I did a video a while back on this workpro screwdriver as well. I absolutely love the thing. Liked it so much that I often buy them as gifts for friends. Good video, bud.
The workpro is a great screwdriver and its become my go to over the years but mines also had the same issue with the ratcheting mechanism separating from the handle after falling about 12 feet off a ladder I'm glad i found this vid because at first i thought there may have been a locking ring or something missing but it seems the factory press fit may have been calibrated wrong because its too loose to be reinserted securely. ..but that being said i'm still using it more than all my other drivers. Might try some epoxy or just wait till the handle slips out while im working at height and beans a coworker on the dome
I don’t know where you were getting your pricing for the Milwaukee, but it’s $16.97 at Home Depot. That aside, I agree that unless weight is your main concern, the Workpro, Kobalt, or Husky versions are better options. Even the “impact rated bits” are a non-issue IMO. I use an impact driver more than any other tool, but if impact interchangeable bits are a concern for me, I’m adding my own selection of bits, not the ones Milwaukee thought would be most common. I got the Husky version as a gift, and it’s a solid product. Had I purchased one myself, I would have gone with the Kobalt (appears to be identical to the Workpro). Weight was the only reason I was considering the Milwaukee (and I’m a Milwaukee fan), but it just wasn’t enough IMO.
That WorkPro is pretty fine...toothed. I'm not a real big fan of ratcheting screwdrivers. I have a few and my favorite is the gearless stubby from Armstrong that you can basically only find on Cripedistributing.com because Apex killed Armstrong (and Allen), and a host of others. I'm hoping Milwaukee is stepping up their hand tool game here pretty soon or it'll be tough for them to overcome some of the crap hand tools they've put out over the years. Their wrenches and socket sets have been golden. Now they need that same quality to spread to their pliers and screwdrivers. Epoxy that handle back on and you'll never have to worry about it again. Super glue will fail over time. Epoxy is forever...

I’m glad you got to review the workpro! And the bits might not be impact rated but they are drill rated 😂. Workpro for the win!!!
Both are good (to me) also husky (from home depot) has the workpro version and it works great.
That's an awesome screwdriver! Nice review

Yeah I heard the husky is the same. I just did a very quick Amazon search I couldn't remember what I paid for it.
I wonder if you can improve the back drag the same way you can on a ratchet, by removing the old crappy factory grease and putting in Super lube ?
Nice review on them thanks for sharing.
Great vid as always!
Thanks dude!
@@toolsandtrash6911 no problem Bromigo!
