What a quote 😭 lol
Love your channel!
The way they all drank and smoked they probably all had bad breath.
😂 Okay? I bet that breath was out of control!! 🐉🐉🐉
But you can still brush your teeth, lol
@@mik7564Of course and you can still have showers, but some celebs are indifferent to showering regularly.
It was supposedly ill-fitting false teeth that caused him pain and the source of the bad breath.
@@seamlab8870Yes but heavy smoking and drinking will cause severe bad breath!!
He was so handsome. Loved him in Gone with the Wind, his facial expressions were stellar. He was a great actor
He had work done to his face. You should see his early pics.
He also had surgeries on his ears because they were enormous and stuck out!!!
If a documentary film were to be made on Clark Gable, George Clooney would be perfect to play him
It would be the most exciting role he’s ever played too
Agreed!!
maybe if they got George like 20 years ago..
I hate to say it, but I agree.
I hate when attractive celebs age. A.I. will take over so we won't need actors.
Agreed
He passed away on my grandma's 36th birthday and she had the biggest crush on him. She's 98 now and still love to see Gable's movies. 🔥🔥🔥
A white man, who is a fine classical Hollywood actor, alongside being the definition of "tall, dark, and good-looking", AND a civil rights activist in the pre-MLK era?! Wow. They sure don't make actors like they used to (compared to Clark Gable, there are so few men who measure up that much today). He is the reason why I watched Gone with the Wind. He brought Rhett Butler into life so much that no one else can replace him in that role. Plus, the fact that he was so cool makes my respect increase!
Is there any proof he was a civil rights activist?
Yes there is
Timothy Dalton is a good actor and really did a good job of playing Rhett in Scarlett in my opinion and other characters in movies. I eishe he did more James Bond.
Narcissists also can appear very charitable, especially if improves their image..that is an answer to your question of how can someone bad do something good
He was definitely a scoundrel!!
Love how everyone’s an armchair psychologist now
Except Clark was a good guy. You don't know what your talking about
Karine, I was on the HBO TH-cam channel and I was glad to see people so so so many people giving you credit and shouting you out for HBO doing doing an episode on Ms. Luna. Her name starts with a D. I can’t remember how to spell it but you featured her. HBO made an episode about her and a lot of people were crediting you! I must say Clark Gable had good jeans. His son and grandson (RIP) both very handsome men.
Aww I have to go check that out. I love y’all so much 😢😢♥️♥️
Yes Donyelle Luna!!! I saw the trailer on HBO and immediately though of Karine!
Genes.
Omg!!! Congratulations on being recognized 👏🏽 ❤
@@adj5767 Auto-correct. I didn’t want to edit it because it would take away Karine’s ❤️. Have a great day.
Clark Gable, James Dean ,Marlo Brando and Paul Newman were definitely Johnny Depp, Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt of their era. My granny had the biggest crush on Clark Gable too.
James Dean was more of a teen sensation. It's unfortunate how short his career was.
Hi five to that!
When my father in law was young he looked just like Clark Gable
I looked like clark gable...in my dreams@ 😂
Shallow talk: he looked better than Clooney, though.😂
Facts 💯
You're not lying. But, I guess handsomeness is in the eye of the beholder. 🤷🏾♀️😂
🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣Say it🙋🏾♀️
WAAYYYY better ‼️ 💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥 Clooney can't even come close. That man had too much swag.
@@karenearle5507 see, I wanted to edit to say that. WAYYYY BETTER. I don't get the comparisons.
I just kept staring at him like sheeesh he was super fine good lawd! The charisma that bleeds through him is ridiculous 😂😂 I don’t blame them for falling for him
Please do Vivian Leigh if you haven't. She got a raw deal in the end what with her bipolar condition. Olivier was horrible to her AND jealous of her gift. She was actually more talented in the opinion of many.
