BMP-1 is a light tank ir war thunder that is able to use atgm against vehicles of its opponents. Since main gun and rockets are completely seperate weapons it allows you to deal with opposing firces extremely fast. additionally penetration allows you to attack even heaviest tanks frontally.
It also has the most gamechanging modification (BMP-1P) that changes majority of tanks characteristics.

Im from Czechia and my father was actually driving this vehicle (you had to go for military training in like idk when it could be seventies) and he was the commander of the vehicle, that means that he had to do all trainings for all crew members and he had actually a pretty funny story about that: one time there was a training with the rockets (good fact to know: the rockets were able to move with bcs they were attached to 4km long mettalic string) to the training arrived the general or whatever he was and they were shooting at a metal model of tank T-72 and my father has been told to not send the rocket to the metal model because he was third in the list, but my father was bored so he shot the metal tank, he said everybody was angry on him only he was glad that he hit it :D and he told me that BMP could go like 65-70 km in terrain and bcs the crew that was sitting in the back of the vehicle was not suspended so they had a really rough time there so they usually puked into the helmets, he said it was fun back then

The Type 74 (and the Type 10) suspension is better than the Type 90.
The 73mm gun actually shoots rounds very similar to a recoilless rifle instead of a traditional tank round.,
I'm sure it is not recoilless though becuase the rear of the gun is enclosed. That would not be good for the crew.
HEAT is so Cold War... Every time I use HEAT in this game I hear the commander's command in Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis. BMP1 was a freaking scary thing in Flashpoint.

because one hit WHEREVER and you're blown to fuck. You can literally hit the antenna and you'll kill a BMP. They are a joy to kill because you are guaranteed the kill.. It's also easy as fuck to blow them up with fighter MGs..

Seeing those Tiger II's die to HEAT and ATGMs is hard to watch
This thing is superior to the RaketenJagdpanzer 2 in every reasonable metric besides protection against heavy MGs, and is a full 1.0 BR lower. Every IFV does what the RakJpz 2 does but better and in most cases, at a lower BR (BMP-1 is the worst offender here).

I spent 90$ in reasearch just to boost up to the BMP-1. Once I saw that 76mm at 7.0 I was sold. Nothing like shooting 76mm RPG's at people. PLUS a TOW missile? I couldn't wait.

i did the math and well grinding took longer than working to getr paid 90$

I love the BMP-1, and it has been a key part of my Russian, German, and Chinese lineups!
Still wondering why this tank sits at 7.3 having both atgm and anti tank rocket against WW2 vehicles. Lot of people don't remember when the object906 was 7.0 with 6 second reload, heatfs, apbc, stabilizer and very good mobility but saying that it was balanced because it was easy to kill...
I could say the same about facing Ru251s in my IS-2 (the basic one) 😣
@@republic0_032 agree. But if you wanna go that path you have only 1-2 tanks to face out of their timeline ru251 and jpz4-5. How many 6.7 with heatfs, apds the german teams 6.7 have to face far more, even cold war tanks. But still you don't have atgms against 6.3-6.7 soviets...

At first i thought this was another PT-76 like abomination with huge penetration but without any damage. Glad i was wrong, it absolutely annihilates everything it meets, especially when you get to special hiding places before the enemy. One of the best 5 tier vehicles on soviet tree imo. Who cares about armor, having none is a good thing in this game tbh. I usualy get one shotted by the enemy with t-54s and my 100mm gun doesn't always penetrate some american heavy tanks, so it's mediocre compared to absolute chad BMP-1. I wish it had stabilization

You say it’s difficult to kill targets at distance with the gun? In arcade, however my favorite thing to do is lob shells over a hill or cover at 1-1,5 km using the range indicator on the nameplate. When you oneshot people like that, it makes them really upset. I got accused of cheating on poland after earning 3 sniper medals in just a few seconds like that.
In addition you can also shoot your Konkurs over or slightly around obstacles since it us a pretty maneuvrable ATGM.
BMP is probably the most fun i have ever had in the german tech tree.

Sagger missile has a minimum firing range of 500 meters. It flies upwards and after 500 meters you can get control of the missile. That's not what I'm seeing here.
Your videos are really good and explained! But to watch your videos is also one of the best examples how silly and unfair this aim-help-circle in RB and SIM is. Without this circle the game would need more skill for aiming and especially for fast aiming. What is your opinion for this circle in RB and SB?
