As a tourist, it might be wonderful but when you live there, it's hell. The government tries to completely squeeze you our financially and they are damn good at it. You don't see it as a tourist, but we have a very large amount of people who live below the poverty line and are working full time. Just handig almost all their cash over to the government who on their turn hands the cash over to their friends at big business to enrich themselves.
Whilst I don't think it is that dramatic and some of it is just the consequence of capitalism and moder information society, I do agree that it went too far in the last 20 years or so. Even the president of the central bank has been urging for higher wages for best part of a decade now. And he is supposed to be politically neutral.

My home area. How nice! Very true about the dog poo though. You´re supposed to clean up after, but many don´t. It´s super annoying and disgusting.
