  • The So-Called Travel Expert brings you a snapshot video of St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria. St. Anton is a well known ski resort for winter holidays, but it is also an ideal location for family holidays in summer.
    This video (Ep.1) covers the drive from the German border town of Füssen to St. Anton, with a stopover at the scenic Lake Plansee.

    Hi, you probably know Austria well, do you know if there are any pine trees in Austria? or have you seen any pine trees in Austria?

      Thanks for watching...yes, there are pine trees in Austria. The mountains you see in the thumbnail are all covered with pine trees 🌲

      The pine trees have longer needles than fir...and rubbing the pine tree needles also gives off the distinct aroma of pine oil. I had a clip showing me demonstrating this, as we went higher up into the mountains with the Valluga cable car (but didn't include that in the videos unfortunately due to the wind affecting audio quality). In any case, this region is definitely worth a visit.
