That was an interesting and informative video. After watching this, I'm now fairly certain the hydraulic pump on my TE20 will require an overhaul. The project started life as a repair the obvious things and then play farmer in the dell. The wife may not get to park her car in the garage for many months.
🤣 tell her that garages were designed for tractors! To be honest this is normally how it goes. Our International was ‘restored’ when we bought it but it has needed something repaired or replaced every year since we got it. Its now at the point where I want to get it into the workshop and do a number of major jobs on. Hydraulics being the most important. Maybe we can get the Fergy done before mowing season 👍👍😉
Hello, Tell me please if you can - in my TEA20 i have only two position of hydraulic: max up and max down. I can't set it in the middle position. Where is the problem?
Hi Kamil, I have not experienced this myself, but it sounds like a problem with the hydraulic bypass valve. The hydraulic pressure from the pump is regulated by a bypass valve, when the control lever is down, all the pressure is bypassing. When it is up, very little is bypassing. The bypass valve should be “infinitely adjustable”, it sounds like yours is not. From memory there are 1or 2 springs that help control the valve. It’s possible one of these has failed. Sadly it sounds like you will need to pull the pump to find the problem. 😢
