I've known so many people that all they would do is complain or vent and it's just so unpleasant to be around them. I think that people who complain but do nothing in order to improve their situation are one of the most annoying type of people out there. I'm not saying that venting to your friends is bad, it can help if you just let some things out and reaching out when you are at your lowest is very very important and your friends are there to listen to you and support you, but if you are overwhelming someone with your complaining like "blah blah i woke up and i feel terrible I dont wanna live I am boring and unlikable no one likes me I went to school and almost fell asleep because this teacher does the holy yapping of yappingtons and i will drop out because my grades are ass" and someone is trying to talk to you and help you and you just ignore them and keep ranting you are a bad person. Absolutely wel spoken! It's one thing to vent and another to vent about stuff you are in control of changing. Sadly, some people make it their entire personality to play victim. I've dated such a person in the past and it was emotionally and mentally exhausting to keep up soothing their victimhood complex. Just thinking back about it feels exhausting. In the end, nothing changed. She remained complaining about everything and everyone and I lost time and energy. With my current relationship, I made it very clear to my girlfriend that I am not going to put up with such behavior. So from the very beginning, I've set a boundary. When we both complain about something, we immediately resort to thinking in solutions right after. We're entering our 5 year anniversary and I couldn't feel more refreshed. The peace you get from living a life not complaining is indescribable.

Ironically I feel this. I'm getting sick of hearing my guardians complaining everytime he gets home from work, "Woe is me", "its so hot", "this is the thanks I get for doing XYZ". The nonstop yelling at every little thing and everyone else in the house. Im tired of it. I get it, its hard working outside all day in the heat in something no one wants to do, but he picked the line of work to it. So, why complain about it? Idk its just what you said why be so miserable all the time. Just calm down and cool off its over now.
This is incredibly relatable. It's not good to hear your parents/guardians complain about every little thing as a kid. It makes the world seem unnecessarily tough.
See, my sleep schedule is awful and it seems to come up a lot when my roommates see me get up at a random time, or see me in the middle of the night, and I always feel bad because I feel like I'm just complaining about it all the time
@@DodgeThatAttack you have the right to complain man, it's okay. It's in our nature after all (I do it a lot too). I might be nerding out on this too much but I think it is beautiful because it allows for change to take place. It shows us we're human.
The irony is that the people who have very serious problems tend to be a lot more humble and stoic than the kind of people who complain about minor things (which are usually their own fault anyway). Some people can lose a family member and pretend that everything is fine, while others don't shut up about how they didn't get enough sleep even though they made a conscious decision to scroll through TikTok until 3am.
My complaint: other people's political opinions. Specifically my family's opinion. Right winged, very racial, sexist, sometimes religious, discriminative opinions. These don't HAVE to affect me, since they talk shit about other people (such as immigrants or people with a darker skin tone in general, and I'm the whitest girl imaginable) but still I get so frustrated with them. I just can't understand where they're coming from, it just sounds like they're hating on people so they can put themselves on a pedestal. Why would anyone be so racist, and just assume something based on a meaningless factor such as skin color?
The thing i love the most about ur channel is that the gameplay isnt pre recorded and youre actually talking whilst playing again it makes it feel so much more real
As a german where complaining is sort of a national sport, i disagree. Most of the time we complain about things, that are out of our control but bother us enough to yearn for a change. People don`t complain for satisfaction or hearing others agree, but out of hope, that the complain gets heard and something gets better. As slim as the chances are. And the more important the problem is to us, the more we complain about it, even if it is very unlikely to change. Complaining is the result of desparation for a change.
People most definitely do complain for satisfaction and hearing others agree, I am one of those people. In fact everyone at some point in their lives has done that. As far as complaining as a result of desparation for change, that achieves nothing. If really you want change, you have to get up and take action in order for that change to happen. You can't just say things and hope that they will happen, you have to actually take action
@@nikoyaps This video is an example of complaining that could make change. I do see that it's not just that though, this isn't just complaining. You have a genuine point, are offering advice, encouraging others to be more positive, and sharing a very real perspective. Pure complaint in hope for change is probably mostly useless, but in cases like this it can help stress a larger point, and that might not be useless.
