@trainsandplanesproductions2004 Well BLUEBIRD uses the FORD 7.3 V8 so depending how long their agreement with FORD is, you can probably rule them out. THOMAS perhaps. But then again the way things are going with FORD and their quality problems, BLUEBIRD may use that new CUMMINS gasoline engine too.
@@rmatt24 Exactly. They said it was going to premiere 2024. But so far nothing as far as OEM’s. It’s possible they said forget the whole thing but just wait and see. Gasoline engines are less costly and no DEF issues.
I might be the only one who likes this bus, but it’s not bad looking whatsoever. It’s new design after so many years. The only bus I like more than this is a FS65. All time favorite bus right there
Your not.the only one that likes it.Startimg with the windshield. Has excellent visibility & the curved flush glass helps with quietness and lower drag coefficient. The lower hood cuts down on dead space & allows the windshield to offer more visibility DOWN LOW. Likely to aid in seeing SMALL children & not run them over. Theyre making tremendous strides in safety, fuel economy, and ROAD MANNERS. Im sure this bus rides very nice compared to the loud, smoky, hot/cold, unrefined heaps I rode on. 👍🏾
Same being that my Kenworth is in the shop and I’m on this international truck I’ve gotten used to it so but I would say i don’t like the buttons being missing from the panel but the space and floor is nice
Nice looking bus. I like the redesigned dash and gauge cluster. But one thing that always blows my mind. Why does NC just do all yellow buses? No white roofs, no black rails or black window frames. Make it look classy like SC and FL has. All yellow looks like it’s from the 60s and 70s.
Air conditioners! When I rode the bus in the 70s, our "air conditioning" was courtesy of the opened windows! I still remember the sound of the Allison automatic transmission.
Yes. As great as ALLISON bus transmissions are and as always have been, the newer versions no longer have that jet engine sound. Combine that with the old DETROIT DIESEL 2 cycle going full throttle and wow.😁
@@crabbymilton390 Fort Worth ISD didn't use diesel power until the mid 80s, I think. When I rode the bused, they were gas IH Loadstars with that automatic. I think some of the Fords used that automatic also.
@@MisterMikeTexas All of the bus chassis builders used various models of the ALLISON automatic. That’s correct that diesel engines in school buses didn’t become common until the about the late 1970’s.
Nice review. Yeah it don't look that bad to me I mean it's a school bus but idk I'd say I don't like how the gear shift is small to where it's unnoticeable. That's my only flaw then it really takes getting used to.
This reminds me of a Blue Bird too much. I do get Thomas vibes as well but I’m not impressed with this new offering. The steering wheel controls for door and lights operation were so much more convenient. Then you have a single switch that activates your warning lights opens and closes the main door?
We just got one as an activity bus and they changed the cross view mirrors, I have a few pictures but I didn’t get to go inside as I was in school when I saw it and I managed to get about 10 minutes to get a few pictures of it before going to 4th period, I think it’s weird but I think it will grow on me.
I honestly think if I were a school bus driver now and I was given a new IC such as this one, I would prob end up looking for a new job, the outside isn't that bad except for the P/S mirror but the inside driver'/s area is a no go for me
That has got to be the most hideous school bus that I have seen to date and right behind it is the Freightliner Saf-T-Liner. Why have air brakes with an electric park break switch? I will take a good 'ol push pull valve any day.
I work at Thomas Built buses in C2 plant. I build school buses and they are getting redesigned soon. Mostly front end and driver experience. Probably will see them next year 🤣
No more easy access to the air/electric door compartment unfortunately. It looks nice inside and outside. I still prefer the previous generation design.
@@carolinabusboyi hope they aren’t standard either. The round ones are superior because you can see more on a larger surface area compared to the new style mirrors being a portion of a circle.
Yeah, I don’t like the HD style mirrors (the mirrors that kind of resemble Pac-Man), as they appear to be small yet bulky, as for the bus itself, I don’t love it but I also don’t hate it, I definitely want to see one in person before I give my final judgement.
Naaah lol one minute it's "I don't like nothing" then it's "Thomas wanna be" lol yall know this is the largest upgrade in the industry this Era. C2 had it's time in 07', it's IC time except it.
Ugh, I'm so glad they added that front end to their buses. It is SO gorgeous!
CUMMINS is supposed to have a gasoline engine scheduled for release this year. I wonder if IC will have this engine as an option.

Yess, I love me a 1998-1999 FS65

The new front of the bus is just game changing, it has its own personal AC vents now since the last time I saw an NC spec IC CE

Air doors are an option on the third gens.
Love to see a lift version of it.
Do these buses have outside cameras? Do they include any major new features inside of the bus?
I like the new design of the new IC CE bus!😊
love the New bus
You’ve got to watch out for those snakes! Lol😆

2000's bus hit different
Chrome grille no longer available?
Comments are now on, enjoy!
Will they have buses with the NORMAL PB option? I don't like bendix that much
It would usually be an option however I don’t keep up with IC so I have no idea if that’s standard or not, I’ve noticed all the demos have that.

They really should have changed something on the back to make it distinctive from the 2nd gen.
Redesigned just like the mv. That design was there from 2004-2024
In NC, the grille should be whatever the manufacturer’s standard color is.

Hopefully Baltimore County gets the redesigned IC CE for the next school year
Did they just removed the radio ?
Edit nevermind the radio is just closed , i thought its gone but its just hiding
I wish that my school district here in Arizona to get the 3rd generation CE by IC Bus
My district got brand new buses recently IC CE and Bluebird Vision buses
Customer deliveries already underway
I was told they wouldn’t start pushing them out until July. Production has started though.
I still can't believe IC will stop the RE production lol. I wonder if they'll ever bring it back in down the line.
