She’s making him out to be the bad guy because she’s waiting for him to end it... She’s not mature enough to speak her true intentions and emotions
If he wanted to speak to a her he should have told her so before she went out to meet her girlfriend. That is what men do. It's the women you have to read between the lines what they mean because they can say one thing and mean the opposite or not say anything at all and mean a lot.
This guy needs to man up and say what he wants and not let the girl guess what is in his mind

Besides talking to her girlfriend means she'll discuss relationships and that can give her a better insight of what she's doing wrong In your relationship.

Jacob is very perceptive. I admire his ability to read their situation for what it is. I aspire to reach his level of discernment one day. Unfortunately, Haley is not into this relationship and Jacob's right, she is not ready for this.
Jacob is wrong when he says that she "is not ready for this". Why do you think she went through all kinds of hassles to participate in this experiment? She is clearly "ready for this", but obviously not with him. He is clearly not her type. I find it surprising that Jacob doesn't even consider that possibility. She clearly wants a hunk.

I disagree. Everything that comes out of his mouth is negative. How can she grow any feelings when he is criticizing her every move. I do night find his hyper-critical behavior to be "perceptive" at all. He just assumes that he can predict her every move to the point that she is completely fenced in and afraid to do anything.
It comes with age. Jacob is very intuitive. Just from body language, he knew Haley does not like him. She is gaslighting. She has 0 feelings for him, and has kept her guard up the whole time

I agree. It’s clear she’s not fully honest because she doesn’t want to hurt his feelings. But stringing him along while being uncertain about the marriage is even worse.
At the same time, I can tell she’s afraid to be vocal because of the fact that he tends to spin narratives in his head and make assumptions before hearing her out.

If she's completely honest and direct with him letting him know that she is not, and will not be attracted to him, there will be no narrative for him to spin. She looks pained to be with him. I think they are both good people, just horrible matches for each other.

It's really sad people sign up for this process, yet they have all these reservations be and walls in place. You are agreeing to marry someone sight unseen, not aware of their personality or character and dating history. If you don't have an open mind and you're not willing remove the walls, why go through the process.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone not being physically attracted to another one. That's clearly the case here. Haley is not physically attracted to Jacob. She cannot force herself to change it just like that. I don't blame her at all.

But he simply is more in the wrong imo because he is very confrontational and attacking her for her lackings while she simply can't help how she feels but was willing to just give it some time. She got him clothes in the hope that it might have a positive impact on her attraction to him, which is a very practical attempt of at least TRYING to fix the problem.
What is wrong with you? You clearly aren't actually watching the show. Anyone with half a brain can see that she just doesn't like him. She just is not interested in him and she needs to be honest. All she's doing is wasting his time and hurting herself. And she's making Jake out to be the bad guy so that HE will end the relationship and she will look like the innocent angel who got her heartbroken by this bad man.
Jacob is amazing! He's funny, he's caring and he's very smart. He takes care of himself and has a good life going. This girl is not worth being anyone's wife. She just isn't ready for it. Why doesn't she just admit she doesn't like him and stop wasting time. Remember Zach who didn't even move in with Mindy? She can leave Jake and still have her 15 minutes of fame which is obviously the only reason why she's here.
His assuming and lack of communication is very uncomfortable. I think he doesn't like the fact she likes to go out. He's so stuck on the fact she is younger. She can't read his mind! If there was a chance she would open up to him, he shut that down! Everything isn't all or nothing. Things take time!

I hate how Jacob assumes he knows exactly what Haley is feeling all the time. It's probably a week and half into their marriage and Jacob has already given up on giving her time to let her down her walls. I believe patience and communication is needed on both ends. 🙄
Have you seen this show? Very rarely do couples last if there was no physical attraction, every now and then they do but both people need to be honest the whole way through and she doesn’t seem to be fully doing that.

I found so many similarities in Jacob with my ex😱 And I mean he’s good caring guy BUT he turned my life into deep depression, no positive or nice word to say… it was finally ended after 7 years. I realized I waisted so much time! Hope Haley moved on and found her happiness elsewhere.

If only she worked on her communication and personal issues, she would’ve handled the whole situation more appropriately. Regardless of whether she wanted to pursue this relationship or not. It’s all about communication. People with weak communication skills are always defensive, probably because they were forced to bottle up feelings in the past instead of being allowed to express emotions and thoughts. It needs a lot of work and therapy to work on this issue.

He is right. Haley was not ready for this because she is not thoughtful and considerate. When you leave to do something you tell your husband where you're going and when you will be back. As for the bracelet oh, she could have been thoughtful and realized that this hurt his feelings and just apologized and if she didn't like the bracelet, in a very nice way she could have explained it to him but also appreciated the gesture. No wonder she's like she is because of her mom. Her mom is supportive of her thoughtlessness and could have helped her since Haley doesn't get it.
I ask all women bashing Hayley to please take a moment and put yourself in her shoes. Having to deal with a man like Jacob. 40 years old extremely weird, overbearing, evidently insecure and needy. That's why I have to be Team Hayley!

And I ask a woman like you to put yourself in Jake's shoes. A woman who is a brick wall with her emotions, gives no affection and makes no attempt to get closer to you. A woman who is obviously not interested in you but is too much of a coward to come right out and say it. A woman who is just stringing you along for who knows what reason. He was very well-rounded, healthy and had a wonderful sense of humor. She lacked all of that...

Agreed. This is no different from dating and trying to get to know someone. Its a social experiment in which the people get married before the dating. But in reality they are strangers that are in the getting to know each other phase, dating phase of relationship. It has only been a month and there is no guarantee that they will grow in love or be compatible. They only thing they really owe each other is to be respectful and truthful if its not going to work.

Being in my late thirties and happily married for over a decade, I have found that some of the worst advice people give is often a variation of "attraction is not that important, especially in the long run." Wrong.
A relationship without physical attraction is just a friendship. If there is not a strong physical attraction both ways, a couple should not get married. Some marriages fall apart because the physical attraction fades.

Haley just wants to be there for the TV film spots and go visit her lady friends in the evening so she is lying when she wants to work on it the relationship. If she wanted to work on the relationship then she would spend the evening with him. She says she needs alone time but notice her alone time is always with other women.
All it boils down to is she just wasn't attracted to him but just didn't want to come off shallow because if she was her attitude would be totally different
I think they should just through in the towel. It’s clear she’s not into him... and sure she should be more direct, but I can see why she’s not.. The guy seems very abrasive. I think she should write a letter about her feelings and leave.
Just because someone speaks calmly is in no way indicative they’re ready for a partner.
Simply put: she was honest, and Jacob’s ego obviously got bruised. No one likes rejection however it’s not an opening to purposefully try and control the situation.
He’s basically been holding it against her by sending a joking text, and dismissing why she may not have been completely 100% fine with physical touch early on, especially in circumstances like MAFS.
Jacob’s using passive aggressive language and putting pressure on her with becoming physical instead of respecting and honoring vows which require patience, understanding.
She needs to run. I see her trying slowly but it seems he wants all or nothing RIGHT NOW. He is showing signs of possibly becoming controlling. She has her guard up for a reason. She needs to listen to what her gut is saying.

You folks need to stop analyzing the other person and focus on what can you do that they'll enjoy. It takes 2 for a relationship to work.. Also, communication is truly big.
