It always amazes me that many yard sale sellers like to pull out the ebay print list on what they think their items are worth; they don't clean or wash their items, they don't pay ebay fees, use their own packing supplies or drive their asses to the post office and deliver their $$ items. Do they not get this? More goes into the ebay item other than just throwing it down on the ground and asking ebay prices...
The blanket like woven piece is an early 1880's American overshot coverlet. Depending on size, condition, pattern.. minimum 150 up. The area you are in is a great spot for them. Now you know.
Don’t feel to bad about breaking that jar, it happens to all of us. I once came out of the Goodwill and one bag slipped out of my hand and broke the head off of a Lefton figurine. I bought it because it reminded me of my mom (it is an old lady reading to her grandkids) comps were pretty good at the time so I picked it up to resell. But her head broke off. I glued it back on and it looks pretty good. So now I just display it in my curio cabinet. I think it was meant for me to keep it. Lol. My mom just turned 100 last month! ❤
Stop reusing those plastic bags by the handle if you have glass items, they lose there integrity or strength over use and time, reusable canvas bags would be so much better for the glass ware
That cast iron wall sconce you picked up and put back is from the Victorian age. It is for an oil lamp. Depending on price, it has a good resale value.
girl, you are awesome! It amazes me how fast you can look through and pick the BEST stuff!! You might need a crossbody bag to free up your hands though.😉
Fantastic find on the railroad lantern! You hit pay dirt on that one! ( : Sooo many fun Halloween items at that one sale too! Darn it all the one glass jar broke! Ugh! ) : I hate that! ) : Rotten plastic bag! ) : Thankfully one lived! ( : I prayed the jar wasn't worth too much 🤞🤞🤞 Great hauls, as usual! Love your Thursday videos! Was sooo happy to get double you with Matt earlier today and then you again today! Yayyyyyyy! Have a great weekend and rest of your week! ( :
That is too bad the jar broke. Maybe you can carry those big IKEA type bags with you to go picking. Makes carrying a lot better and more secure. Love watching your videos.
In my country grocery bags are like those IKEA bags made of sturdy plastic. They are for sale in every grocery store and everyone's to go bag for everything. They never brake, we all reuse them, share them when we have too many. No thin plastic bags to be found.
@@Lily_and_Riverhow awesome! Here in the US that’s all you see is those awful plastic grocery bags, for the most part. Trader Joe’s plastic bags are not flimsy but I like to use my reusable to cut down on waste. Great picks Kayla!
You picked up some good stuff 😄 Re the jar, I always think 'It cost whatever cents' so I have only whatever 25 cents, you'll still get $30+ plus shipping = say $1 into $25 ish after fees - that is still a good ROI. Stay well 😁🦘🦘🦘
Kayla, I really like the lantern you bought. Thanks for sharing your videos with us. Always look forward to you and Matt exploring yard sales. Donnie- W.V.
Hi Kayla! I have within the past week become a huge fan of yours! Your authentic and genuine personality is contagious and I appreciate the integrity that you display on your videos. I am a teacher beginning my 34th year so I have a lot of time when I am working on an activity in the morning to watch you on TH-cam. My two sisters and my 6 nieces and nephews have gotten into a fun habit of spending weekends visiting yard, neighborhood, and church sales. I give the kids little envelopes with 5 $1 bills and they love hunting for treasures and learning how to manage money at the same time. Somehow I usually end of spending a lot more each time but, I wouldn’t trade these memories for all the money in the world. My son is almost 29 so I cherish the chance to spend time with the little ones in our family. God bless you and your beautiful daughters. I am praying for your trials that you are going through. You are strong and independent and “Let go and Let God” and you will be just fine❤ One question….I am 57 and technically challenged. How do I find your merchandise on eBay? I have looked and searched your TH-cam name and can’t seem to find you. I would love to go “shopping” because I admire and adore your taste. I will also look up Matt’s channel after this. He seems like an incredible friend and I hope he is a support to you during this journey you are on right now. Take care and keep your head up. This too shall pass and list your blessings every day🥰🥰🥰
I own a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Van. I push a button and the back comes up. I push a button and the side doors slide open. I put the second set of seats behind the driver's side down into the van floor so it lays perfectly flat and you wouldn't even know there are seats down there. It's painful to watch you open the doors with your arms constantly full when it would be so much easier for you to push a button. FYI. All 2014 and other dates have Charger engines in them for you cause you drive fast, like me.
Hi Kayla I was so happy to see a new video today ☺️ I been watching your older videos. I am new to your channel and I love watching you go picking up things at yard sales. I have always loved yard sales my self but do to healthy reasons I don't go out much now days. Thank for sharing your videos. Blessings from your new viewer Joyce ❤
I enjoy your videos. They are very informative to me as I don't know the value of things. I also appreciate your kind respectful interactions with the persons holding the yard sale and other customers. You handled the broken jar with such grace.
I know it's kind of inconvenient but if you carry some bubble wrap, you can tuck it between glass pieces. I break things, so I have forced myself to carry bubble wrap to cushion my glass things. Like Crazy Lamp Lady always says, you pay to learn...lol. Love your vids. Wish there were more and a bit longer...
You need to carry with you a large durable bag to shop with that will not break when you find your fines. Also put some empty boxes in your car to put things breakable. I love to yard sale and believe me I have broke things before I get to the car too. I just got back from Bowling Green Ky and hit many sales. What part of Kentucky do you live, if I can ask that question. I really enjoy the videos you do. You are very good at what you do. Have fun.
