I am an Astro fan but i grew up listening about Fernando Throughout my childhood from my dad. Tonight watching game 1 with my dad was a must. Remembering our Mexican hero. Then Freddie hitting the walk off hr telling my dad "just like Gibson dad just like Gibson" ( my dad is blind) screaming together. My dad is a dodgers fan. Its was epic and just right. I just knew something special was going to happen tonight. Thank you Fernando, Thank you Freddie, Thank you Baseball!!!

such a beautiful tribute!! I am crying watching this. Fernando Valenzuela was the reason my parents introduced me to Dodgers Baseball. May he rest in peace!!
I’m a Yankee fan, but grew up going to Dodger games when Fernando was on the mound. I missed this part of the game last night and was really bummed. Thank you so much for sharing. So beautiful.
Valenzuela belongs in the Hall of Fame. He had an impact on the game that can't be measured by only stats. He was better than some pitchers that are in the HOF. Some just hung around to get 300 wins Don Sutton for example. Valenzuela was special
The Dodger organization paid tribute to Fernando Valenzuela before the game. Fernando Valenzuela passed at 63 years of age. Final score of Dodger historic WS Game 1 win 6 - 3. Coincidence!
RESPECT to Valenzuela & condolences go out to his entire family…as a refugee who played baseball…I’m grateful to all of Valenzuelas accomplishments & his inspirations for all of us minorities…Valenzuela = hope

I relived memories of my dad hearing the game on the radio listening to Jaime jarring in Spanish and watching the game on TV! We became huge fans of Fernando and the dodgers! The saddest thing is that even though we lived in the San Fernando valley most of my early years my dad never went to see a game at dodgers stadium 😢! May Fernando rest in peace!
Beautiful tribute! Rest in Peace in Paradise , Fernando, surrounded by love, family, and, many Dodger fans up there too.! We will never forget you! You will always be in our hearts!
Recordando a nuestro extraordinario Toro Valenzuela.
I remember watching him play with the San Antonio Dodgers when I was a kid in San Antonio. I was 10yrs old that was 45 years ago, he only played here for a short time before being called up to the majors. And man was it ever an amazing feeling seeing one of us pitching for a major league team like the Dodgers. I’ve been a dodgers fan ever since. Rest In Peace Champ and enjoy playing ball with the greats in that big diamond in the sky.
Hoy estuvo presente ai en el estadio impulsando a los jugadores para ganar el primer juego de la serie mundial , en tu memoria primer juego ganado en casa, descansa en paz Fernando " el toro " Valenzuela.
Gracias Fernando Valenzuela for making us Mexicans proud. 1981 was unforgettable watching you pitch with the pressure of the game. Jugaste con unos ___ bien puestos! I was a little girl recently came to the US and my dad and my mom were so excited watching you. First time watching baseball on tv and all I knew was you looked like my dad dark skinned and fearless and you were the best. You were a role model for us kids. Thank you💙👏🏼✨️✨️
In retrospect he was such a significant figure in my childhood, as a Mexican-American and a Dodger fan. His seismic impact on baseball and Mexican- American culture will be celebrated for years to come. RIP Fernando. 💙⚾️
What a deserving tribute for this gentleman. Mr. Valenzuela was also an exceptional baseball player who represented his profession in the highest manner. I will never forget him standing on the mound in Montreal, looking up at the sky with his tongue out catching the first snowflakes he ever saw. It was an all too rare glimpse of the goodness and joy in all of us. Thank you for passing our way, God bless you and rest in eternal peace.
I will never forget the day I bumped into Fernando and got his autograph! A bud was looking for a job application and Fernando came out of his radio booth to use the restroom I suppose
Thank you Fernando for bringing in a whole group (Latinos) into the fold. To this day Latino Dodger fans are one of the most loyal and dedicated of any base in sports period.
I am a Yankee fan, but Fernando Valenzuela become an inmortal on my Yankee heart, unique, extraordinary pitcher, better person, humble in and outside the field, record that needs to in Cooperstown! May his soul rest in peace✝️❤️❤️🙏🏻🛐

Here watching this video since this is where Kendrick Lamar first heard Deyra Barrera and put her on GNX 👏🏽
Same! It must’ve been also the fact that she sang amor eterno- that’s a master piece from our Mexican Beethoven
Inolvidable! Que tu espíritu inspire a tus Dodgers a ganar esta serie mundial.
