That is probably the most gorgeous pop filter I have seen. To me, a mic not only needs to sound good, but it needs to look good on camera. This icon enhances the look of the mic while doing is job well.
If your pop filter is blocking your lyrics, your space isn't set up effectively. There are several ways you can avoid this problem. If you're worried about the bulk of your setup from a mere pop filter over the actual sound, you're the problem. Very small pop filters do pretty much nothing. Set up your space better. You can also turn the mic itself a bit to the side (without actually moving it to the side) in conjunction with a pop filter in the typical position, not turned to the side like the mic.
Disclaimer: The Earthworks Ethos isn’t on the list of compatible mics for the ISOPOP BroadCast, so this was a bit of an experiment. :) 0 plosives with the SM7b though, thanks to the recessed capsule.
I just bought the Fifine k688 and would love to EQ it using EquilizerAPO but am not sure exactly where I should increase and decrease the bands. Do you offer any EQ service where I can send you an audio clip and you could help me get a custom EQ preset based on my voice?
Thanks for your time, but I don’t offer this service. I do have a tutorial that will get you in that general area: th-cam.com/video/ico1qWDudU4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6a6San68j6CYw-Hv
@@DaveSoltura I appreciate your reply, I have gone thru a few tutorials and still don't know what sounds most natural when speaking to friends. I sometimes feel like I sound too podcast/childrens book narrator when I am speaking and other times too nasaly and subdued too. Will keep trying to adjust to figure out something that works for me :D

Amazing video and compairson! I got the Maono PD400X, recommended by one of your videos. Works great but the pop filter is ugle but it works :)
I want to thank you for this review, with all the cuts and different scenes. The editing and time put into this had to be extensive.
@@BacktotheRetroReview Thank you for the kind words, Kevin. You made my day! Our editor poured her heart into this. I’ll let her know!
I dont think they ship to the Ph, planning on getting the broadcast.
Great video, as always brother!!!
@@levelupwithmikenewman Thank you, Mike!!
Looks great but those plosives did come through compared to the foam on the Earthworks.
I did mention that at the end! But when moved to the side, not a problem at all. It’s one of my favorite pro voiceover setups now!

would they work on the fifine AM8???
The ISOPOP for sure! Still have to try the ISOPOP BroadCast on the AM8.
@@DaveSoltura thanks for replying so fast!