Kayla- on the purse the coach bag with pen - HAIR SPRAY gets out ink on clothing or purses…JUST AN FYI…I love you guys !!! Youre great … Im a re seller as well…from , Karen in Massachusetts 😊
After I retired I worked at a huge thrift store part time. I had great removing ink stains from vinyl, leather and cloth with hand sanitizer. Coconut oil will buff up many plastics so they look like new. Hand sanitizer gel is an awesome cleaner. I'd always test it on an interior or inconspicuous spot on leather before using it.
The knowledge one must possess to do this for a living is interesting as heck to me. It also seems fun yet addictive which kinda spooks me from wanting to try it though. The filming in these videos is impressive and it doesn't hurt that she's got some southern charm.
I almost died when you put that lantern on top of the MK bag at the first sale, when you made a pile on the chair! It seemed like it would be greasy & dirty. I guess it faired ok. Phew!😊
They can ask whatever they want, but you can also pay what you think it’s worth. Someone could be asking $50 for something but if you only want to pay $20 , then that’s all you’ll pay and people need to realize , just because they’re asking a certain price and it’s a sold price from EBay solds , it still doesn’t mean you’ll pay that for it .
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t take your own bags. All of the resellers I watch don’t either. Should be a staple in your cars at all times. Just makes sense
Love you Kayla. Love your videos, the way you shop, the things you choose, the way you're so successful doing things your way. In the words of Billy Joel, "I love you just the way you are."
The railroad lantern is my fave of the day!! You are so kind with your words of appreciation toward each seller. Love your vids. I’m sad I’m all caught up with older ones!!
What is the brand of wallet do you have? I love the size, it's really held up well for years now. It's got a strong zipper. I just love the quality it is.
N&W Railroad Lantern, Michael Kors Purse, Cannisters, Patagonia Jacket, Sphero Star Wars Radio Control Toy, Monster Plush, Bratz Dolls Clothes and Accessories, 4 Frankenstein Chair Covers, Laural Burch Dog and Doggies Small Tote. Thanks Kayla for the video. Hope you and your family are doing well. Don't listen to the haters and trolls. Take Care. Out
I'm so sorry that I'm just getting around to looking at this video. I'm probably too late with my old lady household tips, but here they are: dawn removes ink from almost every surface that it is applied to. Also, almost all glue residue (like left from a price sticker) is removable with the right solvent and there are four main ones: water, oil, alcohol and acetone. I try the less scary ones first. Could try vinegar or dawn on a moist rag as well. Sometime those just work for whatever reason! Good luck. 😂
The railroad lantern is great, we have one!. The black cast iron scroll arm thing you held up right by the lantern is a oil lamp holder that it’s in a bracket attached to the wall. I used them for candle, they are great!
Goo gone will remove any type of adhesive residue and it sells for $1 on the dollar aisle at Dollar General for the small bottle. Even a small bottle will last a very long time bc it only takes a couple of drops. Another way to get sticky tag residue is good ole fashion PEANUT BUTTER then it just wipes right if y'all...hope this helps make you more money honey!!!!😊🤗🤑
Hi there. Thanks for all the time that you put into making your videos. It's so fun to go shopping with you. We have only a fraction of the garage sales that we used to have pre-Covid. I miss them. I have to make it up with family run estate sales, and those might only be one or two a week.
Aw man, I know the feeling! I purchased a vintage smoky flower glass lamp for $5 bucks worth $100 and loaded it in the car and smashed the shade! I was heartbroken.
I enjoy your videos so much, you're so knowledgeable & smart & full of life. But I've been dying to ask, & this video seems like the right time, why don't you carry at least a shopping bag with some bubble wrap as you shop, and bins w/ bubble wrap in your car? I notice with Matt there are bins in the back, I assume to separate your stuff from his, but it seems like having maybe a soft quilted bag that rolls up would make your shopping quicker & easier. And if I walked around holding that little purse & my keys attached, I'd lay it down & lose it about 40 times a day, same way I spend 1/2 my life looking fo my gardening gloves, LOL! You are such fun!
‼️‼️‼️Take sticker residue off with one part bicarbonate of soda to one part of cooking oil. If it’s really hard to move repeat the treatment. Works every time, and it’s the only thing I’ve found that really works.🥰
I've successfully used regular rubbing alcohol to remove ink marks on leather, plastic, etc. Always try it on a hidden spot first, to be sure the leather dye and finish is stable. Maybe you can list the pink Michael Kors bag for more if it works. Good luck!
Do you have one of those thirty-one totes with the metal frames? those are so handy and would have saved your sweet little pumpkin jar. I've actually found 3 of those said bags at garage sales. Love them!
Just subscribed yesterday, really enjoying the way you go about things. The gopro is a great idea to free up your hands. I am in New Zealand, so my market is small and young in comparison. Keep up the the good work sis! 👏
ebay sale.... It was a bust! I would not of bought anything from them... I used to have the entire set of loony tune cups I still see them off and on at the kids and grand kids and great grands houses.... Still look new! (Don't tell anyone I am old lol) Awes I cried for the fsatality ... heartbreaking I am sorry this happened Made it to the end 😉 Sending love and prayers and hugs
Try hair spray, like the old style Aquanet, to remove ink. Rubbing Alcohol takes sticker residue right off. Just put on a cotton ball and rub a little and it should come right off.
Saw that blanket, too!
I sold one of those last year for $140 same pattern! Always pick those up!
Think you got a really cool item with that Patagonia top Kayla. Beautiful, quality items. Shame about the glass jar! Still, never mind....
On glass, sticker residue easily removes with clear, nail polish remover, or alcohol. That's a $10.00 tip there.
Oh the coverlet was awesome!!
Don’t feel to bad about breaking that jar, it happens to all of us. I once came out of the Goodwill and one bag slipped out of my hand and broke the head off of a Lefton figurine. May God bless your mom more🙂👍