@@nikoyaps i do agree, that there are cases, where people complain for attention or agreement. But the things people complain the most about, the things people are the most persistant in terms of complaining, are things that are out of their hand. Housing, Inflation, Taxes, Laws, beeing poor, beeing sick, climate change, polution. Sure you can vote or demonstrate. People do that. But they also complain, and since we dont live in paradise, there will always be something to complain. Therefore we as a society should strive to focus on the important problems, to solve those first, before we complain about minor things. As an individual tho, you might not always think on a large scale, so your feet hurting from the hike the day before may be the thing that bothers you the most in that moment. Complaining isn't the problem, it's an important tool of us humans to strive for better conditions and not get tossed around by higher powers of any sort. Someone who complains about things they can change themselves easily is of course annoying, but that was not your statement. Edit: In fact demonstatrions, are nothing but complaining about something and are an Essential part of a working democracy. So denying the Usefulness of complaining just makes one look foolish. Without complaining we wouldn't have gotten the french Revolution, the end of slavery, the fall of the berlin wall, or any sort of change which balanced the lifes of the general public...
I think this happens because people perceive their own lives as boring and feel the need to say something to stay interesting. Just so happens that complaints like this are the easiest.
Not gonna lie ever since I stopped complaining about things except when it's really necessary, I started to not find any things that I could complain about, even when I find some, those are mostly out of my control.
I had a friend in high school I had to stop being friends with because of a deer. He hit a deer while driving. Cool story the first time you hear it. Not so cool when it's the only thing you talk about for the rest of the school year.

Your channel is now my bonfire, my checkpoint. Niko you gave me a slap on my face with this one, but this is not a complaint! Im the kind of person that says "I like to complain. It is free, so I will complain" but with this video you gave me a good insight. Of course I don't complain everytime, is more of a joke, but I silently complain with myself all day long and it drains me. Thanks for always helping us poor mortals, my friend Niko! be safe
My minor complaint is spending too much time on social media, knowing the negative effects it has on people, and yet continuing to spend the same amount of time on it instead of reducing it even a little.
I have one: I’m currently extremely late for a group project made for groups of 4 where I was forcefully made to work solo with the same expected amount of work as a group of 4. It’s a damn 30 page write up.
my complaint is about a situation that happened yesterday. when one of my friends started to vent(ig you can call it vent?) to me about how he's talking to this one girl, but she doesn't want to be into a relationship bc she's still not over her ex, but my friend is SOOO in love with her that can't find another and doesn't know how to move on...I told him that "dude, you can't do anything about this. if she doesn't want to be in a relationship, BUT you're looking into a relationship. then you have to let go. If you told her that you like her, but she said she's not ready then just stay friends ig. MAYBE one day she'll actually grow out from her previous relationship and start looking for a boyfriend herself." but he had many excuses like "oh but she's pretty, and her character is so cool, it's all his ex fault (THAT SHE STILL HAVE CONNTACT WITH BTW) and I can't move on even if I wanted to. And I wouldn't give a fuck about this if it wasn't for those things"....okey??? 😭 what do you want me to do? It's YOU problem. SHE has a problem that you won't solve it. What the fuck even I supposed to say to this??? I have zero clue about relationships since I never been into one. I think the worst things was that he started talking about this at midnight. WHEN I'M TRYING TO SLEEP AT THIS HOUR (I actually feel better after writing this here, knowing people wouldn't even care)
My complaint: I'm late to commenting on the video lol. Nah, though, I'd probably say when I do complain, it'd be about me not being good at something that I feel like I should be good at. But that's only really me complaining to myself. I don't complain to others too often
I don't really tell people my problems either, mostly because they can use those problems and use deductive reasoning to figure out your weaknesses and use them against you.
If someone with psychiatric diagnosis sees this video - your diagnosis is enough of a reason to complain to your close ones and you should complain! That's obligatory for you to tell about your problems to at least someone who will understand you, no matter how big these problems are
When I wasn’t doing too well health wise and mentally and my mother told me to not tell her anything anymore because she’s “not a paid professional” and then my so called “friends” never questioned why I couldn’t hang out and why I’m always at the doctors nor did they ever invite me when I stopped texting in the group chat, that’s when I truly realized that nobody gives a f***. Not even your own blood. But what makes it even better is that people expect you to give a f*** about them and ONLY when it pertains to them. Yet when it pertains to YOU, they’re nowhere to be found. I do agree with though that constantly talking about your problems runs people out of your life and I feel like I’m understanding that with my ex now, although she was a toxic and really really crappy individual. I wasn’t doing so well and would vent and then she left and said I was “toxic.” Toxic cuz I could barely leave the house and so on, I won’t go in deep about that stuff. Honestly, you’ll find out who’s really for you when you can share your problems, and they share theirs, and nobody judges, tells you to stop, or shrugs you off. But yeah Niko, nobody really cares.
