  • After sitting in storage for about 30 years, Charlotte's schwinn needs a complete overhaul. I take my time and show you the complete build.

    Just a tip, the decal on the chain guard is very sensitive, don’t scrub on it cause it will come off. Lightly clean it and then clear coat the chain guard to preserve the decal

      Gracias por las amables palabras. Me encanta revivir cosas viejas y hacerlas utilizables nuevamente.

    Just a FYI, if your going to be replacing the chain anyway, bolt cutters is alot faster way of taking the chain off.

      Thank you. After I retired, my wife talked me into filming all my projects. Now I wish I had filmed all my collector bikes I've since sold.

      @@bradcousins-qj3ge I just finished a late 1980's polished aluminum mountain bike and I'm currently working on a 1982 Schwinn World Traveler 10 Speed. There is always a project in progress at my house.

    Its a nobel gester but way to heavy to be useful

    • @NewLifeforOldBikes
      @NewLifeforOldBikes  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is very heavy, but it sure was a fun ride. If it were mine, I would use it for group rides. The owner is planning on setting it up as a stationary bike.

      An old Schwinn like that makes a great campus bike. The step through frame makes it easy for a woman to ride it with a skirt or dress.

      @@galootlovestoolsThat's exactly what this was originally used for.

    I can't believe you ruined that poor girls chain guard, and didn't even mention it. Should've had a little, "what not to do" segment, bud.

      When finished ,she was really happy with her bike and understood the logo had dried out. We discussed replacing it, but she decided to leave it alone.