Always take your own reliable bags. ❤😂
The lantern is a railroad lantern! Great find! PS…Matt sent me 😂
Are you listing the railroad lantern?
Yes railroad lanterns are a great find especially at that price.
Rubbing alcohol will remove any pen mark or stein.without doing damage to your itiems.
Kayla. Thank you for taking me on your ride. You have no idea how much you have given me ❤
Kayla I think you should get a Fannie pak game changer
That was so sad!! Those Halloween jars are adorable!
That cast iron wall sconce you picked up and put back is from the Victorian age. It is for an oil lamp. Depending on price, it has a good resale value.
Why doesn't anyone price their yard sale treasures anymore? Isn't it a pain to have to ask the price all the time?
Watching you and Matt are therapy for me. Love you guys!
girl, you are awesome! It amazes me how fast you can look through and pick the BEST stuff!! You might need a crossbody bag to free up your hands though.😉

That lantern is a cool design. Love it!❤
Hair spray will remove ink marks and dawn. Eil remove stains from most anything.
That is too bad the jar broke. Maybe you can carry those big IKEA type bags with you to go picking. Makes carrying a lot better and more secure. Love watching your videos.
Or some kind of sturdy bags...can't trust paper or plastic grocery bag and that's usually what they have.
In my country grocery bags are like those IKEA bags made of sturdy plastic. They are for sale in every grocery store and everyone's to go bag for everything. They never brake, we all reuse them, share them when we have too many. No thin plastic bags to be found.

