Even longer than 12 years. I was 5ish years old when the first book came out, I was reading Harry Potter at the age of 9/10, I’m 31 now and I’ve never wavered on it. I’ve been obsessed since! 😂😂
My son has FINALLY started watching all the movies (he’s 7, almost 8) and loving them. We take our trip in October and I’ve already told him we’d go get his wand first during early park admission lol. We have 4 other days to use early park admission for rides but I want to really enjoy that first morning together in Diagon alley
It’s all in the details! It truly is one of my most magical places on earth. Funny how a little play on words can be just the perfect touch and one of the most memorable facts about the series!
Favorite wand spot was the mermaid fountain for those random times it shoots that big jet out the top about 20 feet. Fun to just take a break and watch those not paying attention to the big wet spots on the ground catching a little cool unexpected little shower. If I'm ever able to go back (health failing) I wasn't able to get to do all of them and want to. :)

We were blessed to go to Universal with family in Dec 2019. We had never been before but knew we had to go on Haggrids ride. It had been raining and hazey an and off during the day. It was the last ride we did before having to leave. We all went as single riders so we could get through the line a little faster. 45 minutes later, I was riding in a sidecar and it was dark, foggy, and so close to experiencing the scenes in the movie that we were without words when we got off! Even my parents were in love with it (and they thought the movies were boring-gasp!). It was seriously magical! Almost afraid it won't be hazey and dark when he head back for one last trip this Dec. Thank you for all of your tips! (You are adorable btw)
Hey Danel! That is such an awesome story! We absolutely adore Hagrids and its story. There is not another ride like it in the world and we are so sure of that! You must be talking about the Orlando Informer meetup! We were there this past weekend, too! We love the meetups, it’s such a fun way to experience the parks!
Thanks for the list. A few disagreements. 1) Robes are much cheaper on Amazon! 2) A must do is watching the night show on the castle. 3) However, the train is just TOO EXPENSIVE, it is ridiculous that it cost over $50 per person to ride! I guess if you only had one day and you needed to do as much as possible in one day, fine buy the multi park pass, but otherwise, the cost savings to buy 1 park per day is so significant, I can't ever justify spending the money to just do a train ride.
The night show for sure is a must. As far as the park to park, if you look at single day tickets that is true, however many times a year they run specials which the make the park to park tickets the same price per day as a single park ticket!
Thank you for this video! I haven’t been back to Universal since 2016 and didn’t get to experience most of the Harry Potter world since I was with family and it’s not really their thing. I’m going for 3 days by myself in September and I can’t wait.
My family had a good time last week. We went on 3/26 and my oldest was able to get his wand. And we loved the Hogwarts Express. Thanks to your tips on getting around the wait times I was able to plan everything out perfectly. And we definitely took advantage of the early park admission. This spring break crowds was insane. What time of year would you recommend going when the park isn’t as crowded. Thanks
We’re so glad you and your family had a great trip! The spring break crowds were CRAZY this year, but it’s still possible to have a great vacation. Basically the least busy times in the parks are when people aren’t off work and children are still in school. Holidays, even Monday holidays, are busy in the parks. Spring break and summer and always peak times, as well as Christmas and New Years. September-November is a great time to visit, and there are some good weeks in January and February when the crowds are usually low. You can also check out the Orlando Informer crowd calendar. They’re great at predicting crowd levels!
@@ThePughTwo awesome! Thanks. I think I’m gonna become a pass holder and stay at one of the premier hotels next visit for sure. We stayed at Dockside which was nice but I really do believe it was packed not only because it was Spring Break but because of the price. My youngest was upset though because I only booked one day tickets and he wanted to go back. My husband and I were strongly considering buying another day ticket but it was blocked out on buy buying anymore tickets til I believed it said April. I’m already planning for our next trip lol. Thanks again 😊
