@@Altesia After listening for a bunch of times, I'd like to ask if it was intended to record it without much emphasis on drums. I think it is common to listen to prog metal albums that drums are a little louder, and with specific care on how each part is created, in order to make drummer fans very happy and want to study each section.
@@lauronunes7832 Hey Lauro, Yann the drummer here ! In the artistic battle between me and the boys, I obviously lost the privilege of having my drums mixed above hahaha! All jokes aside, most of the time in prog music, we serve the music, so sometimes, individual instruments can be placed intentionally (indeed, so good guess from you) below in the mix if it sounds better in some sections... I take notes tho, that you might need a drum playthrough version of the album sooner or later, or even some drum charts and stems ? ;)

Being a drummer, I usually end up listening more to bands in which the drummer historically stands out, like dream theater and others. Huge fan of Aquiles Priester who played in Angra, as well. That's why they became influential! But Altesia is a very cool band, congrats.
As one of the biggest Wilderun fans youll ever meet who drove 11 hours to my first time seeing them BECAUSE of the song The Garden of Fire, who has seeked advice in orchestration from Wayne himself that's helped me immensely, who has both Sleep at the Edge and Veil in his top 10, the little reference to Garden warmed my heart IMMENSELY. As does your similar use of dramatic sudden key shifts they employ and I (attempt to) employ in my own silly shit. Also THIS ALBUM IS AN UTTERLY BRILLIANT WORK OF ART
I was one of the Roadies yesterday and I fell in love with this band! Remedial sentence and Liar's Oath were my favorites, unfortunately bought the wrong CD, but oh well, it still has some amazing songs, especially Amidst the Smoke. Good luck in Portugal guys !

Exceptional ! I’ve been a Prog fan since the very early days and it’s rare that I run into an album with such fresh ideas and outstanding musicianship ! I can’t pick a favorite song as they all have unique merits !
Just saw your appearance on Doug Helvering’s show, The Daily Doug. Glad to see you get further recognition for your great music ! I have had Embryo on rotation along with my other Prog favorites for four months now. It is SUPERB !
Amazing job, love the chord and ambience changes, I have enjoyed it very much. I am a hardcore Genesis fan, but I also enjoy ELP, Yes, and I dig Dream Theater and Haken. Great job, keep it up, and congratulations!!!

The first time I heard Paragon Circus I had no idea what to expect from you guys, and it completely blew me away! Listening to this album for the first time, having heard Paragon Circus dozens of times, I had a good idea of what to expect, but it still managed to blow me away! Any time any of my friends ask for some good new music Altesia is my first response, and now I've got another whole album to recommend.
Great album excellently produced. Musicianship is over the top excellent. Wish all the best now and in the future. Come to the U.S. I will definitely see you in concert. PEACE!!
Awesome! I don't know why I didn't remember Sleep Paralysis from the live at Salem, but it's such a good track! It even has some unexpecT vibes to it. I also recommend to check them live, they have a very good stage presence!

Album of the year for me, I can't believe I missed this in October. I must get this CD on my shelf soon, heaven knows I'll be spinning it a lot next year. One of the best gems I've ever found while randomly sifting through bandcamp prog metal.
this album was a grower over the last couple of days, much more so than paragon circus... but by god has it grown on me. phenomenal album fellas, keep up the amazing work. much love from england.

Man I've been waiting so long for this release and it did not disappoint! Incredible album once again, that closer is just killer. Great atmosphere start to finish. Heavier yet prettier then the debut I think, though I'm not sure which I like better yet.

Someone recommended I give a listen to you guys and I must say. Initial listen to this album I enjoyed, so I decided to give Paragon Circus a listen. Holy Crap. I never bought music before on first listen before, but I did for the debut album. Everything was unexpected, a sax solo in the first 10 minutes followed by a violin solo in metal? Hell Yes. However, I will say this album doesn't hit me quite like the first one. I hear the influences and great musicianship. Clément curious, have you taken vocal lessons? I'm no expert, but if not, I think it may go a long way because you guys certainly have "The IT Factor". I hear a lot of Leprous, but vocals does seem a bit nasally to me like you are singing from the front. I mean it's going to be tough to be compared to Leprous because Einar Solberg is so unique expect to be critiqued as such. I like parts of each song that I hear from the debut, so I know the potential. I think also, I'm just not a huge fan of blast beats which is just a personal taste. The melodic soloing and ambiance with sudden progressive changes is my wheel house and I do get that with the epic track at the end. Probably because I hear some call backs from the first album in the song. :) That being said, don't let individuals sway you in any way. You guys be you. As for the vocal lessons, I haven't taken any, but I'll probably take some in the near future cause singing live or in the studio is really different. Otherwise, I don't really mind being compared to Leprous or Einar honestly, we like them and I guess they were a big influence a while ago, but we are 2 really different bands with different universes. But yes, Einar is a huge singer indeed !

@@Altesia For what it's worth. Like most progressive music, this album grew on me like a massive hurricane. So much fun and the 21 Epic at the end to tie everything in. I find myself listening to this one just as much as the first now. - Chad ;)
C'est remarquablement bien composé. Reste plus qu'à affirmer votre personnalité musicale et prendre un peu de distance par rapport à vos influences (Haken en tête, Opeth ensuite, parce que ça s'entend parfois fort fort ;-D) pour vous faire un nom, et peut-être aussi paufiner la stabilité de la voix (mais ça, c'est juste un peu de travail). Bonne route!
@@Metalicsound013 Oui c'était le but, reprendre le même thème en le transformant et en lui donnant une portée plus lumineuse en accord avec le concept de l'album alors que le thème de Reminiscence est beaucoup plus sombre. Exit Initia étant le pendant opposé de Reminiscence ça a été composé dans cette optique. Merci pour ton retour !

@@Altesia For what it's worth. Like most progressive music, this album grew on me like a massive hurricane. So much fun and the 21 Epic at the end to tie everything in. I find myself listening to this one just as much as the first now. - Chad ;)

composition is great! Although as someone else said it, vocalsw are a bit too nasal
C'est remarquablement bien composé. Reste plus qu'à affirmer votre personnalité musicale et prendre un peu de distance par rapport à vos influences (Haken en tête, Opeth ensuite, parce que ça s'entend parfois fort fort ;-D) pour vous faire un nom, et peut-être aussi paufiner la stabilité de la voix (mais ça, c'est juste un peu de travail).

@@Metalicsound013 Oui c'était le but, reprendre le même thème en le transformant et en lui donnant une portée plus lumineuse en accord avec le concept de l'album alors que le thème de Reminiscence est beaucoup plus sombre. Exit Initia étant le pendant opposé de Reminiscence ça a été composé dans cette optique. Merci pour ton retour !
