Great video. Picked up how you wrap the line around the clip, better than the way I used before. Tried it yesterday worked great.

Nice tips and nicely explained jamie on the line clip scenarios, you'd be amazed how many are reluctant yo use them in fear off being broke .Makes you wonderhow we used to fish without them especially when bream fishing was king ,cos I'm sure the Mitchell's Match,440 and 300 didn't have them on as well as ball bearings .I once had a 300 seize up on a festival in Ireland on the shannon, but when the Mitchells were made there wasn't any feeders about in those days it was all arsley bombs and trying to throw balls of grounbait over halfway across the witham and welland until the whopper droppers were invented!!

Nice one Jamie, basics are not just for beginner's but for all as reviewing the basics against what your doing on the bank could pick up an area where your being lazy without realising it !

Great enthusiasm again Jamie 👏. Your vids are always interesting for beginners or like me still trying to get the better understanding of process . One thing on another vid. Could you advise best way to get accurate with under arm cast, this I struggle at shorter distances where this type cast is required 👍

Great Video as usual Jamie; Still not quite sure what the “feathering” action on casting is for or the finer points of what we are trying to achieve with it ??

Thanks mate, it just makes the feeder go in more discreet and makes sure that the rig straightens out to stop tangles :)

Hi Jamie. Great vid pal. I am really struggling with casting short distances. 3-15 metres. I can never ‘feather’ it in and hit the line clip. It always seems to hit it and bounce back and crash in. Any tips?

Hi Jamie, just a quick question if you don't mind: do you ever use a feeder link and if so, when? I know you've got some in your seat but up to date I cannot find reliable info of when we should use those and when they are pointless?
    Thanks in advance 🪱 #FishingBasics

No I don't use them most of the time mate but they can help for faster biting fish like roach mate

Could you do a video breaking down your kit with price for beginners.
I looked for you on on twitter but you aren't there thats how I was going to ask

I think that it takes too much time to catch several carp in a row to use the distance sticks. I think the trick with the Tippex is great and I will test it next time. Thanks👍and keep it up!

I couldn't make out in the video if you clipped up with the line going in the direction it is spooled onto the reel or against the direction it is spooled onto the reel, which is correct or do you prefer?

    • @andyjames7164
      @andyjames7164 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I always do mine in the direction it’s spooled on...it seems the natural way to do it, rightly or wrongly.

hi if you don't mind me asking can you send me a link to a good feeder rig maybe like an ellicott to sort of feeder rig so it doesn't tangle long-distance helicopter feeder rig but not using the twizzle boom plz ?

Hey, I’m American and very new to feeder fishing. I know this could be a silly question, but why does it matter to cast at the same spot over and over?
I mean if a cast in larger area, wouldn’t more fish be in the general area. Or do you want them to go to a specific point?

    • @eugenebatiste
