I like to think that Amit intentionally sought out a demon world so he could finally give in to the rage and kill everything in sight with zero guilt about collateral damage.
Seth barely won that imo, at best it was a draw, which is crazy considering how op they made the grim, but considering Seth is more comparable to an artillery shell than a mortal it fits.
@@RomanvonUngernSternbergnrmfvus honestly, Astorath is meant as a character to be someone who can beat the very best of the Blood Angels, while they are essentially on PCP. Seth beat him to a draw. THAT alone is a win, since normally anyone vs Astorath = dead. I'd say they are even, personally.
Also of note: spoiler warning, Amit was often the captain who would naysay or disagree with Glorious Hawkboi, a thing which Sanguineous liked, but on one occasion Sanguineous did get angry at Amit for something he said.
Seth showing up at the crib of astorath and throwing hands with him AND WINNING after he dared to execute two flesh tearers is going to be my fav moment in 40k forever up there with the khan roasting fulgrim. You’ve got this way too OP blood angel and then you’ve just got this man who can be summed up “RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT IS DONE” The war of the beast sucked but the scene where they show the flesh tearers Chapter in the feet of of a Titian waiting on the orks to cut in from the acid ocean the god machine is walking in will always be peak 40k to me and so cool.
Gabriel Seth is the noble, guiding light for the Flesh Tearers. The rest of the chapter knows what's wrong with them, but before Seth, they had no idea what to do about it, and so didn't stand a chance at curtailing their savagery. They were entirely directionless. He brought them that light to lead them back toward the nobility of Sanguinius. Sanguinius was a tragic hero, and moreso than a lot of other Blood Angel characters, Gabriel Seth is his father's son in that regard.
Personally all the coolest moments are given to us by the Flesh Tearers. In the audiobook Hunger Seth and his bloody boys are in a genestealer infested space hulk unknowingly being led by the helm of Amit. When they are ambushed and a Tearer is killed the company champion loses his fucking mind and becomes the bloody grim reaper of Tyranids. "Come wretches! Let us die together!" "I! AM! WROTH!" Gives me chills every time.
My favorite part of devastation Baal is when Gabriel Seth goes to tell chapter master Jewel that they need to fall back for fortress monetary and the tyrants back away hissing and growling at him but won’t get with in arms reach of him
You ever tried to come up with a homebrew that was a combination of the two? (Flesh Tearers & Crimson Fists) that could be a really unique and awesome combo
Also loved in Devastation of Baal, when Gabriel displayed the feather of Sanguinius to Sentor Jule, the Knights of Blood decided to redeem themselves by throwing themselves at Kah Banda
Gabriel is cool. He reminds me of Argus Brond from World Eaters. Is he a raging berserker who takes pride and joy in causing as much destruction as possible? Yes. But he is Effective, efficient, and strategic raging berserker leading bunch of nutjobs to kill people they are supposed to kill and not just random things. I wish World Eaters could be written like Flesh Tearers, but sadly, almost any reasonable named character in thenlegion was killed by Kharn at this point.
I'd say Gabriel is not on the "Top 10 space marines you don't fuck with" list, given that it has individuals such as Asterion Molech of the Minotaurs, Tyberos of the Charcaradons and Mephiston. I'm not too knowledgeable about space marines but I'm sure that Dark Angels and Space Wolves also got their GOATs. And that's not even taking into account traitors (I'm pretty sure Kharn would body Gabriel, the man won the duel against pre-ascention Sigismund and would have killed him if not for Rogal Dorn's intervention)
I love the blood angels the most out of every chapter because of the hope, and dread of humanity in 40k can be seen just by the blood angels alone. Sanguinius accepts his death knowing his sons will have to bear the weight of that loss, and he knew they would do it proudly because they are his sons. It’s so horrific how the black rage takes them and they are still able to be some of the most human of the chapters, nothing like the salamanders, and of course that can vary wildly from successor chapters eating people alive in some cases but hey they hangry.
