FF8 is definitely my favorite game and first Final Fantasy. The edits throughout the run were perfect and a great watch (: congratulations on another platinum!

People always bring up the junction system as the reason FFVIII is divisive, but back when it came out i never heard anyone talking about that part. The reason people were criticizing it was because it was heavily focused on a love story.
It’s because there’s enough content now that they can compare the game to. Remember FF12? It was one of the most hated FF when it got released. But after FF13, suddenly people hail that game as one of the best FF. Basically, the haters are the loudest. Always

I was 10 when I got FF7 and 12 when I got 8, so it's special to me too! We used to learn to love the games and music CDs we had back then. I think the Lunatic Pandora is pronounced Lunar, Lune-atic, it made more sense to me anyway

I started playing FF8 remastered today and when I got Siren it said that 44.7% of players got that. Seriously? not even half of the player base thought to Draw on Elvoret?
Something to note with diablos which maybe most people know? Maybe some don't? Idk. I don't have any friends that play 8 like i do. However, the demi spell you can draw from diablos actually works on him, which makes the fight significantly easier. Do it 2 or 3 times, hit him with a limit break and hes toast.
Wait, fr? I never attempted it before cuz it's a boss, and bosses are commonly immune to gravity spells. Even 9-yr-old me never tried it. Man, that would've been a helpful tip as a kid.
@@Aerynolae yes😊😁. It really trivializes it, and usually by the timr you are done doing your casts. He has lowered your health in to limit break range. So you just use those to finish him!
Love this game, I played on PS1/2 and a PC emulator, so no trophies but I did about all of this. I'm surprised there weren't trophies for more of the weirder side things.
This showed up in my recommended and I’m very pleased. VIII is probably one of my absolute fave games in the series. Also, I hear all those FFXIV tracks, you’re not slick ❤😉
I don't know how to describe this game because it's far from perfect yet somehow perfect! Like a B grade movie that's awesome or a band that's not popular but its your favourite, sometimes you can't explain why you love something so much and that its so difrent so unique that you feel like its completely made just for you. I don't think I'll ever love another video game quite like I love FF8 and the fact that people by and large don't and won't ever understand. That to me is .....perfect
It bothers me to no end anyone who doesn't fight Diablos at level 30+. At 30+, Diablos gives flare and holy draws. It's ridiculous but so dang good. Also he is easily crippled by blind. He is succeptible to it.
There should have been a trophy for knocking that spider down on the bridge during the escape. (Note: That is the ONLY spot where you can actually reduce its HP to zero and get a massive amount of AP and a one-time bonus of points for the SeeD exam.)
Grind Triple Triad at the beginning of the game, and focus especially on getting 100 tornadoes by refining the Abyss Worm card (1 windmill per Abyss Worm card, equal to 20 tornadoes). Junction tornado to Squall's strength stat, and have Squall's health lowered by the time you have to fight the robot spider in order to get access to his limit break. It's mandatory to run away during the first encounter, but you can beat it at any other time after that. You have to reduce the spider's HP to zero a total of 5 times, if I'm not very much mistaken.
The Battle of The Gardens was beyond epic Squall giving orders,Zell preparing the troops,the music,soldiers pouring into the garden from everywhere riding their bikes,crashing through windows, rescuing Rinoa, the cutscenes, Squalls speech, the hot dogs "dont leave anything for the enemy" Then you take the fight to them in a huge clash putting a end to it by beating Seifer and Edea Simply epic
This is the game that I 100% back on PS1 and it took me about 93 hours to do so - unlock everything, get best weapons, kill Omega Weapon etc. etc. It was so long ago - we still had old CRT tvs in our apartment - one in the living room and one really small one in my parents bedroom. Since they were mostly watching larger TV in living room, I played this game on small (like 10 inch) CRT and still managed to do everything that it had to offer to me. I cannot say how much I loved it as my first Final Fantasy game (and how much I love goddamn Eden raid in XIV for giving this game so many cool little references)
@@OmegaEnvych amazing! I remember playing it on the old CRT from my brother. It was so old broken we needed a guitar pick to keep the power button pressed, it would pop out once every while. This game just means so much to me, it's crazy.
Btw if you give rinoa meteor and some non dmg spells, give her aura and activate her second special skill, she will basically only cast meteor over and over again. You can basically go afk and let her do everything
@@YamiOnTH-cam well you only get her second special after you were in space, so its use is limited. And the long cast animation can be annoying, but the endfight is a breeze, you basically have the same buildup as you did. Maelstrom, invincible, aura. Just give her high speed + autohaste/haste and she will instantly cast again, so she can land several Meteor before the enemy will even think about attacking. Maybe i'll do a video and upload it on my main channel.
If you plan on doing ff14 the ps4 trophy list has a 6 month time gate on it and have to log in regularly to do it (im currently 3 months away from the plat), If you plan on only doing the ps5 is just a super long grind GL
@@UndeadTNT Thanks for watching the video! To clear it up, in my first video I explained I am not playing FF14. I already played a few thousand hours on PC and not planning on returning. Otherwise it would be just gathering and crafting for the platinum 😅 which is not fun.
I used The End with Selphie to beat Omega. I used Aura and just kept clicking do over until The End appears. You have to have Selphies’s final weapon to get that limit break.
I love final fantasy 8. But my favorite one in the series is ff6, which was also my first ff game. It's very special to me. It changed my life and made me love turn based rpgs, which are the rpgs i like the best to this date ☺️
FF8 music always hit different... Quite surprise that the first Lionheart showcase in the entire video was at Omega Weapon. Would be cool to see FF8 Remake
I always get excited when I think of playing this game, then remember how much triple triad you have to play and... don't play it. Back in the day I beat this game multiple times and now I can't bring myself to play that mini game anymore. I know you don't HAVE to, but I'm the type that has to get everything.
FF8 is the best FF imo. Was the first one i ever played and had me hooked on the franchise to this day. Hell, I I've even bought 8 multiple times for almost every system it was available on iver the years. 10 is a very close 2nd though
FF8 had the most "epic" story. The unique places, the large scale battles, etc. Each cutscene felt really unique and memorable. Sorceress's, space monsters, lunatic Pandora, time compression.. everything was so interesting. Music 10/10. Triple triad 10/10.
I completed FF8 3x, 1x without killing. The level scaling in this game was annoying. I didn't know about it the first time and I entered lv as quickly as possible because I thought I would be stronger

Even if you complete all of those games, you still didn't complete every mainland FF game😁 The ironic thing? Those games are the easiest..........LMAO.

Because most people who min/max the game never get anywhere near level 30 as it is very suboptimal to do so.

I have attempted this many times, never figured it out how to beat it.

Crisis Core is gonna take like 45 hours. Remake like 55 hours. Rebirth took me 173 hours. Good luck.