My complaint: how do people talk fr. Like if i join mid conversation im perfectly fine n can get a few laughs from others. Starting a conversation though im like channing tatum “so…do you…like… cheese?”
honestly the most effective way to start a conversation I learned is to make just an observation and maybe turn it into a question, that's for complete strangers. nothing wrong with talking about the weather. or just ask them how their day was or if they did anything. and if you know anything about them ask them about it. "hows your wife/kid/back pain/car repairs/piano lessons"
at first i thought this was an ass take but then i realised you're talking about ranting in vain for minor stuff and it's actually a pretty good thing to talk about. i'd say in almost all cases being apathetic about everything is a sign of a bigger underlying issue. i try my best not to do this, i really want to be the kind of person that radiates positivity
there are parking spaces around a road which connects to a pathwalk for some reason. and the cars often park right in front of the sidewalk, so i have to go around. it's a stupid thing, but it always annoys me so much for some reason when i have to go around
my complaint: im a semi pro kick boxer and when i cut weight for my fights i complain to my coach and girlfriend saying i’m hungry. when they cannot literally do anything about it
When it comes to life you never run out of complaints, which is why I don't understand why negativity seems to still be so constant, in my line of work all the other people working there are pretty happy and positive about things, we'll complain about something minor because it's easy to start a conversation with a sentiment you both share. It seems like in other lines of work, perhaps more pleasant working conditions, people do seem more miserable, curious isn't it? Think maybe having such good conditions just spoils you? To the point that it's easier to complain then to be happy? There's many reasons why I'm working at this job for now, though one day it will change, my experiences with these types of jobs will forever stay with me, if I ever get a higher position I don't think I'll ever take it for granted.
Great video! Recently subscribed but I'm really liking the content. Hope you are well and I wish you more growth for your channel! Useless complaint you mentioned talking about: One of my biggest useless complains was that I was sucking HARD at Skywars when I used to be relatively okay at it. I was doing really really bad in a call with some friends and I was just going on over and over and over... It sucked and I sucked. Now, looking back to it, I did manage to solve this quickly: I was annoying to my friends in the call because I kept complaining that I've become bad when they were doing great and they barely played, if ever at all. They noticed, of course, and they were like "dude c'mon, chill a bit". I, somehow, did chill out. I found out I was playing better when I stopped caring about winning or losing - sure, I didn't win once, but I felt better by shutting up and looking at my phone while my friends took 8 minutes to finish the whole game. Sure, it was annoying to get tapped in 30 seconds when they were winning most of the time, but I was feeling way better and actually managed to get some kills. They also had a great time going against each other and I managed to end up at the final confrontation with one of them. I lost but I had a blast. It was a great night amidst my college opportunity going down the drain, not able to have motivation for anything, hating every single thing I've made here and everywhere, scared of my future due to not doing anything at all- hell, even to an extent having really bad thoughts and thinking of ending it all... Complaining didn't help me with those. It never will. I'm glad I was able to save myself from ruining that night, even if it was such a stupid thing to do. I am having internet issues and my complain would be there too, but honestly this is a good time to fix my sleep schedule. Complaining is not gonna make me sleep. College is not gonna fix itself. My friends will not "re-friend" themselves (although you never know, they might want to talk too). I'm not gonna fix myself complaining. I hate my slow Wi-Fi. But I hate more how it affects me so much. I know I can fix one of those. You can fix yourself too, you got this.
my boots are falling apart. original sole have a holes in the middle, and ripped off new ones just scoop all of the liquid dirt inside of the holes, leaving it there. it is the rain season in my place, and each day before my work on a fields i need to wear a few layers of plastic bags under my shoe to keep my feet dry and clean. also it dispense the dirt outside, so i cannot go to the nice places after work without covering all of the floor with dirt, no matter how clean i wipe it. it is not a something, but i just hate my feet being wet.