Honestly my favorite aspect of the Flesh Tearers (and why if I ever start a second SM army it will be them) is due to how they see the black rage. They don’t see it as a curse or something to be ashamed of or dread, but instead as a gift, the last thing given to them by their primarch. It’s a neat touch and I good spin for a Blood Angels chapter.
Gotta love Gabe for the fact that he has held is chapter together through a combination of pure willpower and being bigger and scarier than everyone under him, as well as the fact that it took him about 30 seconds to utterly demolish the myth of Primaris marine physical superiority.
Well, the primaris was still physically superior. That wasn't really the point. It was a matter of superiority in general. Seth won because of his experience and unscrupulousness. Because he acted, while the other one was still busy pulling his head out of his own ass.

I just realised how STACKED the BA and their successors are with special characters. I love BA they are my favourite chapter and Sanguinius is my Fav primarch. but between Dante, Asteroth, Mephiston the Sanguinor and Gabriel Seth they seem to be very OP.
Just realized I think the Flesh Tearers may have some deeper ties to the Revenant Legion (original 9th Legion) which also make them less loved by the rest of the sons of Sanguinius. Spoilers for Echoes of Eternity: Nasir Amit recalls the times of the Revenant Legion. And the rights of Remberance. After the conclusion of a campaign, the Revenants would consume the flesh (mostly the brains) of the dead legion brothers. They would take their memories and experiences. To quietly honor the dead and maintain their memory in the legion. Amit recalls how the ‘Legion Master’ (Equivalent of 1st Captain /Chapter Master) had been one of those who had fallen in the campaign. The surviving most senior captain gets to have a more ‘private’ right of Remberance with the Legion Master. And then comes out of the separate chamber taking the name of the legion master and his armor. The Revenants called themselves the ‘Immortal 9th’ due to this imo. Far fetched conspiracy I thought of after listening to Echoes is the Flesh Tearers continued the right of Remberance after separating from the legion. Practically confirmed in ‘Disgraced’ (Short story in The Successors anthology). After receiving Primarius reinforcements Seth dictated to the chapter that they could no longer consume the flesh of fallen Flesh Tearers (at least not in the presence of normal humans or new marines). Seth took on the memories of Amit. Bald. Mad as hell, and not willing to lie or conceal his nature as an Astartes for brownie points from mortals. Long story short I believe Amit may have been lost to the chapter for a time but his body was recovered and his memories passed down to successive Chapter Masters. Hence the high amount of pride in the chapter and their against the grain attitude compared with other 9th descendants in their opinion of the Red Thirst/Black Rage.
I think the Flesh Tearers are failed Blood Angels and signs of the degeneracy of the sons of Sanguinious. They represent the Blood Angels forgetting the teachings of their Sire and returning to the days when they were called the Revenant Legion.
2:06 I would make the vehement argument that Helbrecht takes that, he used to be the front and center character on the GW site back in like 5th - 7th edition
Mr. Bones, even though you are wrong about the blood angels, and I am right about them, I can't disagree with you either. I think because I have watched too many hours of your content, but that doesn't matter. I just want to let you know the blood angels is the best chapter and the best chapter master is the one and only DANTE, if you disagree you are just wrong and haven't had is awesomeness inside your soul yet.

My 3rd and 4th edition army of choice. Also being able to rock eight dreadnoughts with the force organisation charts of the day game me a warm fuzzy felling inside. I remember when the toured with the first warhound titian model and I zurg rushed it with three furioso dreads. I mean they died but it was fun.
Literally played with Gabriel Seth in a game 2 nights ago lol carried the whole thing, solo'd a Screamer killer. Living beyblade is accurate AF. He gains +1A per every 5 models near him.
It’d be funny if in some lore a fleshtearer gets captured by world eaters, they give him butchers nails and set him loose, only for the butcher’s nails and black rage / red thirst to cancel eachother out, the marine becomes very calm, stoic, and rational, and he becomes an honorary ultramarine or something.
