Welcome to th bi community! You are now one of the few that have the skills to perform both foot and wheeled ppg flight. You couldn't go wrong with those words of confidence from the Grandmaster Eric Dufor. Very nice job on the launch. Coming from foot launch it must feel kind of weird going full throttle before the wing is even overhead but you got it. It's especially nice on those hot humid no wind days. Landings and touch n go's are so fun on wheels, after a while you forget about that wheel in front. Wait till you see the retracta trike in action. The front wheel actually retracts out of view during flight! I'll have one soon. Anyway, congratulations buddy!!!!
Does the wing just attach to your harness as it would if you were foot launching? Trikes that are factory built all seem to have hang points that can be adjusted.
Hey Jeff, Ive thought about buying a trike that can attach to the current set. Is there’s a lot of rocking involved with the trike I’m assuming quite a bit more active piloting on a trike being a foot launcher since day one I’m wondering if I would think the trike was going backwards in my progression with PPG what do you think are you happy to go out and fly a trike or would you rather do your foot launching what percentage % ?
There are pros and cons to either foot launch or trike. I prefer foot launch because I like to have the ability to take off quicker and I just like being able to run into the air versus ride into the air. Touch and goes are fun on a trike because it makes you feel like you’re more in an airplane. Trikes are more work when it comes to transport and set up. As far as flying, it really does not matter to me because in the air the wing has pretty much the same characteristics either way. I was thinking about getting the tandem rating in which case I would prefer a trike set up. I guess the main reason why people fly trikes is their health and physical limitations. But hey, to each their own and as long as you’re in the airthat’s all that matters.
@@jdean216 Thanks for that in put Jeff, I understand what you’re saying about the pros and cons and yes I think also the reason I would probably eventually try to get into a trach would be to have a second person fly with me but of course that’s a lot of training and preparing for testing and application, I think for now I’ll just stick with foot launching. Thanks again
lol, actually I did go to Gorilla, then Eric just happened to be there at the time and being such a true spirited helper that he is he just gave me some pointers... excellent pointers btw. Lucky for me he was there training another ppg beginner pilot, so I got a chance to watch and think it through before trying it myself.
Nice friendly video. Well done! Perfect lighthearted music! Thank you!
Yep, a new skill-set. Very cool 👍😎👍
Yep thx!

Thanks again for taking some time and giving me all those pointers the other day.
Nice job Jeff. The older I get the more I think a trike may be in my future. You made it look easy..
Thanks, beginner's luck probably. I'll let you know the rest of the story as it unfolds. Ha!
Nice job Jeff! Trikes are awesome.
Awesome Jeff ! just what I needed to see,
Hey Bill, that's great! Good to hear.
ROFL! You finally got my old/new foxy up in the air ...glad Eric was out there for assistance.
can you believe it?!!
@@jdean216 Caught me by total surprise!
Cool man! Looks like fun.
Thx!
Way to add to your "bag of tricks"! 😎
Your turn....
Great video. Eric is the best. Did my training with him
Good job bud!! 👍🏼👍🏼
thanks man!
Awesome Jeff!
Thanks man, it's different but not as difficult as I had supposed.
Welcome to the dark side Luke..er, I mean Mr. Dean!
Wow you did really good I'm impressed .
Thanks
Felt weird getting used to relying on throttle only for take off
Aside from the video, which I like and liked, I wonder why anyone would dislike this vid. Who did you piss off there Jeff?
Thank you for that. I don’t know why,...guess there’s a critic in every crowd. Ha
Great job launching her Dean!! Like a pro!! cheers Jerry
Thanks !
How much is pilot weight and paramotor thrust ???
Sweet! Trike Dude!!
Oh yeah!
Did you get the trike bug now? I would like to see you do a reverse now.
Piece of cake, that will be on my second flight😂
Class!!!
Nice job. Did you buy that or were you just trying it?
Um... yeah.

I just attached it to the trike and flew it as is. I suppose you should hang test it first though.

YES!!! ........you did it! ......................Jeff Dean making trikes sexy!!
What do ya think ? Probably won’t be doing this from a beach any time soon but hey 👌
It’s just Jeff.
😂
Nice job buddy.... let me see if I have the story right. You called Gorilla for advice.... then sought out Eric to hell you. Yep that sounds familiar!