I did a video for her, her story is so sad 😢
@@KarineAlourde indeed, one of the saddest Hollywood stories. I couldn't stand Olivier after I discovered all that. I should have known you covered it. You have fantastic taste. Absolutely. Class act. Much appreciative.💜👏🏾
@@KarineAlourde I have seen that one ~ I believe it was the 1st time on your channel. I have been terribly hooked on your channel since! Love ❤️ you Karine!!
I loved her video on Vivien leigh
I found him disturbing.
Having personality dualities is a part of the human condition. It’s quite common. The video is A1 per usual Sis. 🎥
Being nice doesn't mean you are good a good person overall.
It's also rumored Clark was black and they hid it. I watched a video on TH-cam a couple of years ago about it.Great job Karine😊
Yes, I think most of us heard that one. No one likes to bring it up anymore
If you can hide your so-called blackness, you're not black. He might have had some recent black ancestors (so does Heather Locklear) but that doesn't make him black.
Probably another reason he was unliked
I am very proud of Loretta Young, she handled that incredibly difficult situation better than I would have xx
Loretta's daughter looks JUST LIKE HER DADDY. Like Ronin Farrow and Sinatra.
I believe that because Clark Gable denied Judy being his daughter, karma came back to Clark by Judy having his whole face.
@@NovemberReigne He didn't really have a choice, btw.
He was indeed very handsome
He's alright, Alaine Delon takes the cake
Very handsome yet very divided.
@@purplelove3666Alain Delon is more handsome than him, but that's not saying much.
He looked fulgy in the beginning.
He had a grandson, also named Clark Gable, who passed away at the age of 30 from an overdose.
I've always believed Clark Gable had a black parent or parent of non white lineage. He had that dark coloring that always made me wonder🤔
It was said that he admitted having Negro-Native American ancestry, but Karine didn't mention it. President Eisenhower's mother was a biracial woman of Negro-ancestry, but Eisenhower looked pure Caucasian.
I'd be surprised if he didn't have any! 🤔
One energy can manifest it self in different ways. It makes sense that he'd be trashy and nice at the same time. "No psychic wholeness without imperfection." - Carl Jung.
Well…whatever they say about Gable…He is and will always be my favorite actor of that era. He’s just so beautiful!!
He reminds me of Sinatra. He wouldn't play clubs that had separate entrances or outright banned Blacks like the Copacabana, and he paid Billie Holiday's medical bills in private and things like that. But he was kinda a womanizer who messed up the career's and savings of people he dated like Ava Gardner. 🔥
@@JD-ku6vd sounds like you haven’t read her accounts. You should educate yourself if you’re going to form such strong opinions on other people’s lives
This was shocking. I did not know that he used people like this. That a bit disappointing. But I did know that he defended a lot of people who were treated badly in Hollywood. He definitely had a double life. One of my fav actors. Thanks for this amazing video.
Don’t believe everything in this video. This is all alleged, and here-say based on other people’s perspective and opinions of the actor.
He did what he needed to do to be successful. Hollywood isn’t easy. At least none of his women were underage. I still like him a lot. Great actor.
Clark was gorgeous, it was the eyes & dimples for me, but sounds like he was problematic as well,,, RIP 🔥🔥
Yes. This is why they called him the King of Hollywood
He is very handsome. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a black man passing as white.
Maybe he is Italian. 🤩
If you see his daughter, she definitely looks black. And he’s called tall, dark and handsome for a reason. Many people of that era said that it was an open secret in Hollywood.
@@MrPernell27 Hollywood is honest 😀
A white dude who was equally FOIIIINE and steadfast for our Civil Rights. L'awd 😂❤

I like how he supported civil rights
Me too. he was very close friends with Hattie Mc Daniel, his co star in " GWTW"
He was most likely a narc. The acts of good were to deflect from the bad.
I was thinking the same.

I really hate that when a famous person passes away that all the rumors about them are turned into “ facts”.
You said it. And they have no way to defend themselves from allegations and accusations.
Agreed
I do as well. You can say anything you want and people will just go “I KNEW IT!! He ( she) was just not right!”