Other than the Flesh Tearers my favourite BA successor chapter is the Knights of Blood, despite being heretics they still came to Baal's aid in the Devastation of Baal and sacrificed themselves so that the others could regroup!
‘The bonds of Blood transcend all others. But no blood runs stronger than that of Sanguinius’ ‘By the Blood am I made… By the Blood am I armoured… By the Blood… I will endure.’ - Gabriel Seth, The Guardian of Rage. ‘The kindness of angels is the sharpness of a sword blade’ - Chapter Master Gabriel Seth 'The Blood Angels. First amongst the sons of Sanguinius, only they were arrogant enough to hide their rage behind masks of gold and brass...' - Gabriel Seth, Chapter Master of the Flesh Tearers Chapter ‘We are the Emperor’s avenging angels. We show no mercy. No forgiveness. We have been bred to bring only death. We are terrible to behold and our fury is the stuff of fire-swept legend. Yet-’ Astorath paused, letting his words hang in the air a moment before continuing. ‘There are terrors in the depths of the universe whose might eclipses our own, whose hatred we cannot comprehend. There are foes we must face who will cross the lines of honour and kinship that we cannot afford to break.’ ‘Are you saying we need him?’ Zargo snarled. ‘Yes.’ Astorath’s tone was sudden, hard. ‘The Emperor in His infinite wisdom created many sons, each of differing aspect. If Zargo is our zeal, Malakim our redemption and Sentikan our protector, if you, Lord Dante, are our conscience, then let Seth be our blade. Let the Flesh Tearers be the teeth of that blade.’ Astorath turned to regard Seth. ‘He is a wretched berserker. His actions are ill-considered and rash. But we are in need of such mongrels if we are to triumph.’ For the first time in two days, silence filled the vastness of the chamber. Behind the unreadable visage of his death mask, Dante smiled. Wars, he knew, were won with weapons, not principles. Gabriel Seth was nothing if not a weapon.' - Trial by Blood - The Trial of Gabriel Seth, act IV.
Tbh the red thirst gene flaw should have been give to the night lords instead of blood angels as it fits them more and their style. Night lords act more like vampires then the blood angels do.
Personally, I'm always a little disappointed in Blood Reaver's design. The priests attached to the Guard regiments have mean looking Eviserators. You'd think that Gabe's murder-stick would be the XXL version of those
I forgive you for your heresy against the Blood Angels. I have them in both 30k and 40k. Also, Raven Guard 30k and 40K! I like babyface chapters. Yet, again I also have Deathwatch. Make of that what you will. Dante and Seth are Bros for life!

Pedro my maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! 2:19
I think the Flesh Tearers are failed Blood Angels and signs of the degeneracy of the sons of Sanguinious. They represent the Blood Angels forgetting the teachings of their Sire and returning to the days when they were called the Revenant Legion.
I got in to 40k because of the orks
I feel like his eviserator can go through a power sword
Day 2 of asking for a twin primarch theory video
2:06 I would make the vehement argument that Helbrecht takes that, he used to be the front and center character on the GW site back in like 5th - 7th edition
Mr. Bones, even though you are wrong about the blood angels, and I am right about them, I can't disagree with you either. I think because I have watched too many hours of your content, but that doesn't matter. I just want to let you know the blood angels is the best chapter and the best chapter master is the one and only DANTE, if you disagree you are just wrong and haven't had is awesomeness inside your soul yet.
in these chapters that are so difficult to control, why dont they let it go extinct and make another one?
Quit making sense, you! This is 40k.
Gabriel Seth: The one dude that even Astorath had to admit; "DO NOT FUCK WITH THIS GUY."
Reminds me of Devils from D&D. Fully dedicated to the purpose of Law at any cost, willing to become horrific monstrosities if it means holding back an even more horrific Evil.
