A mnemonic I use for Ghrelin is that it makes you hungry = Hunghrelin. Whereas Leptin makes you thin = Lepthin.

Oh and Leptin is derived from Lepthos which literally means thin.

First I'd like to say that you should be a teaching prof. Maybe you are. Constructive comment: "GIP is the only GI hormone that is released in response to fat, protein, and carbohydrate." Source: BRS Physiology, 6th Ed. Thanks again for great content!

How fascinating turns out the GI physiology. Doing a great job as always Medicosis. I didn't imagine there is such complexity especially after the previous video and the peristaltic physiology which left me wondering to be honest and i hope one day you elaborate more about that section specifically, it's not clinically relevant but it worth the appropriate understanding even tho the mechanism maybe not yet fully understood, so if anybody can deliver such content it'll be you. Finally i hope down the road we can elaborate specifically how defecation works, i watched lots of videos about micturition but no one fulfilled my curiosity regarding the former topic :)

If you give octreotide for the treatment of esophageal varices, wouldn’t it inhibit insulin, glucagon and others simultaneously leading to chaos?🤔

i have cramps from past 2 years i have done all the testing everything is normal but I don't have diarrhoea or constipation still i suffer unintentional weightloss due to which i have excess dandruff on scalp and face i loose my beard my hair and leg hair as well. Doctor said you have ibs based on symptom of cramps 😢 I don't think i have ibs because it involves large bowel as well ,i feel like whatever I eat doesn't get absorbed can you help me diagnose my condition and get well ? I recently took antidepressant depsonil 25 which helped me for a week only ? Is it really ibs or something else ?