Were these rumors proven to be true? If so then it's not a case or their legacy being sullied by here say but as you said facts which come with proof and evidence.
@@tiffanykim2773If they were facts then why weren’t they brought out when he was alive. Because they are not facts….
His grandson (the third and was the host of Cheaters for some time) looked just like him
He really did ! 😢 May he rest in peace ! 🙏
OMG, I love him so much with the gone with winds.
I knew his daughter Judy. She was my
Social worker in the maternity home I lived at in downtown L.A. back in 95😊
Your comments towards the end is reminding me of certain stories in the headlines these days😉 I think it does happen, where people do good things to "make up" for the crazy horrible things that they do. It's such a shame, and frustrating when you can see such extreme duality in people. 🔥
It's usually freemasons who do good in public to cover up what they do hidden from the public eye.
Clark has never been my cup of tea, but must admit he's a complex and interesting man. Thank you!
His late grandson was the former host of Cheaters. 🔥🔥
Yes, we all have good and bad inside us. It's up to you if you want to be more good or more bad. Hopefully more good.
So I guess handsome genes just runs in the Gable family cause both Gable and Gable III (Clark James Gable, host from Cheaters) were both very attractive and humble men. Rest in paradise to both men. I feel bad for what happened to Gable III though.
😢😊❤🎉

I smiled knowing he wanted to be buried next to Carol ❤
I don't think he was ever over her. 😔
His 5th wife must have found it very humiliating though. Especially since she was pregnant at the time of his death.
🔥 I used to love watch Clark Gable films. Although GWTW has its many problems, the scenes with Hattie McDaniel and Clark Gable are the best because you can really seen the mutual respect they have for eachother. Although Clark Gable made morally questionable decisions, i like to think people can change over time. I read that when Loretta Young’s daughter was about 15, he did come to her home and met her. But they didnt say anything about him being her father. Times were very different back then.
He kept Hattie Mc Daniel company when the academy wouldn’t allow her to attend due to racist policy of the venue she won best supporting actress
Karine, please do a video on Michael Landon (Bonnaza, Little House on the Prarie, Highway to Heaven)-he has a very conflicted personal history!
A true lesson here there's clearly a difference between being nice and being a good person.
Plus, his rap sheet sounds about right for the "few average people of today." It's the false teeth with the bad breath 😐 oh lawd 😅 🫨🤢🤢. Love your channel. Keep it going 👍 👏 🙌 😘 😊 😀 👍 👏 🙌 😘 😊 😀 👍
Never noticed how large his ears were until now.
That is so he could fly away when the consequences came around.
Can you please talk about 60's French actor Alaine Delon
Im so glad your Channel came up in queue!
I dated a man who was fine and developed bad breath 😷 I tried to help him with his oral & gut health but thank goodness it’s NO longer my concern.
Great content 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥 🔥 🔥
Clark Gable was, indeed, a very handsome man.
I Have Always Loved This Man 🤷🏽♀️
It's quite often that people have good and dark sides to them on this planet. It's actually logical because different people can and do learn different spiritual knowledge depending on their life situations, which creates variations.
I never knew any of the things that Clark Gable did when he was in Hollywood! Not even a quarter! OMG!!! What he did to those women was just plain wrong and just downright God awful!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
When I was younger I loved watching movies with Clark Gable. That line in GWTW has always been my favorite line !!!
Even facial features and those dimples in his cheeks when he smiles.... T.K.O. 🤩
No wonder he was able to sleep around so much. This type of guy can charm most women's panties off... but if you want him to respect you, you never sleep with him.
