Thank you for the video, after watching this I fixed both my bathroom windows in 10 mins. The rails were never connected when the last owners installed them many years ago. Wife is extremely happy now.
Thanks for an informative video that's right to the point and clear. Ordered replacement clips from SWISCO and I should be good to go once they arrive. Window has been broken for years and now it will finally work again. You should post information about where you bought the parts so we don't have to scour the comments for the information.
Great job on this video explanation. So helpful and so clear. Now I finally think I can do this job. Thank you very much for doing this video and doing it so well.
Thank you!!!!!!! This helped me immensely! Great video showing me the inner workings so I could fix my own window. Saved a trip to my local big box HW, and saved money. Peace to you!
I agree. Today's throw-away society doesn't even consider the DIY repairs that can be (somewhat) easily had if we're willing to _do it ourselves_ . Then again, there are still people such as yourself, RManni and myself who are absolutely interested in DIY... hence our visit here!
Thanks for sharing this replacement video, it was very helpful. Where do you buy the terminal hooks? Also have you replaced the chord inside the channel?
Thanks for the post. I inspected and did not see anything visually wrong in the balances. But still one of my windows goes up an inch from the bottom when it is closed and another larger window slides from top to the bottom with nonresistance. Any ideas what could be wrong? The windows are 22 years old. Should I just replace the balance?
Thanks for showing how these parts work. My problem is one of the balance blocks is stuck in the up position. I pulled it to the side just barely enough to click out the tabs and can slide the window all the way up again now but the block and sash are still jammed in there. How do I remedy this? I don't have any pivot lock shoes to slide and take it out of the pane, either.
Ok but what is the balance moved out of the window and one is stuck covering the clip??? And the other one is down where the screen goes??? My window wont close
Can you suggest a good hardware site to buy the window channel. My channel looks good but the nylon rope inside the channel was torn . Not sure if I can get that part or if I have to buy the whole window channel.
Man this, as simple as it is, saved me from mental illness. Thank you!
You’re not lying, had 4 shots of Jack when my widow came apart!
@@mrvaz300 Same, in my rental home. I've just about seen it all now. 🤣

If you move the window all the way up, try to wiggle a bit. It should loosen the balance and slide out
Thanks man, nice video.

Can you suggest a good hardware site to buy the window channel. My channel looks good but the nylon rope inside the channel was torn . Not sure if I can get that part or if I have to buy the whole window channel.
I got mine from www.swisco.com
Nylon rope is probably hard to change, you might want to buy a new balance.
Thank you so very much!
This Was Right On , Thanks....
Thanks
Muy bien explicado gracias 👍
Thank you.
Perfect. Great video
Thank you!
I personally would just buy a whole new one!!
It costs about 10 to 15 dollars. Cost could quickly add up when you have multiple windows
My house has like 20 windows 😄
I’ll hVe to come back to this when it isn’t 3 degrees below zero and windy!
Not my style window but very nice video
What could go wrong?
excelente thank you
I use windowrepairparts.us for all my window parts.
Awesome video! Thanks.
