C2’s seats are almost tall as hell lol. Remember when my bus switched from the CE to the C2 and it was crazy. You couldn’t see over the seats and the whole thing just felt huge lol
Depends on each bus. When I was in high school, our CE had really tall seats as well. Sometimes we got older spare CEs with lower seats, and it was a weird feeling. We eventually we got a C2 ad our main bus, and the seats were the same height as our normal CE.
I think there's only 3 conventional choices now. The Bluebird Vision, Thomas C2, and the IC CE. When I was in school, you could see all the bus coach choices they had. Initially, my district was all gassers with either the AT-540 or AT-545 with Ford, GM, and International chassis. They mostly had Bluebirds (my absolute fave) but they were also a couple of Waynes, Superiors (my unsung favorite), Carpenters (I loved that little door that folded in), Ward (the bus I rode in early childhood was an International S-1700 Ward with the 345 Gas and AT-540), and Thomas's. Back then, you had of a choice GM, Ford, and International chassis. I think International was the most popular one but I feel like nowadays Freightliner has took over. My district runs a whole bunch of Thomas FS65's and Thomas C2's but they do have a few IC CE's.
I remember being so excited when my bus driver got a c2 years ago. At the time I did not know the name I just knew that they looked super cool because of the flat lights.
Driven both. I like the windshield better on the international. Better vis. Also the student mirror is up higher for better observation into the seats. (Not much but every little bit helps)

I’ve ridden in both of them and the windows make the bus feel and look huge. it’s kind of interesting how just the windows alone create the illusion that it is bigger
Man i just fucking love C2’s. I used to like ic’s more but after riding in a c2, i like it more than any bus. And the exterior design REALLY grew on me. Wasnt a big fan at first but i really like them now. It just feels, looks, and sounds better than any other bus in my opinion
From preschool until 1st grade, I rode on a Thomas Saf-t-Liner FS-65, with an occasional substitute by a Thomas Vista with the yellow spider-web style wheel hubs. Once 1st grade rolled around, I rode on a Saf-t-Liner C2, and I have to say that I preferred there earlier models with the thick stop bars that slammed into the side and extended very rapidly
my first time riding a Thomas bus, is when my school bus broke down and I road on my friend’s bus. They were literally playing rap music and had THE BEST AC ON.
Thomas is also more comfortable and better build quality inside, I've been in both, the IC is true to the old school buses but the thomas is more modern, I'd honestly like the IC better if I were a driver
My school never got the Thomas C2. When I first saw them around 2011 or so from the neighboring school district I thought they looked so cool and futuristic. At the time they were trying to phase out the old square cab on engine Thomas buses with the International CE's. I thought the internationals were cooler but the Thomas busses have such a mean sounding engine.
When I used to ride the buss I've ridden on like, 5 different busses in the 10 years I rode on busses. In Kindergarten and 1st grade, I rode on one of the OLD OLD ICCEs, like, this thing was at the LATEST, a 1995, then throughout 2nd, 3rd and 4th, I rode on a Thomas C2, then in 5th I rode on a newer ICCE, then all through middle school I was back on an older ICCE, but this time it was no older than maybe 03', then my final two years of riding a bus, we got one of the BRAND NEW fancy BlueBirds.
I always hated having to ride in a Thomas c2 to get to school when I was in elementary cause I could see anything outside the windows were to talk for me to see 🤣
I found it interesting at least at my school they had the old traditional busses then the c2 and then started buying newer buses that looked like the old traditional bus but was clean and and had def. in fact the def is how I could tell the newer busses were newer
Germany's busses are build by Volvo, MAN (VW Group), VW or Mercedes-Benz. Their look modern, have seats which looks like a cheaper version of racing seats and have LED-LCD-color displays and the most are also connected to the internet and have free WiFi.
C2 has those 2 air conditioning units, one near the front in the right and one at the back. It has seat belts. But the CE just looks super classic. Both 100% better than those buses with no air conditioning and you’d break your arms and fingers trying to get the windows up/down lol

the CEs in our school had tinted windows and the low ceilings made it so cozy, now we have c2s and they feel a lot tackier

We used to call the C2’s the fancy bus and would be hype asf if we rode one on a field trip
CE’s live in the shop though, lol. That’s why we only get C2’s now