Thank you for sharing these. This will be our first time to visit Universal Studios orlando! We are very excited. We are huge Harry Potter fans and can't wait to try all these out.
Thank you so much for watching! We are so excited for your trip! The wizarding world is AMAZING and we still find ourselves finding new fun things to do!
Very interesting! Thank you for the info! Don't frown upon us, but we have never seen the Harry Potter movies or read the books. We will definatley try to do this before our trip.
Haha we won’t frown on you! We do suggest you watch them before you go. I know it’s a commitment, but if you AT LEAST watch the first one, it’ll all make more sense. Thanks for watching!
I plan on going back to Universal Studios/Harry Potter world this may during the week of my birthday, i'm so so excited to go back. When I go, it will have been 11 years since I been to Florida / Universal studios. I was 10 when I went to Florida the first time, I was there for 5 days and went to Disney World & Universal Studios. Since I haven't been to HP world in almost 11 years, this video has been very helpful in what I should do while i'm there! I can't wait to do as much as I can while i'm there for 5 days.
How exciting! So much has changed in the parks in the last 11 years, you're going to have a blast. We're so glad our videos have been helpful, and we hope you have a great time on your trip!
If you have never had the butter beer ice cream from Florean Fortescue's in Diagon Alley, it is FANTASTIC. Maybe one of my all time favorite treats at the park!!
i've only been to universal orlando once and it was last year without an express pass and we were only there for one day so it kinda sucked. im going back on march 1st for multiple days with ultimate express passes and im SO excited. i've been binging all of your videos. you guys are so fun and informative!:)))
Thats a great idea! We've talk about it a couple of times but never followed through. Guess that means we have to make another trip just for "research" lol!
I’ll be there again the 12-15th of April! I guess I just completely missed the candy store somehow the last time I was there. Btw have you considered making a video about volcano bay? I haven’t been since 2018 and would like to possibly hear your opinions on your experience there, with the virus situation happening now.
That’s so close! We hope you have a great time, Honey Dukes is a must visit. Try some candy for us! We have actually never visited Volcano Bay. We had plans to last March, but our trip got cut short when the parks shut down. It’s on our list, we’ve heard so many great things about it!
Regarding the bank notes, I'm disappointed they don't follow the currency used in the movies/books like knuts, sickles and galleons. That would be cooler than the paper bank notes.
Yeah when we sat down to rank these it was hard. What put Hogwarts Express down the list was the fact that it is sometimes just a hassle to deal with. There have been many times that even with express, we would have been better off walking to the other parks by 15-30 minutes!
I`m really enjoying your vlogs guys. I`m planning my first ever visit to Universal in March so all your advice and tips are greatly appreciated. My girl friend is a Harry Potter nut so we re planning for a long visit to Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade
Did you guys hear that Universal is making hot butter beer year round!? I’ve never had it before because I always go in April but this time when I go tomorrow I will!
We had heard that! It is so good. Honestly if it wasn’t so hot in Orlando it would probably be our go to drink! It is definitely a must try. You’ll have to let us know what you think?
I've tried Hot Butterbeer since this video. That one is the correct one. 👌 🤣 we're going next Friday and my husband has already said he's just going to sit and drink hot Butterbeer all day. 😆 🍺 🍻
2 questions: 1. When you get the wizard money(whatever it’s called:) can you only buy stuff that’s $10 and $20 wizard dollars 2. If question 1 is you can buy anything, do the workers in the Harry Potter stores have special money so if you buy something that $7 will they give you $3 dollars in wizard money or in regular money.
