As you know, it's tough to keep the "freshness" of a small plein air study, enlarged into a studio painting; but you managed to do that by not going Too large. ;D The great Scott Christiansen once said, in a vid I have of his, that, "Ugly is one thing, but Big and Ugly is a Totally other thing", with regard to doing larger paintings!! LOL :D
