this one log truck did more to make us pay attention on the road than all the PSAs ever made.
Yeah last weekend I come across with log trucks on Georgia State Highway 540 going to Macon. I saw it I stepped on that gas pedal til I hit 90 mph and passed it.

Who says “scare em straight” tactics don’t work?
This movie franchise, in particular, and a simple Log Truck scene, has cause countless generations to rethink their driving lifestyle, including scarring them.
Thanks to this movie, my sister, to this day (45) refuses to drive behind a timber truck.
We did it like a month after watching the movie, and just the tiny bits of bark being rubbed loose from the the logs had us staring at them as if it was a monster 😅
The second it was available, she drove past it (2 lane highway).
Our timber trucks aren't like this one though. The have like... I want to call them bars, on the sides, sometimes they have some sort of bands (similar to ones you can use on suitcases but bigger and more durable). But they are still a worry in both of our minds to this day (and I don't even drive 😂)
must be a generation things. Cause I've seen the movie and I still tail gate those log trucks idc.
Yeah they just focus on their phones now
To this day I get nervous being behind an overloaded loose truck
And people are driving worse than ever now so maybe we need another reboot.
the reason that the highway scene is my favorite in the entire franchise : the log truck driver survives it !
Then must have been charged with accidental manslaughter.
@@Neo-bd9dksorry what⁉️🗿
@@hunchogringo He was charged with accidental manslaughter. His truck caused the death of 18 people.
Texting isn’t always easy.
I assume that could be charged but not pursued, it depends if he was transporting the logs as a freelancer or if he was employee of a logging company, which I suspect is the case (I may be in error, but I barely remember the logo on the truck door which stated "logging")
If that was the case, the driver could be barely responsible for it since MAY or MAY NOT be his job to check the maintenance of the harnesses and chains which keeps the logs firmly tied, at mosts he's the owner of the truck but not of the semi behind, and the incident was not caused by his driving but by something out of his control
Not the Sin Tally being 180 😂😭
lmao
The sin is death.
How ironic...
If only this video were 2 minutes and 31 seconds shorter
@@ZeroKami86 A sin to the Editor lol 😂
That. Damn. Truck....

I watched the first one's sin video a few days ago, and sighed when I couldn't find the rest of the series, so this makes me very happy ❤

9:04 I JUST STARTED CRIMINAL MINDS!!!! TH-cam knows, somehow it knows 😂

5:20 The truck needs to travel at approximately 164.84 miles per hour to catch up with the car that left the intersection 3 minutes earlier at a speed of 60 miles per hour. After the truck passes the intersection, it will take 1 minute and 43 seconds for it to reach the car, which has already traveled 4.7166 miles by that time.
You did really well on those word problems I hated in school, didn't you?😉 Good job.

Death Goes to Court is definitely, 100%, a movie I would watch. Better be a fucking dark comedy starring Willem Dafoe as Death, with Charles Dance as the Judge.
People retroactively say this is the best movie in the franchise just because of the pileup scene, yet they fail to remember that it has one of the worst written scripts.
Have to agree with you there, plus the acting isn't great. I'd say 3 is the best one overall, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead being the most talented main actor of the franchise by a wide margin.
It's not retroactive, people were stunned by that scene when it came out and it has been fawned over since it was first released.
Ah yes... Millennial PTSD at its finest
😂 absolutely lol. Very iconic scene. Because of something that we do every day (most people)
And I feel like it’s a big reason most of the generation before us don’t get their drivers license right at 16 anymore.
ahh yes the infamous log truck…still making people move lanes 20 years later.
Move lanes? Ww dont wanna be BESIDE them either! Making drivers do 90 to pass them 20 years later.