Yea that’s what I carry. 😊
Kayla I am so sorry of the glass containers broke. Maybe start taking your own bags.
Dropping your jar was something like I would do! So sorry for that mishap, but you took it so graciously. Keep up the great videos.
I think that we all felt it for you on the jar!! Dang. You did get some good finds, your always so good at that. See you next week. Blessings
I LOVE how organized your store is! I’ve seen some sellers whose “store” is a complete mess.
Try hair spray on the ink on the purse! Love shopping with you!😁
Awesome finds Kayla! I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing. Have a fantastic weekend!

Kayla, I really like the lantern you bought. Thanks for sharing your videos with us. Always look forward to you and Matt exploring yard sales. Donnie- W.V.
You definitely need to take some of those reusable grocery cloth bags so you can carry more. Especially in the busy sales

That pink Micheal Kors purse for $5, I just saw one at the Savers thrift store in SoCal for $70, ridiculous prices!
I enjoy your videos. They are very informative to me as I don't know the value of things. I also appreciate your kind respectful interactions with the persons holding the yard sale and other customers. You handled the broken jar with such grace.
Love Thursdays with Kayla!

I love watching video's with you and matt! He sure comes in handy to help carry the heavy items you find. y'all make a great couple. ❤❤💘💗
You're doing great and don't listen to what people say. Accidents happen and nobody's perfect.

Liquor store boxes with dividers work perfectly for glasses, cups & jars and they are free

You know What I Like About You n Your Videos The Most, Is How You Talk With People n Are Genuinely Friendly To All. ❤❤ (Plus The Finds too)😂