My complaint is actually so stupid: so, i dont get enough sleep, and this is because im up late at night on my phone, and in the morning before school i dont have enough time to go to the bathroom because i keep sleeping for more than what i can sleep for if that makes sense, i gotta wake up at 6 because my bus i take for school leaves at 6:46, and yet i cant wake up in time and i cant go to the bathroom in the morning because of me not waking up.. and in school i keep complaining that im tired and that i want to go to the bathroom but the school bathrooms are horrible
here is my stupid complaint that I want help in: I have a hard time talking with others not because I sacred or any of that type stuff, it is because people just have a habit of responding no more than ONE WORD, it like I ask and they respond: how are you? good. how was your day? good. what are going to do today? idk. what are your hobbies? idk. what do you do when your are bored? idk. where do you like to hangout? idk. what are things that annoy you? idk. like bruh, most people just forgot how to socialize. its like I know they have answers but they just don't want to say it. like when I say like: oh, well when I am bored I play minecraft. and they say: me too. and I respond: then why didn't you answer with that when I asked you about it. and they say: idk. like, what do I do? the only thing that makes people hardly care or listen or respond more than one word, is if I actually have a problem in my life that I want help in. so please help.
11:19 Heres my complaint: I lost 3D animation project and the file got corrupted, whats the outcome? yeah it was time consuming but at least I put 6 hours of disciple in my art work. and that's what matters start over and plan and do it again.
I've found the complaining about very minor inconveniences stops me from doing things I want to do. For example: I think it would be cool to stream x game but I always find myself psyching myself out of it: Well this game isn't that popular, it's gonna be a pain to setup, I don't have enough time in the day blah blah when really I should just but the bullet and get started and I'd probably have a great time.
I needed to hear this. I've been complaining about SomeOrdinaryGamers newest video, where he said Windows Xp is obsolete, and I still like it and use it sometimes. No one wants to hear my complain about it, though.

@@andnowyouknow3363 I am so happy for you! I am glad you found the right person for you!! I wish you the best and I hope you guys will have a wonderful anniversary!! People who play victim are very exhausting and I'm glad you moved on!! Take care :3
a tutorial to not be unlikeable .. correct?..
Just calm down and cool off its over now.
ironic, complaining about complaints lol
This is incredibly relatable. It's not good to hear your parents/guardians complain about every little thing as a kid. It makes the world seem unnecessarily tough.
My minor complaint is that even though i get good sleep but i feel so tired all the time.
Sameeee 🎉
do you exercise enough?
See, my sleep schedule is awful and it seems to come up a lot when my roommates see me get up at a random time, or see me in the middle of the night, and I always feel bad because I feel like I'm just complaining about it all the time
@@tem8122 I have started exercising 3 times a day and school has started for me again. I do take melatonin so I think it may be that.
You know what I didn't think of it like that. I think that's probably why I made this video subconciously. Great observation!
My complaint: I am not allowed to have my gaming setup in my room, so it is just in one of the corners of my basement that everyone seems to use.
i love complaining about complaining then we complain about complainers complaining about complainers
My complaint: mentality of the people in my country suck.
Now, it is time to move on from this thought I guess. Thank you for this video.
My complaint: I can't see my forehead
To grow is to go through your own problems alone, otherwise you're stuck forever. You're completely right Niko.
I think this happens because people perceive their own lives as boring and feel the need to say something to stay interesting. Just so happens that complaints like this are the easiest.
My complaint is that i hate when people reply to me with K.
Not gonna lie ever since I stopped complaining about things except when it's really necessary, I started to not find any things that I could complain about, even when I find some, those are mostly out of my control.
complaining about complaining is wild

This is definitely true. I work in a cell phone store and all the time I have people just tell me their life story. Its crazy
i constantly get angry at my bad internet provider, stress from school and my bad teacher
Always a good day when niko uploads
WHEN I'M TRYING TO SLEEP AT THIS HOUR
(I actually feel better after writing this here, knowing people wouldn't even care)
My complaint: I'm late to commenting on the video lol. Nah, though, I'd probably say when I do complain, it'd be about me not being good at something that I feel like I should be good at. But that's only really me complaining to myself. I don't complain to others too often
Surrounding yourself with ppl who are “always tired,” “always stressed” and won’t fix the things they complain about is terrible
My minor complaint: I hate me, for caring too much for others and expecting the same treatment from them
Yea seriously. Even if you think “they only care when you’re dead” they don’t even care then. They just have to bury you.
