    Is the person A (oral glucose) who will have a higher blood insulin level
    Because of the : "incretin effect " of GIP ( Glucose-like Insulinotropic Peptid ) and GLP-1 ( Glucagon-like peptid 1)
    These" incretins" are GI hormones and secreted by the upper part of small intestin in response to fatty acids, aminoacids, glucose taken oraly
    Action of these hormones is : increasing the insuline secretion

    Duodenum is the length of 12 fingers. Fun fact: in Lithuania we even call duodenum according to this fact:
    "dvylikapirštė" - "the one of 12 fingers long"

    Person A.
    Because you need digestion to stimulate additional(?) insulin release so that glucose can be turned into glycogen? Because the body wants to maintain a constant blood sugar level when taking in more food.
    -Could glucose also be turned into starch seeing as how the difference between glycogen and starch is the source? Or am I just completely confused (still working on my foundation)?
    In person B, the glucose is put directly into the bloodstream ie it does not need to be absorbed through the GIT, so digestion isn't stimulated and insulin will be lower? I suppose it might be secreted in response to the high blood sugar level, but maybe in lower amounts due to the lack of the digestive cascade? I haven't done this work yet so I have no idea.

    Well here I go:
    I think duodenum got its name from being a vessel of sorts which accommodated the DENATURING of substances in the chyme from TWO organs.
    How about them apples?🍎 🍏 Too much imagination?

    • @michelenichele294
      @michelenichele294 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Poorly phrased, but it’s late ⏰.
      s/b: Accommodates the denaturing of substances in the chyme with two organs.

    I love amylase. Starch is the foundation of the human diet. A book _Catching Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human_ written from the perspective of anthropology and primatology is very entertaining. Our amylase production, compared to the other great apes, quickly ramped up to accommodate digesting cooked starches after we learned how to control fire.
