Those days were just precious. I remember my dad packing us in the Datsun and we would drive to Dodgers Stadium whenever Fernando pitched. Heading up Stadium Way from the 5 Freeway, scalpers were lined up selling tickets, and there were always street vendors selling bootlegged merchandise like hats and jerseys. Pavilion seats were $5 and could be purchased at a booth behind the stadium...parking was $2, Dodger Dogs were $2, they sold those Carnation Malts for $3...fans brought their radios to hear Vin Scully call the game...Those were great days.

5:09 - I went to Jerry Reuss's house in Vegas about 17 years ago. I was a satellite tech and noticed the baseball memorabilia. I had suddenly realized whose house I was in. He was a nice dude. At the end, I just shook his hand and told him it was great to meet him.
As I lived through this era in Dodger baseball and was a fan long before Fernando arrived, I can still feel the excitement that was clearly evident after Fernando showed up. The difference was night and day, as electric as Tommy was, there was an electricity after Fernandomania started that not even Tommy, the king of excitement, could match and I cannot ever see something like that ever happening again. Nomomania was nice...but not nearly at the same level and Nomo deserves plenty of love as well. With Magic as a Laker, and winning championships, at the same time - the 80s in Los Angeles was truly an epic time.
i was at the aug 12th game with my lil bro and younger primo when they gave out the replica world series rings. i wore it for every game this series. RIP Fernando. Viva La Raza, Viva Los Dodgers
One of my favorite Dodgers of ALLTIME !! IMO ..... If "Uncle Tommy" had of not overpitched him (sometimes 150/160/ 170 pitched games) he would've had more longevity and Hall of Fame numbers !!
They did it to Bauer & sad how quickly they will erase player like he never existed!!! I get he did this to himself but he still put in the work an helped out years! Can’t erase reality like can’t erase that creepy stuff that went on at dodgers property parking lot on gay pride day which had nuthing to do with baseball