Hey! Awesome question! So the way that it works is you will just receive regular money back as change. You can use it anywhere at the Universal Orlando Resort!
Hey Mariel! Welcome to the channel! We hope you find it both helpful and entertaining! That is amazing! We have actually never been chosen for the wand experience. It’s one of our goals!
@@ThePughTwo we live in Tullahoma Tn on Tim’s Ford Lake. If you ever want to go out on the lake let me know. Sorry for the late response I didn’t get a notification.
@@ThePughTwo Wow that is really not that far. My wife is from TN originally and I’m from Texas we met while I was in the Marine Corps and she brought me Tennessee and I just had to live here forever.
I have the exact opposite tip, lol! I find I'm least likely to get motion sick if I have some food in my stomach (not like super full, but an empty stomach makes it worse).
Love this! We should have mentioned it for sure, but there is just so much going on in the wizarding world! You could spend days in there and still not see it all!
I have a question. I will have to use a scooter when we go to Universal because I have a heart condition. We will plan to go in October. We are mostly just going for the Harry Potter experience. Are there usually good places to park a scooter outside of the various shops and eateries?
Absolutely! In most areas of the parks, they have signs indicating where you can park your scooter or stroller. We hope you have an awesome time on your trip!!
First off, love the videos! My wife and I are staying at Portofino Feb 4th - 7th we’re very excited!!! It’s her first time ever / my first time since Harry Potter World opened. I know with the premium hotels comes unlimited express pass! Any rides that we should shoot for early given there is no express lane? Any rides you take full advantage of the pass and ride over and over again?! I’m definitely the one that likes to make a to-do list so we can soak in the full experience in 3 days! We appreciate any tips and pointers! ❤️
Awh, thank you! We're so glad you're enjoying our videos. Portofino is a beautiful hotel, you're going to love it! There are currently 3 rides that don't have express lines and they are Hagrid's, Velocicoaster, and Pteranodon Flyers. If early park admission is at IOA, we would suggest heading to Hagrid's and Velocicoaster first thing to try to get those knocked out. But also, take the posted wait times with a grain of salt because in our experience the actual wait time is rarely as long as it says, and both of those attractions are worth the wait! Pteranodon flyers is a ride you can only go on if you have a child between a specific height range, so unfortunately you won't be able to ride that one at all. As far as rides to go on over and over, just see what you enjoy the most! With 3-4 days in the parks and express passes, you should have plenty of time to do and see everything you want!
I am taking a solo vacation to Universal in December. Want to get a temporary Death Eater tattoo on my wrist because I’ve heard of you show it to other Death Eaters they treat you differently.
We’ve done that! It’s so fun, you can find the temps on Amazon pretty easily. We hope you have an awesome time on your trip. The team members are so fun to interact with!
Yes. The shops in Harry Potter World will open with early park admission. If you’re wanting to see Ollivander’s show, getting it done first thing is a great idea. If you’re just wanting to get the wands, it shouldn’t be a huge hassle at any time. They are limiting the number of people in the wand shop, but from our experience the line moves quickly. You can also check Gregorovitch’s wand stand in Diagon Alley. They carry all the same wands as Ollivander’s but there’s usually not a wait at all. It’s located under the train tracks across from Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.
You mentioned that you do not have to ride the rides to see the queues. Is there a separate “line” that you can walk though to see the cool stuff without having to wait, for example an hour just to get through the line?
That’s a great question! We’re not really sure if there is a separate walk through line or not, since we just always ride the rides. You could definitely call Universal’s guest service line and ask, or just ask the ride attendants while in the parks. We’ll ask next time we call or visit, and update you if we find out!
@@markiecarvershallenberger2336 that’s awesome! Thank you so much for your support, we really appreciate it! Knoxville is an awesome area, it’s great to connect with other Tennesseans!
