@MoviePalaceOfBlood to be honest, I got a over a hundred of blind buys as well. The difference is i bought them for like 80 Cent or a Buck used on Ebay, most of them are DVDs.
Congrats on the pickups! I had been covering the borderlands movie for over a year before it came out. And it was a shit show even before that but man. It legitimately ended up being worse than I thought. As a huge borderlands fan it was hard to watch. In my review I did on my channel I called it the worst movie I’ve seen in theaters; that I didn’t walk out of 😭 but regardless of a die hard Borderlands fans view. Cool lot my man! Boutta watch your newest video now
This Black Friday, I went to my local Barnes and Noble, which is an American bookstore chain that as far as I know is the only place in my area that sells Criterion Collection movies. I picked up Funny Girl, a musical staring a young Barbra Streisand in her first role that actually won her an Academy Award. I also picked up Fast Times at Ridgemont High and a Peter Bogdanovich film called Paper Moon
Holy smokes brother. So awesome! all I did was do the Target deal buy 2 get one free. Grabbed The nightmare on elm Street 4k, Halloween H2O 4K and return of the living Dead fork. Okay all for $50 bucks which isn't too bad. I also work for them so I get a nice little discount. It was a nice easy Black Friday for me.
I wonder that too! I got a Samsung LED/LCD 2013 46" 7000 series. Still SO good picture quality when watching DVB-T2 720p channels and Bluray movies! Crazy good quality! And I got a Sony Bluray player from 2009-2010 and got no 3D support. I don't know the model name/number. But it's a great player! The TH-cam app in my TV still works! It's a bit slow in the GUI but it works. I believe the Netflix app still works. I've collected DVDs and Blurays for ~25 years now and I got ~1000. That means ~40 movies per year. I've not counted the collection, it's just a quick estimate. I believe 60-70% of the movies are DVDs. The number of Bluray 4K is two: both bought on sale, one is with Harley Quinn and one is that Zack Snyder collection. The shelves are mainly Ikea Billy. Many of my DVDs are those that cost ~1 US dollar each. Very few ~15/20 US dollar movies. I often wait for the price cuts for movies :)
Nice. Mine was conservative. I got a RAT distortion pedal for the guitar and an SSD EVO 870 1TB drive. Furiosa is great. I read the extras are good too. Longlegs is my favourite 2024 movie along with Godzilla Minus One.
Awesome pick-ups, mate. Yeah i was the same when Caligula preordered it.Had trouble getting hold of it at the time but it was a must buy for me and it was time to upgrade my dvd of it and a drawing card was that it comes with 4 cut's bonus can't go wrong.I haven't been to Jb for a couple of years and my local one has been shut for reservations i think there still fixing that darn underground car park lol.
Only bought 4 items this Black Friday. I got house of the dragon season 2 4K blu ray steelbook. Terminator, Terminator 2 and home alone on 4K blu ray. Spent £115
Broderick godzilla is a good childhood memory... I remember going to the theatrewith my dad and brother and we were the only ones there watching! It was great
Buddy I thought you said 4K blu ray sucks???? I’m out lol. You are shooting your channel in the foot. Are you a collector or a just a compulsive buyer???
You should watch red one, the story is bad, and the dialogue is terrible, but the cgi and world building is good. You could really tell they spent more of the budget on the cgi than the other stuff. Considering that the rock's salary was 50,000 dollars of the budget, he didn't add 50,000 dollars worth to the movie, i think anyone could have played his part.
You've made videos about how 4K sucks and how Blu-ray sucks and how "DVD is king". You've also made videos about the top 4K titles in your collection, not to mention all these new titles you've picked up this week. Pardon me, but WTF? Where does your loyalty lie, sir?
The point of those videos were to play devils advocate, I love to collect all formats, however with videos like those, I do like to point how how some formats are not so good as meets the eye. I recommend you rewatch the Blu-Ray sucks video, as I go more into the purpose of that series of videos.
I see you've attracted 1 or 2 trolls on your channel Jamie. I can't believe people get badmouthed for liking a film. As long as a film entertains you that's got to be a good thing...... Right?? 🤘
Those videos you see of in person American black friday violence are old, it hasn't been like that for a long time. Most people just shop online. There were too many incidents. Also from 1 of your other videos, petrol in the US is called gas, gotten from gas stations, nobody says petrol ever.
Borderlands is actually pretty good movie. It’s full of action. Everyone I know that watched it said it’s at least a good movie. I guarantee 99% of the people that have a negative opinion about the movie did not watch it. If even 50% of the people that had a negative opinion about it went to the theater. The movie would’ve made $1 billion.
@ I can’t remember how Dungeons & Dragons did at the box office, but I also did enjoy that movie. It’s really a shame because so many people talk about movies, they didn’t see instead of just being honest. Normal adults say something like the movie is not for me so Iim going to pass on it. I can’t tell you how many times I was listening to a video game podcast and people was talking about borderlands the movie and it’s clearly obvious they didn’t see it because they’re making too many mistakes while talking about it. It seems like the popular thing is to form a negative opinion and then everybody dog piles on it without experiencing it for themselves. For example, I have no interest in seeing the movie wicked but I’m not gonna say it’s bad or horrible or anything. It’s just not for me. I have no interest in it. I’m not qualified to speak on it because I didn’t see it.
@@mr.40-15 lol that’s the best you got??? perhaps you should take a long look in the mirror, calling somebody names over liking a movie that you didn’t see. Haha :)
God Bless JB-HI-FI for keeping Physical Media alive in Australia.
Quantity wins over quality here
Amen. Dude should’ve saved his money and bought something else especially considering he bought Halo☠️
Honestly, at this point it looks like hoarding instead of collecting
So many blind buys of 4ks. for me that's what streaming and hoisting the jolly Roger are for. Not sure he sells off 4ks he ends up not liking either.
@MoviePalaceOfBlood to be honest, I got a over a hundred of blind buys as well. The difference is i bought them for like 80 Cent or a Buck used on Ebay, most of them are DVDs.
He is. I thought he was a collector but based off his recent videos he’s just a drama channel
I am done collecting
Furiosa is great, loved it in theaters, got the 4K.

I LOVE Interview With the Vampire. Been watching the movie over and over again since I was a child. Loved the book and also love the tv show!
Nice videos. I also like Godzilla 1998. Something about it takes me back. Do you have a wwe physical collection?
I do, I did a collection tour a few months back - ULTIMATE WWE COLLECTION 2024: From VHS to DVD and Blu-Ray

How do you know the rock got paid $50,000 for his role? That seems unbelievably insignificant.
I spend like $250 dollars just in vinegar syndrome and severin films
