Those would be great additions. Here's my ideas: I would suggest giving a diplomatic function to the churches using missionaries and add a dedicated area for graves. Also, churches were used as hospitals at the time, so sick and disabled people could be taken care by the staff. Speaking of which, why not include major diseases like the bubonic plague? Churches could also be upgraded to cathedrals and become an education center. Similarly, we could upgrade the manor into castles. Those would use a massive amount of stone obviously. In the warfare, cavalry is a must. Food... i would add vineyards for wine production, and of course dairy as you mentioned. There's a salt item currently unavailable (also candles), so I think there will be coastlines, though I could be wrong. Lastly, i think the game should include more places or events for entertainment like an arena and fairs, maybe an artistic class like troubadors, bards, jesters, etc.
Entertainers were majority peasants with very few, well-established acts being more akin to burghers. No need for their own class? lol "entertainer" class would be quite silly and unneeded. What the game really needs in the classes is nobility or something above burghers, since at the time the game is set most of them are either serfs or burghers whom inhabit the main towns. I'm sure nobility or upper-class citizens will be added eventually but probably a long ways down the road.

Coastline is not a must for salt, mining salt in Poland started in 1251, you can look up Bochnia and Wieliczka (that one was later) but both are kings salt mines, on UNESCO list. As game takes place in around Franconia and one can say that depicts german colonisation of previously slavic inhabited territories, and how cultures merged, you can find not far Salt Mine Bad Friedrichshall in Germany or some in Czech Republic (altough they mined more silver like in Kutna Hora, but salt layers could be found as well)

I completely agree with you and think all the suggestions are excellent. By the way, very nicely visualised. Ich bin ganz deiner Meinung und finde alle Vorschläge exzellent. Übrigens, sehr schön visualisiert.
1) I believe that people had their own small fields behind their houses to grow their own wheat when they were done working for their lord. So while people working at the farmhouse should make crops for you (to use for army and to put in the granary for cases of famine), they should be able to grow their own wheat, maybe paying a small fee for using a mill. 2)I also believe everyone was able to make bread on their own in their homes and didn't need a dedicated house for that, let alone the invention. 3)resources like clay, ore and stone shouldn't be available in absolutely every district. It was quite common that your village had a quarry and neighboring village had a claypit and you had to exchange materials to grow. Would be appliicable especially when all map is just couple km2. 4)I would avoid having roads everywhere from the start. There should be one "main" road, not necessarilly passing through all the districts, and as you expand, you need to make sure your new settlements have access. First you just design a dirt path that pilgrims and merchants will use to get there. It will get wider and flatter with use, you can also assign a wayfarer. Paths will be susceptible to weather and for example will get muddy (=unuable) in rain and create potholes. Also elevation will play important role in efficiency of faring, so you will try to find flattest path at the cost of making it longer. You will need to build bridges over streams and will try to give the road nice pavement to make it more usable (which would also make stone bit more important resource). Having good road network between your districts will be crucial for development as, again, not all districts have all the resources. 5)Why shouldn't you be able to make one time delivery between districts? 6)logging camps should make some amount of firewood as a side product using all the branches of the trees they fell. And firewood camps should use logs as an input resource. Doesn't make sense for them to do the same thing as loggers just to chop the logs a bit more next. Alternatively, I believe people could just pick firewood at clearings to great extent. It didn't have to be institutionalised. 7)finished buildings should assing one family automatically. How much time did I lose finding out that building was finished but noone started working there? All other games have that.
I have no idea about gameplay so i can't comment on a lot of that, but i do agree this game needs cosmetic items. Specifically cosmetic items of color, because all the shades of brown makes all villages look the same.
My list with the current game would be: 1) Goats: Goats should give both meat and hide. It will supplement hunting and add as a food source. It should also be one of the requirements for lvl1 housing (2 food sources). So meat and berries should be good enough to take us to lvl2 housing(3 food sources) where bread could be the requirement. Lvl 3 housing should require Alcohol. 2) Basic Armor: Artisans should be able to make basic armor of leather without any points invested. Given the limited points we get, the tech tree is a big mess. Points should be for advanced chain mail and plate armor. Also you should have to upgrade the respective artisan plots for each advancements post research. 3) Clay ware: Just making roof tiles with clay is such a waste. Pottery workshops/artisans should be available with options to manufacture tiles, pots or crockery. Tiles are too op at the moment, the rates should be dropped. Pots and Crockery should also be requirements for higher housing lvls. 4) More design options: There should be more design or color options for buildings especially homes. Some town beautification items that add to approval rating (1-2% only per type) that need resources to be built would be great too.
What do you mean by basic armours? The most basic form of armour is textile armour like gambeson. Leather was only really used as covers for shields or the production of coats of plate/brigandines.