And it's real too, on Long Island.
😂😂😂
I'm gonna be blunt here: For as iconic as the truck scene and the first kill are, this movie shows they already missed what made the first one so impactful. The first movie wasn't just about Death seeking revenge for having its design cheated, it was doing in a way that was actively spiting Alex for tampering with it. Because it teased him with Tod's death, killed the others in his vicinity or presence, and killed Mrs. Lewton in a way that framed him and made him go crazy for believing that there was a plan.
From here on out, the deaths are just gonna be things that happen in increasingly ridiculous manners that only make ironic justice for the audience who sees the Rube-Goldberg traps being set up, and therefore don't feel an ounce satisfying seeing the main character reacting to them. Just my opinion FYI, they made 5 of these things, so what do I know.
And each one is the same old thing. A bunch of silly characters and one final girl/guy who get killed in different ways. I don't know why these movies are so popular. And, they're making another one 😂🤦♂️
Not super relevant, but it was Ms. Lewton, not Mrs. Norbury.
No no you're completely right, stand by it!
I kinda agree. I think I would watch these more if the deaths were more subtle instead of just horrifically graphic. Traffic, elevators, escalators, these mfers are just setting people up for fear with cheap gore shots.
Great comment. Never figured it out and I consider myself a big fan of this franchise.
Instant thumbs up for using the PTSD of a generation in the thumbnail
I was today years old when I learned that the lady from Criminal Minds was in Final Destination 2 AND it took you explicitly mentioning it for me to realize that.
Lol you didn't recognize? The only difference was the hair.
As someone born on the bathroom floor that baby would be perfectly fine 😂
Sorry to break it to you but that is a common excuse parents use with their kids to explain why there is no evidence of your birth (like photos of you at the hospital or hospital records)... meaning you're adopted.
@@retsaMinnavoiG umm sorry to inform you that I was overdue and mom went into labor and I've met the fire fighters that were first on the scene still remember her and me seeing I was their only baby delivery.
It always drove me crazy that in the premonition they drove at least 5-10miles before things took a turn but after she pulled over to block the on ramp, the accident occurred like a quarter mile down the road.
I legit watched this highway accident scene like six times when me and my roommates rented this. That alone was worth the watch.
It truly is amazing.
@ 5:57 thought my guy was about to start spittin bars when he said "Surely you must have read about the kid who had a dream about a plane blowing up" I fr thought he was goin off for a sec😂😂
If the SUV has been traveling at 60mph for three minutes plus another 1 minute 43 seconds at the time of the crash, then it is 4.71667 miles down the road at the time of the accident.
If the truck passes the highway entrance at the 3 minute mark, it has to travel 4.71667 miles in 103 seconds (1 minute 43 seconds) to be at the same place as the SUV.
103 seconds = 0.02861 hours
Truck speed = 4.71667 miles / 0.02861 hours
Therefore, the truck needs to be traveling at 164.86 miles per hour to be in the correct place for the accident in Kimberly's vision to occur.
This is a comment few would appreciate unless you happen to be a daily living must be based on a math/science factual basis and will take the time to work it out for comparative truth. Well done. My grandfather drove logging trucks for over 50 years and I'm very sure I never saw a single NOS bottle, yet alone the pallet of them needed to push a semi over 100 yet alone 168 mph.
Nice!😂
So death gave her a vision of something happening that was physically impossible. Because I'm pretty sure I've never seen a semi with a fully loaded trailer do 164mph.

Kimberly turning into JJ of Criminal Minds would be a great Final Destination lore
@12:55 I always found the "we drove a long way to be here" explanation as to why something should go their way to be very superficial. If you drive a long distance to get to me and ask for anything - anything at all - I'm sending you home with nothing. I don't care the things you did for yourself, it's not on me to compensate you for something you did without discussing it first with me.

Logs simply do not bounce that high.
Unless they were rubber trees.
They used VFX technology to make it do that all it would've been is a loud thud
7:55 a whole grim reaper court case would be jokes
Being early is super easy, barely an inconvenience
Oh referencing a popular TH-cam channel that makes fun of movies on another TH-cam channel that also makes fun of movies is TIGHT
All the people that are freaked out by log trucks now when in truth they had to do the log bit by cgi because REAL LOGS DONT BOUNCE LIKE THAT!!! Also, normal cars dont have hydraulic rams to flip them over nor do they carry an arsenal of grenades to make them explode like that. Hope u add a ton of sins on for the ridiculousness of the crash! 😂
We all KNOW that the physics doesnt line up and that cars dont work that way.
...
...
But we still move over whenever a log truck is in front of us juuuuust in case
DONT YOU TALK ABOUT THAT SCENE LIKE THAT! That’s the best PSA moment in history for drivers to slow the hell down!
Exactly.
The logs would just roll over to the side.
But they won't even do that since steel chains are not going to break.
@@Madnessonman Thank you! And from an even more logical point of view, being directly behind the lorry is the safest place because "if" the logs did come off theyre gonna go out sideways not drop directly behind!
Man, I wish A.J. Cook is returning for Final Destination 6 or any other future installment with Michael Landes as well. She just looks so cute with that dark hair. Chances are, if she returns her hair will remain blonde though :( (I mean look at Hayden Panettiere for Scream 6, actors don't really care all that much as much as we do)