True
My heart dropped to my ass when your bag fell lol Sorry for that loss Kayla, loved those. At least one was okay 🫶
GREAT TIP: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💜
Hairspray, then a little soap & water will get rid of the ink on the bottom of that purse. 😉👍
I always carry reusable Bags with me for the reason of plastic bags failing (plus we pick for vintage clothing,so it’s needed sometimes!)
Wow, you guys have so, so many "garage and yard" sales, your in Kentucky-Texas never seen so many here in southern California! 😊
I love watching you shop. It is increasinng my Knowledge ❤❤
As a previous high end bag seller, nail polish remover removes ink on bags and hair spray takes it off clothes (found out as a waitress)
I almost died when you put that lantern on top of the MK bag at the first sale, when you made a pile on the chair! It seemed like it would be greasy & dirty. I guess it faired ok. Phew!😊
I’ve actually educated people about SOLD prices… At a local thrift store and they got it… but you’re right, people can ask whatever they want!
Those Frankenstein chair covers were so stinkin adorable! I can't wait for Halloween!
Aerosol hairspray will remove ball point ink from fabric etc.
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t take your own bags. All of the resellers I watch don’t either. Should be a staple in your cars at all times. Just makes sense
You need to get an IKEA bag to put your purchases in 😢
Love you Kayla.
I loved the lantern too. My grandfather worked for N&W for 50 years.
Still looking forward to Thursday's videos! You're the best! I'm sorry you broke the jar!😢
The looney tunes cup prices cracked me up. One of those eBay sheets was in Australian dollars. 😂
You may have broken the glass part of the Halloween jar but the top is still good, could sell that !
What is the brand of wallet do you have? I love the size, it's really held up well for years now. It's got a strong zipper. I just love the quality it is.
I wonder why people don't attempt to sell on eBay themselves. They could research one item at a time and slowly get rid of their stuff.
I always look forward to Thursday’s and your adventures
N&W Railroad Lantern, Michael Kors Purse, Cannisters, Patagonia Jacket, Sphero Star Wars Radio Control Toy, Monster Plush, Bratz Dolls Clothes and Accessories, 4 Frankenstein Chair Covers, Laural Burch Dog and Doggies Small Tote. Thanks Kayla for the video. Hope you and your family are doing well. Don't listen to the haters and trolls. Take Care. Out
I had a blue formal like that pink one for my sisters wedding in 1981! Had my senior pictures taken in it also!
I'm so sorry that I'm just getting around to looking at this video. I'm probably too late with my old lady household tips, but here they are: dawn removes ink from almost every surface that it is applied to. Could try vinegar or dawn on a moist rag as well. Sometime those just work for whatever reason! Good luck. 😂
Try either rubbing alcohol or cheap hairspray to remove ink. I've had pretty good luck with both.
I love that you had a find from st Louis. That is where I'm from.
Kayla I love your videos. You are so nice and respectful. Keep it up ❤
I always take big heavy bags along to garage sales! Like thirty one bags
The railroad lantern is great, we have one!. The black cast iron scroll arm thing you held up right by the lantern is a oil lamp holder that it’s in a bracket attached to the wall. I used them for candle, they are great!
I thought it was sooo pretty and the brass one too! ( :
You are such fun!
As soon as I saw you pass on the video games, it made me wonder if Matt watches any of your old videos 😅 and vise versa!
Love u passed on many things I might have picked up a year ago ahhh. Good finds and prices sooo cheap
Have heard that a little bit of a hairspray gets ink out
Bummer on the breakage; but you still chose some great pics. Thank you for bringing us along.
Why don't you invest in a fold up wagon or at least a substantial large tote bag for your treasures.
Good luck!
Spray some hair spray on the ink spot on the bottom of the purse it will take it off
Hairspray often removes ink marks but works better on some surfaces than others. Have an absorbent paper towel handy to avoid smearing.
I love the Laurel Burch ❤ Great video. So sorry about the break, but I’m glad one was good for you.
I just found your channel..I love your energy, variety of items in your shop and your keen eye!!
Hai spray takes off ink! 🦋🌻
Oooh noooo.. I'm always scared to hold the handles on old bags they never hold up. But I'm glad one of the jars survived.
aww! sorry you broke one, put you a small cart in your car to take items from pointn A to point B. Just a suggestion :)
Great finds. Love the lantern ! The chair covers are so cool. Sorry about the jar breaking. Thanks for taking us along enjoyed. 🥰
Do you have one of those thirty-one totes with the metal frames? those are so handy and would have saved your sweet little pumpkin jar.
I've actually found 3 of those said bags at garage sales. Love them!
I would definitely have bought the lantern, but that's just me. I see them between $65- $110 here in Indiana.

Made it to the end
😉 Sending love and prayers and hugs
Just to let you know… hairspray is a great tool for getting ink off handbags and leather shoes. Love your channel!!!
This looks like soooo much fun. Congrats on the finds. 🦄
Why don't you get some reusable bags and carry them with you? They would be so much stronger and save you from juggling your treasures?😊😊
Breaking that Halloween jar broke my heart! 😢 American Halloween items are amazing! I wish they did it half as good over in the uk.
Try hair spray, like the old style Aquanet, to remove ink. Rubbing Alcohol takes sticker residue right off. Just put on a cotton ball and rub a little and it should come right off.
Try peroxide to get ink out. Let it sit a bit and it usually wipes off. An ink pen burst in my hubbys shirt pocket and I saturated it and it came out.
You could try and use rubbing alcohol in the ink spots. Suppose to bring it off. Sorry you broke your jar. I was worried that was going to happen.
