I Love to sing CONFIRMATION. BEBOP IS SO FUN TO SING. OF COURSE,IF I didn't have opera training ,there's no way. Ya have to have the chops. I'm a mezzo, of course I don't sing jazz that high.

Jimmy Heath is such a sweet and likable guy, like his brothers - and the description he gives of the musical contribution of Bird is very precise.

I love hearing jazz elders like Jimmy Heath and Sonny Rollins sharing significant jazz history through the oral tradition of storytelling. What a treat to hear it from those who were there. 🎷😎👍🎼

Rest Well Jazz Legend. Mr. Heath is truly missed. This video just warmed my heart. We are so blessed to have his memories. Such a beautiful soul, may the Good Lord recieve him kindly.

What Mr. Heath said about how Charlie Parker navigating melody, chords and harmony is what the now late Allan Holdsworth did on guitar, even though Holdsworth cited Coltrane as one of his biggest influences.

A powerful story.Three giants on the saxophone, Charlie Parker, Jimmy Heath, John Coltrane.
