 Cheers Brad & Fi

nice mix up from the usual get away's mate and a sweet cheeky stop over you found, keep up the fishing and eventually you will hit paydirt - first lesson you have to have ya line in the water - second lesson is to make sure you have bait on ya hook, next thing you will know it you'll have a fish to put on the BBQ, Cheers

Our holiday house survived which I’m grateful for, still be able to continue to visit Coota for a few more years yet. Sandbars as in down by the camping ground? Nah, they will never do anything about that, to green down there. But the entrance is right over at Bastion Point now, back like in the 1980’s. It’s good for getting outside now. @aguyandhistroopy the locals should know better. They'll have everyone illegally camping around the lake. Perhaps camp on your boat like other youtube people. Love it mate, keep doing what you’re doing as long as it’s outdoors with a good fire and a mix of alcohol. You’re a bushman, love it.
Yep. My favourite channel. I wish Krusty all the best, whatever he does. 😀

Cheers Alan,
It was a cracking spot for sure, out of the wind luckily. Slept like a baby. Might of had something to do with the whiskey maybe 🤷🏼🤣
Thanks for watching again mate 👍🏼

Can’t carry Chainsaws… yeah right. You meant to leave outside the gates of the NP, I’ve always got mine on board. Not saying I’ve used it🤷🏼 but it’s always handy.
Give us a shout out when you sort ya days for the VHC.

Yeah mate, if I had a tinny, I'd be exploring around there. Mallacoota, Wonbyn, Wingan Inlet, Tamboon, Tyres and Lakes. Tonnes of places to explore 🤘
Yeah, I’ve been checking a few places out. Plenty of good spots around East Gippy.
My tinny is permanently in Coota at our house. Need to do some work on the lights so I can tow it.

Too right. I can watch this and imagine I'm having that fun. Until I do, Krusty's production will do admirably. 😊

Alton camping products ...aussie company... great tarps...
Thanks for the recommendation, I reckon this will be the way I go.
Cheers 👍🏼
Gordon Dedman Bushcraft... Aussie ex-army...
I’ll check him out. I need to learn some more survival- bush tips, does he always drive a troopy?
I see he uses an Alton tarp in the Quick Look I had.
Thanks for recommending him 👍🏼
There is important meaning to 26/01.
No other date would mean anything. Australia day celebrates Australia. Nothing else.
I couldn’t agree more, they can have an invasion day or whatever they want to call it and I’ll take a public holiday for it. 🤣🤣
I second the Alton goods 3x3 it packs down small and excellent quality. I don’t like this video as it makes me want to go and buy a Tinnie now 😅
Tinny’s are cheap enough 🤣🤣
Think I’ll be going the Alton tarp, they look the goods👍🏼
Sleep in your boat. Totally legal 😁
Don’t think I’d be up to yet, would have to fine tune my set up a bit more.
Hopefully one day. 👍🏼
Your "swag" absolutely qualifies as a tent.
Read the signs and obey them next time.
@@richardmason9097 look at picture … its looks nothing like a swag 🤷🏼♂️
It was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment mate.
The location was recommended by a few locals as a place to camp.
Thanks for mate for watching and taking the time out to drop a comment.
@aguyandhistroopy the locals should know better. They'll have everyone illegally camping around the lake. Perhaps camp on your boat like other youtube people.
I got that it was tongue in cheek, but it sends a message to dodgy people who abuse the system. We all need to look after and respect these beautiful places...