Great ideas, and great animations. Mostly I like the concept with the rivers, it would add a lot of new techniques for the game. But there where no potatos and no nightligths in the 14. century ;-)
Potatos were brought by the Spanish in the 16th century from South America they did not exist in europe before, European vegtables would be Turnips, Onions, Carrots, Cabbages and Lenses. Specially Onions were part of the regular diet in europe. edit: I would like if you could upgrade the hunting camp into a Pheasantry, these were Places that were speciallized on Phasan hunting and even breed them. For the pond and lake thing i would like it if a plot that is build at a lake would be able to fish or breed goose for meat. Fishing would be cool and is a no brainer in any building game actually.
me being german and its such an integral part of our culture I naively thought it must have been earlier. Despite knowing it can´t be earlier than 16th century lol
Potatoes are not native to Europe and would be completely absent from a medieval farmer's fields, as they were discovered in the Americas after the middle ages. Other root vegetables such as beet roots were prevalent, though.
yeah absolutely, atm i also feel like theres a good chance to keep the balancing but just give us more options for jobs and maybe then a reduction in demand at some point to implement the other part of the chains
@RudiRennkamel There's going to be several different types of animals and I think that players should keep in mind they also have to feed them too not just your villagers. And also use the manure from cow's and pigs to use in fields to increase yield for crops. Maybe a job where someone goes around cleaning up the sewage in people's houses. There's a ton of things the dev could add that would make the game great.
I had no problem producing food in less fertile regions. Between meat, vegetables, eggs, apples and berries I had no problem feeding my people for the first few years. It does require a lot of farming to get a decent wheat yield though. And flax and barley? Forget about it. I hope they implement being able to slaughter sheep for food and hides.
The reed would only make sense with lvl 1 houses as the lvl 2 houses are made with wood tile roofs and lvl 3 obviously clay tiles. I think adding reeds as a building material for lvl 1 houses might make it a bit too difficult
Stone could be used to make different types of housing tier 3 or tier 4, etc. Infinite possibilities. The 5th thing about cosmetica i don't agree.. benches and stuff make it very quickly look like a theme park. Thé things added need to be drawn from medieval sources for example travelling merchants, priests, a schavot, hanging poles outside thé city, a news board, horses and mules etc. No benches and no lanterns, except maybe around thé Tavern. Also we urgently need an Abbey as religion was highly dominant during western medieval times. All thé things that could be added with thé Abbey could go crazy next level. For example a prestigious library, apothecary, etc.
Dairy farms would be great. Get milk and later make one of your houses to produce Cheese. Lakes, Rivers and Ponds should really be there. Later fishing and boats, build bridges etc. Water mills and all. Lot of potential.
I'm probably biased as an artist, but , when using AI, could you please mention it or put it in the description at least ? AI is still a very debated topic and is becoming armful to a lot of creative jobs, therefor, by using it, you dive into a political issue, whether you want it or not. I totally understand and personally thinks it's okay for small content creators to use this stool when they don't have a special talent for photoshoping, drawing etc , or just it simply being quicker (and you're trying to fight against the TH-cam time machine). Although I would have preferred charming (even childish) sketches from you anytime tbh :) My point is please mention it at some point so that your audience is aware of what you're doing and out of respect for the artist community who feels very vulnerable and under threat at the moment. Thank you, have a nice day :)
I could've sworn I did it, normally I always do. Plus TH-cam has a toggle. For some reason it doesn't show (it's still beta) because I activated it. I won't join the debate tho because it's very biased. I have my own stance. And I couldn't draw cause my Bamboo is not working atm :((

1. for me is Water in general. Coastlines later would be rad of course. 2. for me is COLOR, holy hell it's so bland visually and very unhistorical for the time period since colors were seen on everything in most towns and villages not suffering from plague or famine, lol.
@@blackpanda1247 Exactly. Ponds with (cultivated) carp and other fish, pike included, and rivers, rivulets, streams and lakes with "wild" fish. Why should such food ressources be ignored?
Top Five? This game needs at least another 20 buildings and a competitive AI opponent(s). I highly doubt this game ever gets complete. It nearly lost 90% of the initial player base. Game is most likely doomed but the Dev made millions so I'm happy for him.
I do politely disagree. For a game like this it's normal to lose player base that quickly. TBF if you don't try so much like I do or make videos, after 10-20 hrs there isn't much as of now. But that's fine. If you compare it however to 99% of all EA titles in the past 3 years, this game is way more stable, has a way higher player base, has amazing patches and the foundation is already looking insanely solid. So the framework is there. Adding content is doable. Most games fail when they focussed on content too early while the foundation was broken. I can't wait for more content for this game !
