Just got onto this chanel. Must say, of all the ones I watch, this is really what I like. No loud screaming and theatrics, no stupid stunts, no false claims. Just pure good videography, sense of humour, amazing scenes and good old fishing and living. You deserve much more. Your Chanel is really good. Work on the algorithm. Great stuff. Now need to start watching your videos from the start
You never fail to make me envious. 😂 Oysters are one of my absolute favorite foods. I can just imagine what they taste like with that vinaigrette. 😋 I'm really enjoying this camping series so far!
Appreciation and respect from NY. Appreciate the respect you have for the local ecosystem. Respect that you don’t have an itchy trigger finger. The Angel Fish? The Sea Turtle? The OCTOPUS And showing us those Mangroves! Mucho Grace
Hi ya Rod, love your shows. Nice beach, do you ever just bait fish on a beach like this. Beaches and jetty (pier) fishing is about all I'm ok for these days (73 years old). Cheers.
So jealous. That's such a great boat. Built for fishing. Love it. Awesome video. The edits and cinematic filming are way above what I can do. One of my favorite subscriptions. The content is always worth a click and like. Thumbs way up mate.
I experience so many emotions when watching your videos rod. The excitement and joy, but most of all the envy. It's a privilege to be able to just go onto an island and camp in these amazing locations without having to worry about certain elements and criminals (I'm from South Africa). Thank you for sharing these amazing adventures with us!
Rod have you ever use Permethrin on your clothing and camping gear? It is relatively low impact and really reduces the mozzies and midges by a lot. (although not completely.) but it really works when you spray it on your tent and other camping gear.
I park my boat bow into the waves at the beach. Plenty of rope/rode out so when you get back in the boat to leave you can just pull the boat with anchor rope into deeper water and lower the motor and start up. Raise the anchor last. I also put up large tarp tent on land and then put my sleeping tent underneath. Rain and sun protection, heaps better comfort.
People who complain about your sound and other technical details in your video are just haters. You don't need to listen to them your videos are great🔥👌👏
I ditched GoPro long ago in favour of DJI Actions, the battery life is infinitely better and the Action 3 never overheats. Ever. record audio separately with a zoom f2 and waterproof lav, never look back.
Been refreshing my YT for this update lol. So relaxing to watch and nice how you interact with your surroundings 😊 Try, vinegar+chili+onions on the Oysters
Gotta get yourself an oyster knife in your kit. It’s more about twisting than prying, and the knives have a wide, flat, and blunt blade. I’ve never had them that fresh though.
Love your videos!! Just wanted to let you know about and anchor device used just for how you had your boat tied up called an Anchor Buddy it's a rubber bungee with a woven outside. It keeps tension on your line and doesn't jerk on the anchor.
Oysters grow best when connected to old oyster shell. Try your best to return shells to wear you collected them. In NSW we can only jar the oysters we take recreationally. I'm not sure on Qld but would be worth checking. They looked fantastic though. Oysters that size are a real treat wild foraged.
Definitely the right call mate better to be safe than sorry 😊 Oyster feast Good size vinaigrette delicious, had extra large from Coffin Bay here in SA had to cut in half 🤪it was unbelievable 🤪well looking forward to the next adventure 👍 Cheers Wombat 🐾😀🍻🍻
I love to see how you guys have fun on that side of the globe. I am jealous, but we have our fun here as well. Here being Hightgate Springs, Vermont, right the Canadian border.. Canada is my backyard... The most northwestern you can get in Vermont.
Hello from Arlington Washington. Big time fan of your vids! This morning while watching the new episode. I thought you should do a catch and cook -Cookbook with QR codes that hyper link to the corresponding video to the recipe. All the best keep up the great work. Thanks again for all the great content. MB
how fun would it be to join you on one of these trips, every time you catch lobster I get jealous... haha hopefully you're paying attention to possible pearls in the oysters
Years ago when amway was all over They offered a body lotion called “skin so soft” Turned out to be a perfect mosquito repellent Later it’s been discovered that a lot of body oils do the same thing If you have a problem with repellent Try checking the options
Great video. TH-cam hasn't been showing me your uploads recently for some reason, which is a shame because I absolutely love your work. Hopefully this comment, along with watching a few back episodes in a binge, will be enough to appease the algorithm gods for a while. Love from the US!
Hey Rod, awesome video as usual, I do a bit of tinny camping and don't have my anchors drag, but notice I have more chain than you (maybe too much as its from my fibreglass boat!). I read you are supposed to have the boat lengths worth and yours is much shorter....
Cheers mate, Yea my front anchor has a decent amount of chain, at least 3 meters I think, the rear anchors was just made quick for this trip and had a small amount of chain I had in the garage. The issue was that even the front with chain was pulling as the chop lifted the front of the boat as there was no sand for it to grip into, once you were off the small sand edge where the anchor needed to be it was all small rocks and rubble so it couldn’t dig in unfortunately. I probably could have made it grip if really needed but the thought of just leaving my boat getting smashed on the edge of all that rock while the tide dropped and rose again didn’t seem like a good option😅👍
@@rokkitkit yeah I saw you made the call to not stay so it wouldn't smash up and that's the right thing to do; I've had a transducer snap off in a similar scenario so am always conscious about that, and as you did, turning around so the waves don't come over the back. Deffo worth having that second anchor I've found, especially with just one and a change of wind over night coupled with a high tide can leave you high and dry for much longer....learnt that the hard way too 😂
Hey rod. Could you please share the link for the little cross body gear bag you used that had your lures in?? 😊 my husband would love one. ❤ keep up the good work.

