Had to split a piece of rubber hose and put several band clamps on a return hydraulic line to finish a job couple of times. The ones that roasted you apparently are spoon fed and don't know what its like in the real world, you do what you gotta do at certain points. Brilliant idea to my notion!
I'd much rather be working and making money with a hillbilly type repair than sitting on my backside waiting for parts! Ya done good kid!

That’s great! It will get you by until you get the new ones on. That looks like it was a good idea to get you moving again.