It’s in line for the Hogwarts Express going from London to Hogsmeade! Aka going from Studios to Islands. It’s just after you walk up the flight of stairs. They’ll have to hang back a little to snap a photo. It’s kind of hard to explain, but I hope that helped!
Great list and video! And you had the rides in the correct order lol. My wife agrees with you that the frozen Butterbeer is best (she also loves the hot one in the morning especially when we went in December). I have always preferred the regular/soda one. That is my favorite drink anywhere lol. And great tip (in various vids from Anna) to stir the foam top into the frozen Butterbeer. I told my wife that was a tip she needs to try when we go this May
Lol you’ll have to let us know if it makes the frozen better or not! We swear by it! The hot is perfect on chilly mornings too. They’re rare in Orlando, though!
I have a question- I was thinking of doing island of adventure one day and staying at resort then doing universal studios the next day. My question is since taking my girlfriend and we are Harry Potter fans and first timers to the theme park - do I need to get a park to park pass for both or only one days ? So I can take the train in both directions and still have time to do both parks ?
If you would like to ride the train between the two parks, a park hopper pass would be necessary. You could just get one for one day, but usually the multiday tickets are cheaper (the more days you go, the less expensive they are per day) than buying two separate one day tickets. We hope this helps!
@@ThePughTwo thank!! I’m going February 8th and 9th so I am trying to decide between staying at Disney magic village townhome and buying express pass and two day multi park tickets seperate or just staying at the resort in universals that come with the express pass and early admission . That extra hour !!
I have seen a lot of comments that the rides you mentioned are not very comfortable for big and tall persons, especially if you are both big and tall. What are your thoughts?
We can’t speak on the tall aspect of this but I (Tyler) was over 300 lbs at one point and I never had too much trouble. We hate hearing that apparently the rides aren’t as accommodating as they could be!
It was so creepy when I first went, I got lost in the candy shop and I went outside to find my parents and I wondered off into knock turn alley and I got the creepiest feels! I’m so exited to go back though. Universal>Disney
Unfortunately there’s not an express for Ollivander’s. If your kids are wanting to do it, we would recommend getting there as soon as the parks open and heading straight for it before the line backs up!
@@ktpaladino we’ve also heard rumors about the parks going to a reservation system for Ollivander’s to help with crowd levels. You could call the guest service number and ask about your dates!
When I was at Harry Potter world I was talking to the guy at gringotts calling him stupid and stuff and u could see his expression getting madder it was so funny
Recipe for "Boozy Butterbeer"....... Buy a frozen Butterbeer at the stand immediately outside Jurassic Park. Walk immediately to The Watering Hole, directly inside Jurassic Park on your left. Buy a shot of rum. Pour the rum in your Butterbeer. Sit in the shade, relax, and watch everyone walking by. Repeat as needed. It's the best ride in the park!
So I'm taking my niece next year and she still doesn't know her house. I thought of just letting the sorting hat at Universal do it but then I thought if the hat is at the castle and the robes are in diagon alley will I have to go back and fourth.
@@aliqq._.n well she wants to find out her house from the "actual" sorting hat. My question I guess is, will I have to go BACK to diagon alley to get her robes once she finds out? Or is there a shoppe near the sorting hat that sells the robes?
That’s just a personal preference! If you have early park admission, we would suggest going to whichever park opens early that day. If I was going for the first time, I would go to Diagon Alley first and then ride the train over to Hogsmeade just like in the first movie, but that’s just me! 😂
Man I love Harry Potter the only thing I hope when I find the right girl she as cool as your I mean is she really the right one if she doesn’t like Harry Potter but foreal I just wanted to watch what they had at Disney as far as Harry Potter but I’m glad I watched yours y’all are so cute together