Wicked, Rod. Part two! Let's go, buddy!! Love the channel.

Its always so satisfying to see Rod enjoy his catch
NICE!
been waiting for this one :D Thanks Rod!!
I love stuff like this. Keep it coming. 🔥
That's an absolute unit of a boat!
some of THE most stunning underwater footage in those mangroves. a childhood dream of mine played out before my eyes
I love the contrast - it's windy, strong waves and loud, but under the sea it's quiet and peaceful
love the good old solo adventures 👍

Glad you found more oysters Rod
You know in England, we'd call that the height of summer!!!
So good mate!
Oysters with onions & vinegar is the best tasting thing in the World❤
Nice one sir. Always loved your vids.
I came across Oceanammo recently and picked up a 70 and 120, great company, really nice guns (and price lol)
This is peak Rokkit! Looking forward to the next mate!
Watching your videos still amaze me😂😮 because of the tide leaving the boat on the sand it seems so extreme to me. Never seen this IRL.
ROCKET DAWG, YOU ROCK MY FISHING BROTHER.
how fun would it be to join you on one of these trips, every time you catch lobster I get jealous... haha hopefully you're paying attention to possible pearls in the oysters
Been following along for quite some time, this one is great!

Deadly oysters!
I like the under water shots
I'm a big fan of reasonable vinegar
Oh that looks so jummy man, care to share? God bless you, save ocean trips. You do what I want to, but can't

Beauty's of oysters mate!
Hell yea!!
Did you hear our chants for crayfish? 😂 We seen you looking. Would have been epic catch.
Oh crap...I'm supposed to be cleaning the truck and a Rokkit video pops in my feed. :)
I can't recall you ever digging clams. Are there any there?
Maybe get a small little crowbar for those oysters
Perfect upload timing...was just about to shut my TH-cam down.
Awesome vid Rod! I would love to know your thoughts on the new tent. If it's worth your time maybe you could slip in a quick review next vid?
Those are the biggest oysters I've ever seen!
Hey rod. Could you please share the link for the little cross body gear bag you used that had your lures in?? 😊 my husband would love one. ❤ keep up the good work.
It’s a Plano Z Series Waterproof Sling Bag👌