I don't really tell people my problems either, mostly because they can use those problems and use deductive reasoning to figure out your weaknesses and use them against you.
If someone with psychiatric diagnosis sees this video - your diagnosis is enough of a reason to complain to your close ones and you should complain! That's obligatory for you to tell about your problems to at least someone who will understand you, no matter how big these problems are
im so cooked i cant understand this comment but it feels like it's fucking dead wrong 💀💀 wtf do you mean LMAO
But yeah Niko, nobody really cares.
my complaint: i can't bridge in Java Vanilla
I don't like glitter. It's difficult to clean, gets everywhere, and you find it anywhere from months to years later.
My complaint is that I don’t like getting up in the morning at 5:30 to run. But I do it anyway because I want to be a better runner.
niko i watch your videos while i get up early for school thank you man
I watch before I go to work so I can survive the concrete jungle one more day 😂
at first i thought this was an ass take but then i realised you're talking about ranting in vain for minor stuff and it's actually a pretty good thing to talk about. i'd say in almost all cases being apathetic about everything is a sign of a bigger underlying issue. i try my best not to do this, i really want to be the kind of person that radiates positivity
Complaints is also smth to relate to other people with imo. I guess one-sided annoying some1 is poo but it can be fun too
my little complaint is that the back of my head gets so hot while im trying to sleep and it gets super annoying
there are parking spaces around a road which connects to a pathwalk for some reason. and the cars often park right in front of the sidewalk, so i have to go around. it's a stupid thing, but it always annoys me so much for some reason when i have to go around
my complaint: im a semi pro kick boxer and when i cut weight for my fights i complain to my coach and girlfriend saying i’m hungry. when they cannot literally do anything about it
people think I'm annoying from talking about random and small things all the time, and I hate it but I haven't tried to change it much
uhm actually there is an unspoken agreement where you allow me to complain to feel better and I allow you to complain to feel better
☝️🤓
Useless complaint you mentioned talking about:
One of my biggest useless complains was that I was sucking HARD at Skywars when I used to be relatively okay at it.

I complain pretty much everyday about waking up early for work.
my boots are falling apart. original sole have a holes in the middle, and ripped off new ones just scoop all of the liquid dirt inside of the holes, leaving it there. it is the rain season in my place, and each day before my work on a fields i need to wear a few layers of plastic bags under my shoe to keep my feet dry and clean. also it dispense the dirt outside, so i cannot go to the nice places after work without covering all of the floor with dirt, no matter how clean i wipe it. it is not a something, but i just hate my feet being wet.

my complaint is just that im too lazy to consistently go to the gym

My complaint is actually so stupid: so, i dont get enough sleep, and this is because im up late at night on my phone, and in the morning before school i dont have enough time to go to the bathroom because i keep sleeping for more than what i can sleep for if that makes sense, i gotta wake up at 6 because my bus i take for school leaves at 6:46, and yet i cant wake up in time and i cant go to the bathroom in the morning because of me not waking up.. and in school i keep complaining that im tired and that i want to go to the bathroom but the school bathrooms are horrible
I have to sit on the bus for three hours everyday, because I can’t afford a vehicle.
I need that skill of talking in a game
my complaint: it's been really hot lately and i've been losing sleep because of it
depends. I live in a country where complaining is the most basic and socially acceptable form of small talk lmao
it emberrases me to eat ice cones, why do they give em shapes like that??
here is my stupid complaint that I want help in: I have a hard time talking with others not because I sacred or any of that type stuff, it is because people just have a habit of responding no more than ONE WORD, it like I ask and they respond:
how are you? good. how was your day? good. what are going to do today? idk. what are your hobbies? idk. what do you do when your are bored? idk. where do you like to hangout? idk. what are things that annoy you? idk.
like bruh, most people just forgot how to socialize. its like I know they have answers but they just don't want to say it. like when I say like: oh, well when I am bored I play minecraft. and they say: me too. and I respond: then why didn't you answer with that when I asked you about it. and they say: idk.
like, what do I do? the only thing that makes people hardly care or listen or respond more than one word, is if I actually have a problem in my life that I want help in. so please help.
