I've been following Sarah for a few years, and I've always been encouraged by her. Then I found Heidi, and I've been following her for a while... so I'm super excited about this podcast, but this episode is 🔥 thank you for this! I've been battling my health for years, but especially the past 2 years and I'm fighting those lies from the enemy, daily (that I'm not a good mom because my ma-in-law is more actively raising my special needs son during the week, that I'm not a good wife because I can't do dishes, laundry, cleaning, or even stock up the wood stove - cause I can't bend, twist, lift, etc; that I'm not a good friend cause I can't go meet my friends to see their new house, or meet them for coffee dates if they need a shoulder to cry on, etc). Those are lies! I need to trade those lies for TRUTHS from God! God has been speaking to me through His Word of course, but also through other books, devotionals, etc. As well as through family and friends, who speak the truths to me (like that I'm not a bad mom or less of a mom because I've been in bed for the better part of 2 years fighting my body with these health issues: I'm still a good mom; I'm resting to heal so I can be a more hands-on mom again soon, and I can still encourage my boy, give him hugs and kisses, read books and even snuggle with him (sometimes, when I'm not in too much pain) and so much more!). I need to keep remembering the truths and ignore those lies that I know are from the enemy! I need to listen to the truths, which come from God! ❤️
So, thank you, Heidi and Sarah for this encouragement today ❤

Remember, you are a representation of your church. I was not born into any church. While finding my church home I was shocked at some of the unchristian things that would come out of the mouths of "christians" even in leadership positions. A pastor said, "I don't read the bible, I am only here because my husband is a pastor". Things such as that led me to move on as soon as it was uttered.
