I remember seeing him on some award show, on TV, a few years back. He was alone on this gigantic stage, and there was nothing as electrifying as this guy strutting along with immense bravado, and taking command of the crowd in seconds just via his body language… it was absolutely incredible.

3 people influenced Mick. First- Brian Jones. At the start, Mick was timid but Brian would get in the face of the audience at clubs and smack the tambourine to rile the audience up. Mick then did more of the same 2nd - James Brown. Seeing him at the Apollo in 64 and then sharing the stage at Tami show later the same year. 3rd - Tina Turner. They were backing up the Stones in 66 and Mick took many of Tina’s feminine antics and made it his own

I thought he got the moves from James Brown!!! That guy had some moves. 😮 WOW.
They must all have some killer arthritis these days. I read that Prince had a lot of pain with all that jumping around in those high heels that he wore.
Athletes too. I worked in a hospital where a famous football player had back surgery and was told to never play again. Of course, he didn’t listen. They some of these guys make pain rub commercials later on. Our bodies weren’t meant to take on that extra stress.

For me, the movers were 1) David Lee Roth 2)Steven Tyler and then, there's everyone else, like Ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar, maybe Eddie Vedder, Axl Rose w Snake Dance, James Brown, etc. Of course, Jagger goes without saying, but my favorite frontmen were 1 and 2 right there and I don't listen to that music anymore.

His band mates made fun of his prancing about…I think Keith mentioned Poofter once.