Yes, he was a complete womaniser
He was one good looking man❤❤
The bad breath rumor isn't real... I saw an interview with Shelley Winters, who date him and she denied it. Gable didn't have bad breath at all. 😉
I figured
🔥 I’ve read several accounts of Clark Gable’s life. It’s been written that he was a clean freak & had a special portable shower, he could utilize wherever he was, sometimes showering up to four times a day! We’ve all heard the rumors of his bad breath. I find this a bit difficult to believe that someone who was so clean on his person & who had numerous affairs, would neglect his oral hygiene to the point of odiferous breath. Considering the time in which he lived, it would make more sense to consider the possibility that perhaps the denture adhesive he used was foul smelling, not his actual breath.
I was thinking the same as you. It seems incongruous that someone so intent to stay clean would neglect their oral hygiene. I was wondering if he maybe had an oral infection or something.
@@BluePea88 An oral infection is definitely a possibility, but wouldn't it have to be ongoing for him to be labeled as having bad breath? If it was ongoing, eventually, wouldn't it have caused other health issues? He was the King of Hollywood, so the rumor could have been started by someone who envied him & wanted to be cruel without damaging his career. Truely, I don't understand it. We're told that he & Joan Crawford had an affair for years & she too, was supposed to be a fanatic about cleanliness. If his breath was bad, after taking one herself, so as not to offend him, wouldn't she have offered him a breath mint? It just doesn't make sense to me.
They said that about Jean Harlow... people said her breath smelled lightly of urine😢. She died in her 20s, kidney disease.💔
@@allisonoconnor8055 Yes, that exactly proves my point, she had a physical disease, which caused her bad breath.
@@LucretziaB I think the only one, who ever metioned it, was Vivien Leigh. And she may have had reasons of her own.
And also, it can happen to everyone on occation.
Dosen't mean bad hygiene.
It could perhaps be just something he ate, or perhaps if he was fasting.
It dosen't mean he permanently suffered from it. And (like you) I very much doubt that he did, Especially since non of all his women seemed be bothered.
Pity, I think that this rumour was ever started, especially if it was just on one occation.
🔥.. May I just say that I absolutely love your videos!... You cover a wide variety of different people and must really do your homework cause the stories and fact are top notch!.. You've got a fan here!.. Keep up the amazing work!.. Sending best wishes and love from Nottingham, England.. Xxx
I love your videos and research thank you so much I think people are always a combination of good and bad we are flawed and messy ❤
I love the way that you give detailed information of the stores. You are very thorough.
George Clooney does resemble Clark Gable. He must have had so much guilt after Carole Lombard’s death. I know it would have devastated me.
People are complicated, and can do wonderful things , but also do horrible things. This is the first video of yours I’ve seen, and the first video I’ve seen about Clark Gable I’ve ever seen. This isn’t the usual content I watch, but for some reason this video was in my feed and caught my eye. I really like your presentation style, very strait forward and informative with some good commentary. I’ll definitely check out more, especially the videos you mentioned you’ve done around individuals mentioned here ❤. Personally, I’m always going to believe a woman when she says she was assaulted. Like you point out in your video, society is always willing to excuse the rich and powerful and it sounds as if there was a pattern of disrespect and disregard for the women in his life already. Thanks for all your hard work!
You are killing it! You’ve done fascinating videos on everybody!
Lombard shared Gable’s interests, she tried her best to keep him from cheating on her, didn’t help. They called each other “ma” and “pa”. Gable was a big hunter, and he would travel to a hunting lodge in Baja California. My stepfather (passed away in 2017 at 93), told me how as a boy, when a plane landed (yes, they flew in), he would run to plane to carry bags for tips. He told me Gable gave him a whole dollar! This is during the depression, so it was a big sum. Thanks for the video, Karine!
I LOVE your channel Karine and often watch in the evening to relax. Thank you for your great content & funny "asides" 🤗
Do one on Duke Ellington.
YES! ❤
Carol Lombard spoke her mind tho!
🔥🔥🔥Indeed! I was growing up when Clark Gable was ALL that! Fascinating to hear all of this about him. A complex character indeed. Your work is impeccable dear Karine! I am a fan! Your integrity and hard work are paying off!
