    There are lots of people on PED’s that can’t approach this level of lifting because they don’t have psychological strength to endure the workload necessary to reach these numbers. That’s ultimately what makes the difference, not just the use of PED’s. Clarence has consistently put enormous effort into his training which many are not capable of, PED’s or no PED’s.

    • @cyruskhalvati
      @cyruskhalvati 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      ? Bro all the effort in the world aint gonna get you anywhere if u dont have the genetics for strength. For example anyone in the lower weight classes, they simply were not given the frame or the musculature to lift the weight the people in the 90+ kgs can. (Talking pros)

      "lots of people on PEDS can't approach this cause they don't have the psychological strength"? I think you meant "they don't have the strength". People are insanely naive to think PEDs automatically give you anywhere remotely the strength that elite weightlifters have

    • @a_nick_t
      @a_nick_t 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@trtnec no, I meant exactly what I said. Of course they need the right genetics and atmosphere (coaching, training facilities, food, rest, physical therapy etc.) but they also need the mental toughness to face the enormous training loads necessary to reach world record levels. PED’s won’t magically make anyone strong without most or all of those other things. Some seem to think that just taking PED’s will do it. Nothing could be further from the truth.

      @toximan2008 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Richwiking318 It's just how the sport is sometimes. A lighter weight can be missed because it's light enough that your bar path becomes too altered. Once a weight is "heavy enough," the degrees of freedom allotted for a good lift become smaller and smaller. Meaning that, your technique becomes more "funneled in" as you get along. You'll see this in deadlifts where bar paths look exactly the same once a weight is heavy enough and beyond. In WL, since much of the sport is an interesting meeting point of strength and power and speed and mobility and timing... many missed lifts do NOT happen explicitly because of a deficit in strength. The "adding more weight and making a lift" phenomenon is extraordinarily common in WL.

    A bunch of comments saying "why is this Clarence0 guy so popular?" Well, why don't you watch his videos and find out? He's a charismatic guy, an absolute freak, and for quite some time posted semi-regular training videos. None of the pros do this sort of thing. Most of them only post the lifts on IG and that's it, they don't post the training sessions and what not. The second part is that Clarence seems on the most part a guy with strong morals and consistent ethics. Both on his dietary choice, or on his decision to not partake on competitions while taking gear and stuff. I find it so odd people downplaying this dudes achievements without knowing a thing about the guy. Yes I'm biased, but who the f*** isn't? Clarence is by far one of the strongest guys on the planet amongst people who don’t compete, but let’s be honest, how much would he be able to total in an official meet? I’m not even saying an iwf sanctioned meet, but a local meet, no drug testing at all, but only 3 attempts for each lift.
    210 clean and jerk, 175 snatch in the 96 kg class? I actually don’t think he’ll be able to make those lifts successfully in competition under pressure.

    • @davipadilha225

    Seems like he's having an issue with that left knee/elbow on the catch. You can see the left elbow drop or him fail to catch on the left side fully on multiple training videos for him. Sometimes he trains with tape on his left knee, perhaps that's why.
