She is not exaggerating about going in January, it's worth trying to plan from after Xmas to the first 2-3 weeks of January. If you book a Universal hotel such as Cabana Bay, Hard Rock or Aventura for examples, you get early entry (kind of like Disney's extra magic hours) and Diagon Alley was a literal ghost town. This makes it easy to get a quick walk of the place on video. Beware that even in January, the Alley gets crowded quickly. By 2 pm, it was stuffed to the gills and one shop had a line of people going out into the streets. My recommendation is 1 - skip breakfast and see Ollivanders 2 - ride Escape from Gringotts 3 - if your stomach feels bad, try a hot butterbeer (this is only served from December to January so don't skip it!) 4 - I never tried the Leaky Cauldron because I felt the prices were too high so I ate somewhere else but it gets very crowded at lunch time 5 - finally, see that opening to the right of the Cauldron? I bet not even your tour book said this: it's the entrance to Knockturn Alley, the dark belly of the Wizarding World. I won't spoil any of the surprises but one thing I'll say is you will find Borgin & Burkes in there as well as another surprise inside it.

Ok in august im going to universal and like diagon alley Orlando and shes wearing like a sweater, people are wearing robes is it like hot there or is it like air conditioned or indoors??