Hi Dennis, thank you so much! We hope you have an awesome trip to the parks! There absolutely isn't a right or wrong way to do the parks, it's just whatever you feel like doing! Minion Mayhem and Hogwarts Express
Minion mayhem is such a cute ride and of course Hogwarts Express is one of the most magical things we’ve ever done! Thank you for watching!

It’s now offered year round in Orlando as well!

Awesome video me go tomorrow to the park❤^^
We hope you had a great time at the parks today!!
Great video!! 16 days to go!! I think we will do this in Harry Potter order too. Thanks for the tip!
16 days?? Ahh that’s so awesome! You’ll have a blast! Thank you for watching, we can’t wait to hear about your trip!
14 days for us! I guess we’ll be there at the same time! 🧙♀️

If you have never had the butter beer ice cream from Florean Fortescue's in Diagon Alley, it is FANTASTIC. Maybe one of my all time favorite treats at the park!!

Thank you so much Emily! We are so excited for you! You will have a blast with those express passes!

We got them off Amazon! Just make sure you pay attention to the sizes, some of them are kid sized!

It’s so fun! Wizard money is so much better than muggle money!!
Have you guys ever done a review of the on site hotels you've stayed at?? If not, you should do that!
Yeah we can see that. It would have been cool, but we'd assume its a cost thing. Making coins would be much more demanding!
Great video! I'm a little surprised Hogwarts Express was only #5!
Yeah when we sat down to rank these it was hard. What put Hogwarts Express down the list was the fact that it is sometimes just a hassle to deal with. There have been many times that even with express, we would have been better off walking to the other parks by 15-30 minutes!
We are going on the 4-9th of oct and I’m just taking in all your videos, love your content!
Thank you so much! We will be there during that time as well! We hope you have an incredible trip! Thank you for watching!

I'm so thrilled to know that I can go through the castle WITHOUT riding the ride. Can I do the same for the bank??
Absolutely! Just let the team members know at the entrance, and they’ll tell you what to do!
@@ThePughTwo Thanks for telling me to let a team member know at the entrance that I don't want to ride the ride. Wonderful tip, thanks ☺️

Hey Mariel! Welcome to the channel! We hope you find it both helpful and entertaining! That is amazing! We have actually never been chosen for the wand experience. It’s one of our goals!
they actually offer hot butter beer in restaurants now all year round
Yes, we’re so excited about it! We love hot butterbeer, although it’s hard to drink when it’s 90+ degrees outside lol
do you guys know how much the wands are? in person not online :)
We’re not sure exactly but somewhere around $60! We always get our UOAP discount, so we can’t recall the retail price.

Another thing to do is talk to the shopkeepers in the Wizarding World they have a lot of insight and they love to share easter eggs.
Love this! We should have mentioned it for sure, but there is just so much going on in the wizarding world! You could spend days in there and still not see it all!
Love all your videos! I could watch them all day. How much are the interactive wands?
That’s so sweet, thank you! We think they just went up to $60. I think you can see the prices on Universal’s store??
I love your tips! We are an annual pass holder.
Thank you! We're so glad they've been helpful!
Can you wear the robes on the rides? It seems rather long to go on the rides with
Thank you for all the videos. Love your red hair and my daughter loves the horror face mask. Where ia it from?
We think you are referring to the death eater mask! Those can be purchased in Borgin and Burkes!
The team members are so fun to interact with!
the butterbeer described in the book is hot though - I guess it's a bit hotter in Orlando than 🏴 🤷🏻♀️
They do offer hot as well!

What is butter beer? What sort of flavor does it have?
Its a drink from Harry Potter and has a butterscotch type of flavor!
do the shops open early with the extra hours? our kids want interactive wands but i want to beat the lines
Yes. The shops in Harry Potter World will open with early park admission. If you’re wanting to see Ollivander’s show, getting it done first thing is a great idea. If you’re just wanting to get the wands, it shouldn’t be a huge
hassle at any time.
Y’all are so sweet, thank you! Also from TN, near Knoxville.

Where is the area to record your loved ones going through platform 9 3/4? I want my husband to record me and my son going through.
It’s in line for the Hogwarts Express going from London to Hogsmeade! Aka going from Studios to Islands. It’s just after you walk up the flight of stairs. They’ll have to hang back a little to snap a photo. It’s kind of hard to explain, but I hope that helped!
@@ThePughTwo thank you. That does help. Is that area where they can record off to the side then?
Thank you!
What is the weight limit for the rides? I don’t have the issue for me but my boyfriend is like 350lbs would that be an issue?
Was it mad busy at universal in March? I'm going March 2022!
It was pretty busy because of spring break! We have been multiple times during March and its always pretty busy in the parks!
When you are using express passes... do you still get to see all the different areas of the Hogwarts castle?
You do but not nearly as many! We always suggest that if you are a big Harry Potter fan, you should wait in the normal queue at least once!

It’d make it a much better attraction! I’ve always wanted to get a chocolate frog on the train. Bonus points if you get a Dumbledore card!
What tripod do you suggest for taking pictures and videos on an iPhone at the park?
We actually don’t have a tripod for our phones, we take photos/videos on our camera. We use the Joby GorillaPod for our camera!

If I am getting a 2-park pass, should I visit Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade first?
That’s just a personal preference! If you have early park admission, we would suggest going to whichever park opens early that day. If I was going for the first time, I would go to Diagon Alley first and then ride the train over to Hogsmeade just like in the first movie, but that’s just me! 😂