Excellent video Karine!! I love your channel! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been waiting on this one 😮💨
It's no surprise he may have done all these things: Ted Bundy got love letters and even marriage proposal during his trial by infatuated women just because he was a handsome man. People can do good things that they believe in and yet do awful things if they know they can get away with them.
Wonderful actor. Great star. Gable was old school because he never added anything in his performances that wasn't necessary. Young actors could learn lots from watching his performances.
🔥 Thank you. Love your channel.
Very handsome. Love him.❤
Whew. This guy was a hot stankin’ mess.🔥🔥🔥

🔥In conclusion, once again, people are complex and not one dimensional. But holy mole I had no idea this was his story, how did I not know this about one of the most famous actors ever? He was VERY handsome indeed, and as beautiful were Carol Lombard and Loretta Young. All of them really, gorgeous.
❤🔥 I love these videos so much. You are so respectful but go into all the details of their lives.
Thank You For This Great Biography. Loved Clark Gable's Talent
After he appeared without an undershirt in "It Happened One Night", Amercian men stpped wearing undershirts. It bad always been a thing, and that dissapeered after the movie was released. So he had a big impact right away!
I thought he was amazing actor and very handsome too. I didn't know about a lot of his life. But I learned a lot from your video and Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍👍
That was his lifestyle. I think he handled it well.❤
I'll say, there was so much about Clark Gable I did not know. Thank you for posting, great video💅
🔥wow, what a story, thanks for all you do, I really enjoy your videos
So do I 😊 .
Gable doesn't have to rape anybody
Plenty wanted him
Clark Gable is still the king. And I would say that he is the greatest American actor. He has the body of work, he was in one of the greatest American films, he could do dramatic and he could do comedy. And he was a handsome leading man.
The AFI has Humphrey Bogart as the greatest American actor but he doesn’t have the range that Clark Gable has. It’s not fair to give Bogart the title just because he was in Maltese falcon and Casablanca. Nothing compares to Clark Gable having to carry the weight of a Rhett Butler in “gone with the wind.” And doing a beautiful light comedy turn in “it happened one night.” -. You know the AFI has it wrong when they give Spencer Tracy the number 2 slot. (Note: I don’t understand the appeal of Spencer Tracy.)
Very well done. Thank you so much!🔥
🔥 love this
I grew up 20 miles from his birth town !
Legendary King 👑👑 The first king of swag👑👑👑👑Rest in paradise King Clark ❤❤❤❤
Clark Gable was that type that hated the world he lived in. So he let those who didn't look deeper, those who stayed on the surface he let them FEEL IT. When wealthy people only saw his good looks and not his depth he handled them like they handled him. Like a tool. They used him for his looks n bragging rights. He used them for money and connections. The parts of the world he did hold dear, he did respect he also let them FEEL IT hence fighting for fairness and rights. He loved Hattie McDaniels. He loved fairness, respect, and dignity.
Karine, you’re the best. You make high quality, well researched content and do it eloquently and elegantly. ❤ I’m here for it all!!
Oh I almost forgot!! 🔥🔥🔥
Just a guess; probably a narcissist. Image management. The mask they wear is very charming. Very duplicitous.
My thoughts exactly.
Accused is still presumed innocent until proven otherwise. Loretta Young had an obvious reason for saying it was not consensually. She definitely proved she was a liar and she waited til he was dead to make the accusation. I like that Crawford and he met for decades , thru their own marriages and they knew enough that they never made demands on one another
Loretta Young wasn't lying. Her daughter even looks like Clark Gable, and when they met, he imediatly recognized her as his daughter. But her daughter st that Point didn't want anything to do with him. And yes she waited after is death ți coem to light about the râpe because she was still afraid of him. She was a used by this big figure în Hollywood and she knew they woudl silence her or she would be suffering, not him. Those where other times, things were different and she took alot of courage and alot of time to be able to tell the truth
🔥I'm also Ayitian and I truly enjoy your videos! Your really good I love your work. Thank You