Which begs the question; who was even driving that log truck in the first place? And why was that driver completely oblivious that the logs were bouncing and causing insurmountable amount of mayhem?
Earlier this year I found myself driving behind a log truck, on route 180. No joke. I told my wife “If Highway to Hell starts on the radio we’re pulling over for ten or fifteen minutes.”

Been waiting forever for you to do these movies!!!!! ❤❤❤
So it's come to this, you're finally doing a video on one of my favorite movies. It's so campy and predictable but I still low key love it. Andrea Joy Cook was an amazing casting choice. I remember when this first came out, I saw it so many times, one time I came out of one showing, got back in line and saw the next one 😂.
Kimberly Corman had probably the most gruesome death in the entire franchise and it happened off screen and discovered by floating newspaper article in a deleted scene in the next movie.
The story goes that Kimberly and officer Burke bumped into each other at a hardware store when a car crashed through the store and knocked Kimberly backwards where her jacket got caught in the chipper, Burke tried to help but they both got pulled into the wood chipper.
Interesting to note that the car was the restored version of the same car that Evan Lewis was driving in this film 😮
finally you're doing the franchiseee, ive been waiting for yearsss.
You've made me very happy today, Cinemasins ❤
How to give an entire generation trust issues behind the wheel 😂
I never even noticed all of those other hints of the crash when I first watched it, like the "Demolish the Mustangs" banner or the "pile up!" chant for it to mean a CAR crash (I just saw they were football players and were dog piling each other on the bus, lol), but at least I obviously got the kid smashing the semi and toy truck together head on (a little too on the nose)..... but I did notice you purposely added a bunch of random sins at once so that it would end up at 180 sins!!! 😂
The log truck scene could never happen in real life. Logs are too heavy and have too much friction to slide off the truck like that, and they also don't bounce. You can all let go of the irrational fear now.
That's true, I watched the making of this and they couldn't get the real logs to bounce atall so had to CGI them in the end.
While they don't bounce (although I'm not going to rule it out as being completely impossible in all circumstances)... logs can definitely fall down when piled up.
Usually friction and the weight of them will keep them in place but if they haven't been stacked well or the right conditions exist they can absolutely collapse.
I live on acreage and have stacked logs up and have had them roll off (usually due to knots in the wood making them unbalanced).
On hard ground I have even had the lower logs spread out due to the weight above pushing them outwards but that's with dry logs/no bark so there is less friction.
My point being that it's not unbelievable that it could happen even if it is unlikely.
@@retsaMinnavoiG Well, it's clear that a rain storm recently passed. Right after rain begins, is when non-acclimated tires hyper-glide the most. That's not the initial cause of the major wreck in this scene. So if it were to be tested properly, the humidity must be 100%, which this scene has, and it's not unreasonable that the log truck faced a torrential downpour, possibly for hours. I also don't know what wood it would be. You'd assume it would be pine, or oak, but perhaps someone else here knows precisely. It's not a hard word, like ebony. But I can't rule out it's a light wood, though perhaps someone on TH-cam can help identify.
It's such a relief every time I click a CinemaSins video and it doesn't start with a Better Help ad. I can actually watch this one, yay!
It's true, this came out before I could even drive but to this day if I see a log truck on the highway I try and get ahead of it as quick as I can before one inevitably get's shaken off and kills me
Thank you for waiting until 10/08 to do this movie.