I think with the current state of the game it is very expected to lose most of its playerbase. At least for now. Its the same for me. I dont want to burn out on the game before it gets some bigger updates and content. He didnt take his sweet time with the game to just let it rot. Ich bin ganz deiner Meinung und finde alle Vorschläge exzellent. Übrigens, sehr schön visualisiert.
good points mentioned, hopefully will be implemented in the future
My list with the current game would be:
1) Goats: Goats should give both meat and hide.
But there where no potatos and no nightligths in the 14. century ;-)
True then it's candle lanterns haha
Why don't you try to mod it ?
I would love viking invasions, and they would be really hard and you'd be needed to think differently strategically to survive.
I love your ideas
Despite knowing it can´t be earlier than 16th century lol
we NEED maps with rivers and other bodies of water. It would add so much more depth to the game, but also strategic advantages
Anyone know when the next update is planned?
all great suggestions. Rivers is top for me
Riveeerrra
Imagine how hard the winter would be if the rivers really would freeze. 😱😅
Jup haha
Potatoes are not native to Europe and would be completely absent from a medieval farmer's fields, as they were discovered in the Americas after the middle ages. Other root vegetables such as beet roots were prevalent, though.
I would like to see way more production chains. It sucks when you have just a few production chains but a ton of people that need jobs.
yeah absolutely, atm i also feel like theres a good chance to keep the balancing but just give us more options for jobs and maybe then a reduction in demand at some point to implement the other part of the chains
Great Video, great Ideas. Good Job! :) I support all of them!
Totally agree and i want my calvary and crossbow men!.
Top 5 features for planet coaster 2?
we had that already :D
@@RudiRennkamel my bad just remembered haha
And stones could be use for manor upgrade to castle
Feudal japan dlc or japan sequel would be dream
i wish we have another civ to play or there are near sea maps
I had no problem producing food in less fertile regions.
Between meat, vegetables, eggs, apples and berries I had no problem feeding my people for the first few years.
It does require a lot of farming to get a decent wheat yield though. And flax and barley? Forget about it.
I hope they implement being able to slaughter sheep for food and hides.
give him a like guys maybe devs will include these things in the future.
This game is good, but Songs of Syx is amazing.
Love all these ideas!
Pretty much everything from anno and the stronghold games, but with the art style of manor lords
Although I would have preferred charming (even childish) sketches from you anytime tbh :)
My point is please mention it at some point so that your audience is aware of what you're doing and out of respect for the artist community who feels very vulnerable and under threat at the moment. Thank you, have a nice day :)
I could've sworn I did it, normally I always do. Plus TH-cam has a toggle. For some reason it doesn't show (it's still beta) because I activated it.
I won't join the debate tho because it's very biased. I have my own stance. And I couldn't draw cause my Bamboo is not working atm :((
@@RudiRennkamel Thanks for adding the info in the video description. That's a safe bet in case you get forgetful like this time. You did mention the use of IA orally in your Anno video but people can miss it by jumping to a later point still. So yeah ... description is a safe bet ^-^
And don't worry, I was not asking you to jump in the debate, just to take some ethical action. Sorry for you're bamboo :((
potatoes didn't exist during the medieval era
Dude, potatoes at 14th century Europe?
There are more important things to do. Assign fields to farmers. Assign eg for coalers to get firewood from next spot and not to go over the map....
Yeah I feel like these things are obvious. I wanted to get away from the micromanaging part intentionally
1. for me is Water in general. Coastlines later would be rad of course. 2. for me is COLOR, holy hell it's so bland visually and very unhistorical for the time period since colors were seen on everything in most towns and villages not suffering from plague or famine, lol.
Would be clever to have the goats give milk and meat and not just leather, they are already in the game...
Absolutely agreed but seasonal..
Sorry, can't have potatoes, they only arrived in Europe in the mid to late 1600's. 😆
Yup, i got a little too much into the 16th century haha! being "too german" :D
@@RudiRennkamel Yup, in some region of Europe potatoes weren't really cultivated till XIX century
🤩🤩
Rudi, „Life by You“
got canceled by the way…. 😱
There were no potatoes in europe at that time period. Sorry.
Yeah I heard that one now 😅😅
I need pig and cow!! I love MEAT!!
For the algorithm
Can’t drink from still water
Goats and sheep should give meat...as they do in real life.
The game has much more potential and I am sure we will see many updates to come.
@@IIVenom it's an alpha version for us to test and kind of gentle gesture.
I hate those people who rant about games when its still alpha versions. So f* annoying.
I mean what do these people think alpha means. Besides its a singleplayer game, so of course people are "done" with it after 10-20hours.
@@blackpanda1247 Thats the thing. People make up their own definition of earl access and whats supposed to be in the game and what not. People are just dumb. But what do we expect on the internet? People dont even take time to inform them self and expect something thats not offered in the first place to get offended.... ridiculous.
also add more religions. Like judasim christianity(ofc) and islam.
in franconia?
