I really enjoy the high-quality production of your videos. Like I really love that you include the original clip but instead of just silent, you put in the sound of a projector. These little clips are like tiny time machines.
Isn’t it so interesting that it was perfectly normal to wear full suits onto the beach? And full dress? Thank you so much for bringing these videos to life.
I was born in 1958 and it was quite common here in Britain for people, especially older people, to dress smartly on holiday even on the beach. My grandfather would have considered loosening his tie slightly and undoing the top button of his shirt as being casual.
Nowadays slobs go in their pajamas into banks, stores, malls, flights, etc. even teachers ( who used to dress nicely everyday) have pajama day and they're dressed like slobs... . I grew up in the 60's and 70's so I know!
Incredible transformation of old footage. Your skill at doing this with the technology at hand is amazing. I love reading all the nice comments that others have written as well. So many great comments. So sympathetic to your aim to do this. Makes you think about life and that us that are alive today are just passengers in time like those folks in the film. Thank you.
Thank you for showing us colors other than slightly varying shades of blue. The colors are most likely very "off" but they are a big improvement over light blue, medium blue, dark blue, blue gray, etc. that some other similar channels give us. As if no one prior to 1950 ever owned a red tie or a yellow dress. Kudos!
Good Day To You🤠👋 @glamourdaze!!! I Always Look Forward 😁to Yer Sunday Drops of These Stunning Vintage Days!!! I Thought The Lovely Lady💖 and Her Sweet💖 Lil' Baby Looked Familiar!!! As Always, You Nailed 💖This Again!!!
Mind blowing - some of those people would be almost 200 years old today. They had no idea that people would be watching them on a video on their mobile phones through an interconnected world wide network.
Other than dressing formally at the beach, they really aren't any different than modern people. The gestures and behavior are all the same, even playing with their rumbustious pups. Really humanizes old footage that otherwise comes across as otherworldly in black & white. It's unthinkable that everyone, even the baby who can't walk yet, has long come and gone. Most of us will meet the same fate, being remembered through a single moment in time in a video or photo, if we're remembered long after our deaths at all. The story of our nuanced lives sadly dies with us and we become just one of 100+ billion who once were.
Does anyone know the guy at 0:17 who is lying down an reading a newspaper and suddenly hides his face as soon as he sees the camera? was he not supposed to be with the lady on his side? Or was he afraid of being found by the police? It is not too late to call the police!!
126 years ago ! It was originally made when movie technology was in its infancy. It was a very expensive piece of technology. Today most of us carry high definition video cameras in our pockets. Our smartphones!
Here is my second attempt at bringing this unique glimpse into the distant past, back to life. Ironed out some glitches in the original upload. Enjoy!
Thank you for your dedication ❤
Thank you so much for doing this!!

I love the restorations - but to be honest, I also love seeing the original, and what film was like back then! It makes it seem all the more real ❤

Thank you for including the black & white footage.
An excellent restoration - glad to see you also include the original film for comparison. 🎥🎥

They had and have no idea, yes. Just like you have no idea and never will have about the year 2150.

O tempo manda dizer que está passando ... aproveite.
Even that baby is long gone. Can you imagine 220 years from now? I can't even imagine the technology people will use to look back at us.
126 to be percise
Nice❤

Great comment you have made. Spot on. So true.
bravo
Take me back
A lovely day at the beach in our suits and ties.
and a million petticoats!!
I see hats, hats and hats! Everyone wears a hat. The most eye catching is the lady with a baby!
👍👏🙂❤️
The little girl in sailor uniform in the footage beginning became the inspiration of Japanese school girl uniforms.

126 ans plus tard, des internautes du monde entier regardent cette vidéo sur leur portable. :)
Всегда с нетерпением жду ваши ролики.Спасибо вам за ваш бесценный труд!!!❤❤❤С любовью из России.
👏🎀👏
0:26 What blows my mind is that the young baby there can still be alive by a tiny chance!
toll
Just an ordinary fashion show at the beach
Is this from photos? if so what is the program please?

This would be damn near perfect if the hands weren't so mangled. AI still has a long way to go.
😂 ya lets all go to the beach in our wool coats n 15 layer skirts n LOOK at the water.
Back when people respected each other and wore modest clothing! Nowadays wearing a bikini = you're powerful 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Look, no ones half naked! Oh how times have changed.
Excellent work
