Janey, you might want to put small sealed blocks under the feet to keep water runoff from other plants from "wicking" up table feet. Would also raise it up a bit for working comfort since you're a tall gal ❤

At first I thought make sure table legs are on the same surface, pavers or pebble stones, but this is even a better idea.
Janey, would you ever consider a sheet of plexiglass over the top of the table to protect its finish? It definitely would be more carefree for you as coasters, seeping water & splashes wouldn’t be a concern. Lovely start to this project❤

That table is an old Ethan Allen table. I had it in my house as a kid. We used to build forts under it and bang our heads on those metal bars.

You may want to put something under the feet that are touching that gravel you don't want the table to wick up any moisture. 😊

In your spare time, 😂!
Trim branches early in the morning, choosing healthy ones with vibrant leaves.
Remove leaves from the bottom part that will be submerged in water.
Place them in a mixture of water and a floral preservative for a few days.
After they’ve hydrated, air dry the branches by hanging them upside down in a warm, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Optionally, you can use a glycerin solution to preserve flexibility and color by soaking the branches in a mixture of one part glycerin to two parts water until they absorb the solution.
Once dried, arrange in vases without water, and they should last for a long time.
Get a piece of glass or a large piece of plastic for the top of the table … it will protect it…great find!
“Where there is a will, there is a way”. I admire your fortitude. The greenhouse looks beautiful. The table brings a bit of elegance. It will be a wonderful work table. You are lucky to have your dad help you think “things” through. My husband is not an engineer by profession but has an engineers mind. That can be frustrating but he’s saved me many times.

The green house is beautiful ❤ I would put a couple of rows of pavers in front of the door with a rug to wipe your feet on to help keep the dirt off the pavers inside. Just a thought ❤

I love your greenhouse Janey. I am so happy for you. You did such a wonderful job on your floor too. What a great idea using small pebbles! The floor looks like it is tiled until you get up close. It is practical and beautiful. The gravel colour matches the table - perfect! You really are achieving a lot Janey, considering that you have an injured foot and you have come up against a few 'hidden' problems, such as concrete in the ground. Nevermind; you got your lovely roses in the ground and they look gorgeous, as do your pots.
Your table you put in your greenhouse is just like my dining table. Mine is in perfect condition because it has not been used much. Purchased new in 1976 so this may help you in determining the age of yours Nice find

Beautiful table and what a bargain! If you use the terra-cotta pots, Make sure you use the saucers that are sealed or seal them yourself because the water will seep through on your table.

Just wanna say that my daughter and son-in-law furnished practically their whole house with fb Marketplace finds! 3 years later when they moved, they were able to resell those pieces for the same prices, they were surprised but very happy!

You might consider sealing the tabletop with some polyurethane or a product called Gator Hide by Dixie Belle, just to give the top a little more durability. Just a thought.

It is beautiful, You need fan, because of fog on glasses, Don't glue the floor, because of watering plants❤ good job, Also those raise beds perfect to put bulbs, to sit in your green house, look at spring flowers❤

The greenhouse is spectacular and I know once Spring comes you will have it filled and looking perfect. Those bunnies are so damn cute!
I'd be putting the roses a little closer to the greenhouse, anyway, so that's a win! I'd guess that concrete was to hold in a paver path or patio, but good call from your dad to check before breaking it. If I'm right, you might find another "curb" on the other side of an old path, with baserock in between. Milo and Isaac can figure that out for you.
And I'd definitely close the greenhouse doors before putting pots next to it. You'll want to protect the doors from hitting the pots and find a way to prop them open in the summer.

I'd have a glass top made for your table then you can use it freely. Looks great so far.
Scoring such wonderful, inexpensive things on FB Marketplace is SO fun! I've done the same recently. The table looks great. The 'rope' detailing around the edge of the table is known as "Barley Twist", a common furniture embellishment. Have fun decorating the greenhouse.

What a beautiful table and what a great find! You could paint the top of the table black and it would match the greenhouse beautifully. Then seal it with a polyurethane. Everything is coming together. When is your next surgery?
Hi Janey, When cutting woody stems for floral design take off all foliage that will be under water and use a hammer to soften the ends of your cuttings so that they will continue to take in water. Lay your stems on their sides on a hard surface and give them a wack or two! Hopefully they will last in your containers longer. A old crock would look pretty cool if you had one and would tie into the color of your stones. 😉

Facebook marketplace is amazing, I have bought and sold many things and always great finds :) I love the olive branches in the vase so pretty on the new table. Planters are so pretty, the white pops off the black frame of the greenhouse. They definitely look so much better in front of the greenhouse than your front porch. Your porch needs larger black planters for contrast. Those bunnies are adorable. Monty is really growing up fast and is a lucky dog to have such a wonderful family and home to explore and run around. You should buy a metal detector, it’s a fast way to check for most outdoor pipes and wires before digging. I had one I used on my farm property which was great. Not foolproof of course because irrigation and pvc won’t be found but the scary ones like electric and gas are going to most of the time.
You need a China hutch base on the side to store stuff and have a countertop for more plants!
