That pure hatred in his eyes when regina is leaving, this is one of the very few times when Regina is MUCH darker than Rumple, and it's so heartbreaking because the way he says "So she needs a home" is so hopeful, as he wants her back
If it wasn't for regina casting the dark curse rumpel would've ripped out her heart and either crush it or made her his maid. Poor rumple couldn't do anything. And when he said: "so she needs a home?" he was just hoping she'd come back
2:44 If he didn't need her for the Curse, I could imagine Rumple saying, "You're right!" Then we see a scene where Regina is scrubbing the floor and saying, "This isn't quite what I meant!"
1:19 If Regina was thinking straight, the tone of his voice when he asks, "What tragedy?" would have her sweating in terror. She's tap dancing in a mine field.
It amazes me how much the writers modeled the original story after the earlier renditions of "Beauty and Beast" which was called "East of the sun West of the moon" Perhaps one day I will do a video on it but in that version the prince is disguised as a bear and when the beauty character learns that he is really man who takes off his fur at night (by spilling some candle was on him) he has to run and hide in a far off land and he she goes looking for him ashamed that she doubted him (Like how Rumple doubted belle) and when she gets there he has no memory of her who she really is so she has has to find a way to help him remember. (just like how Belle forgot who she was and had no memory of Rumple) it was an interesting gender swap
Always wondered why he didn't could just pop in Belle's kingdom and see the truth by himself. In his human form he beat up his father believing that he harmed Belle so why not now and why believe Regina?
And here's the main difference why I really prefer over Rumple over Regina. He's ruthless, cold, and with an underlying fearful nature. What he is not is a nasty person. That, is Regina. I love villains, but will take a killer over a cruel person as crazy as that sounds.
I think its because killers will just take you out, but cruel people will just torture you to an inch before your last breath, and revive just to do it again.
@@via3155 No, he's not less creative. Just a big picture guy. The man is patient to a fault. He manipulated everyone including Regina into doing what he wanted.
@@via3155 Looking back, he has definitely done some.....iffy things. I think I was only up to this episode when I commented this😅 I do think that he's not quite the same, though. Regina used Graham as a sex slave for no reason and killed so many just because she was bitter. Most of the people Rumple got rid of were bad
Sometimes I think Regina might be Jealous that Rumple never went all the way with her like he did with her mom and likely her sister. She kinda gives off that energy in this scene. Anyone else get that feeling?
I would have loved to have seen the battle between Cora and Rumple. There was a reference that at one point Cora almost bested Rumple. Maybe that's how she got the magic book.
natcan17 it’s not her hair. The style is clearly full and different in the shots prior but in that shot I can see straight through her hair. The cgi messed up, more than likely because too much green was being reflected in her hair and the computer “deleted” it like it does the green screen background. It was probably too late to reshoot when they caught it.
The look on Rumple's face as Regina's leaving pretty much says "You are incredibly lucky I need you to cast the Dark Curse."
meriln leghcgjkssd exactly
I even read that in Gold’s voice 🤣
That pure hatred in his eyes when regina is leaving, this is one of the very few times when Regina is MUCH darker than Rumple, and it's so heartbreaking because the way he says "So she needs a home" is so hopeful, as he wants her back
Shows that he has a blind spot and she took advantage really well
I love this scene cause it's one of the few that Regina is more evil than the Dark One.
And he can't do anything to her, because he needs her alive to cast the dark curse, oh poor rumple.
Rman rumple was Vulnerable here
SAME

She knows. She doesn't care.
@@LadyLubdan Which proves she isn't thinking straight. Yeah, she's safe because he needs her for the Curse, but _she_ has no way to know that.
you know, rumple practically created that monster, and it was backfiring on his ass in this scene
Not really backfiring, since he needed her. And he knew that too, you can see the look on his face. Pure hatred since he can't kill her
0:38 I love how her voice changed mimicking a sarcastic remark the actresses is phenomenal in the role

LOVELY.
The way Rumple's shoulders slump and all the air is let out of him. Sadness and regret 😢
Absolutely.
And he believed her, otherwise he would have looked for Belle in Storybrook, because he was awake 18 years before the dark curse ended.
Always wondered why he didn't could just pop in Belle's kingdom and see the truth by himself. In his human form he beat up his father believing that he harmed Belle so why not now and why believe Regina?
Plot. Bcz Rumple being Rumple he would have checked for himself.
He did she wasn’t there when he looked for her magically Regina had her cloaked it was explained in the end by belle of season one
The fear in his face after he asks "what tragedy?"
Rumple's face always gets me 😭
i love this game between those two
0:58 If that look on Regina's face isn't jealousy, I don't what else it could be.
Well jealousy runs in her family.
@Theo Mills Being head over heels in love with Rumple runs in her family. Cora, Zelena and now Regina.
Regina was REALLY pushing her luck here
Well if they fight you know she may win 50 to 50
@@zyairjames6758 Not a chance. Rumple (or is it rumpel?) would just teleport her to somewhere since he can't kill her since he needs her
@@masterofdragons82 oh I did not know he can teleport people
Zyair James He can. He has teleport himself, plus other people many of times in this show
@@masterofdragons82 oh ok thanks for letting me know
Is it me or is it that the look rumple gives regina signifies he wants to rip out someone's heart
2:10 Lol 😂 the way she said that thou.Thats when I knew she was cappin
You know for a Dark One Rumplestiltskin sure knows how to make a person's blood boil and run cold
Regina was spill the tea, but the tea was too hot for rumple
Fr she was burning him
when the student exceeds the teacher
1:25 Buffys scythe is in the background
The vampire slayer?
Well hot dang, that's an easter egg and a half, from another old favorite ABC show
I have watched this show on repeat more times than I know how do I miss these Easter eggs
... And you need a New stable boy...
I think if he hadn't been so devastated he'd have gone there. I can imagine Regina shrieking like a fury when she got home if he had!
@@saintfighteraqua haha sameee
OUCH!! lol.
Lolll good one
Rumple believed her although he can magically transports to Belle's father, rips his heart and ask him where is Belle?
I think the reason why he didn't just "fact check" himself is that he really feared that Regina was telling the truth.
@@creativewriter3887
So will it be. Full of sadness, he was just too shocked by Regina's statement.

PERIOD REGINAAA
you better destroy this old man’s heart, pop off
Whale balls. Regina isnt very powerful as far as magic goes but she's probably the craziest 😂
nah, that is still Zelena. No one more unhinged.
Once u go bad, you never go back

lol at 2:15 the cgi background is cutting off reginas hair
Ikr? Great show, but the cgi is awful.
I mean, it could just be her own hair. It's not farfetched

Anyone else notice the magician's hat in the background?
Not *the* magicians hat anyway, we see that later in season 4
