It's about a 2 - 2.5 hour drive west of Sydney CBD. Or you can get the train from Central Station to Katoomba which departs about every hour and the trip takes about 2 hours on the train.

Going there next week, tried to buy tickets online but we have to pick a time. What is the time for? I thought we have unlimited access to all rides

2 hours I think for us as we love spending time in the walkway, but you can take the shorter walk and it will be quicker.