Trial By Blood is one of my favourite sets of short stories
Still plan on making that Be’lakor vid? Would love to hear your take on that bastard
Closest we had to gotrek
Is there a video on this "top 10 list" you mentioned?
Everyone stfu new aurther dropped. 🖤
Blood angels r so cool tbh idk why bones don’t like them
My 3rd and 4th edition army of choice. Also being able to rock eight dreadnoughts with the force organisation charts of the day game me a warm fuzzy felling inside. I remember when the toured with the first warhound titian model and I zurg rushed it with three furioso dreads. I mean they died but it was fun.
Great vid
This man is the epitome of "Professionals have standards." quote.
sentor jool facing off against kabandha was legendary
Literally played with Gabriel Seth in a game 2 nights ago lol carried the whole thing, solo'd a Screamer killer. Living beyblade is accurate AF. He gains +1A per every 5 models near him.
This channel has become the perfect middle ground between Arch's massive lore dives and Majorkill's six minute ADHD fueled quickies.
Savage_Hero was my name in DOW
It’d be funny if in some lore a fleshtearer gets captured by world eaters, they give him butchers nails and set him loose, only for the butcher’s nails and black rage / red thirst to cancel eachother out, the marine becomes very calm, stoic, and rational, and he becomes an honorary ultramarine or something.
AVE DOMINUS NOX!
The best Blood Angels Successor chapter
Space Marine cannibal vampires. Tough.
Flesh Tearers have an Eviscerator and that's all I need to know about them.
How about a video of Nykonna Sharrowkyn
GABRIEL... ANGELOS!!!!!
You know, it's wierd to know that Gabriel Seath as a son of Sanguinius is a natural blonde with flowing hair if he does shave
Make a video about the primarchs favourite chocolate milk brand… do it, I want to know what the russ will chose
I worked under a sous chef named who I swear to god, looked and acted JUST like Gabriel Seth, to make it worse his name legit was seth
Did he do food prep with a chainsaw?
@@jimslater8685 wouldn’t put it past him
Flesh tearers - world eaters written with compassion toward chapter, and not malice.
Kharn video when?
Kill team idea unlocked: Chaos Space Marine or Khorne Berserkers as fallen Knights of the Blood.
he has a hope for a good futre
Seths chapters were my favourite in devestation of baal
I have the upmost respect for Gabriel Seth. Second only to Nassir Amit
Other than the Flesh Tearers my favourite BA successor chapter is the Knights of Blood, despite being heretics they still came to Baal's aid in the Devastation of Baal and sacrificed themselves so that the others could regroup!
They were renegades not heretics. Renegades are traitors but they don’t worship chaos and thus, aren’t completely beyond redemption
Ok
Where is our "Top 10 space marines not to fuck with list then?
‘The bonds of Blood transcend all others. But no blood runs stronger than that of Sanguinius’
‘By the Blood am I made… By the Blood am I armoured… By the Blood… I will endure.’ - Gabriel Seth, The Guardian of Rage.
‘The kindness of angels is the sharpness of a sword blade’ - Chapter Master Gabriel Seth
'The Blood Angels. First amongst the sons of Sanguinius, only they were arrogant enough to hide their rage behind masks of gold and brass...' - Gabriel Seth, Chapter Master of the Flesh Tearers Chapter
‘We are the Emperor’s avenging angels. Gabriel Seth was nothing if not a weapon.' - Trial by Blood - The Trial of Gabriel Seth, act IV.
i like him to mr. bones sir
i like your creepy music. it makes me think of BioShock
BUT STILL NO RAINBOW WARRIORS ON CHANNEL. WHY?
Black Templars are my favourite and I couldn’t care less for the Blood Angels but Gabriel Seth and the Flesh Tearers are so cool
Amazing video 👍
I thought it wouldve been great if they had the fewest instances of black rage
Gabriel Seth is pretty good but hold crap do I hate the Flesh tearers lol. Oh actually Appollus is actually really cool too. He goes full Chaplain badass in a small novella called Torturer's Thirst
