A bit of history for you... Darren Bolino who was one of the people behind One Nation and United Dance was actually resonsible for taking many of these samples to Rob Haigh and encouraging him to use them in his tunes. Darren used to run a record store in Hemel Hempstead called Pump Records and he was well connected with the Moving Shadow crew who were also based in Hertfordshire. Cheers!
There's just something about these tracks and his discography that makes it so wonderful to listen. Could it be from his past experience composing classical music?
Interestingly enough Rob Playford once told me that he got screwed over by the US distributor for Moving Shadow who took allot of music from them and simply never paid up. Great to know that some of their tunes made it to the US though.

What happened to the video on LTJ Bukem?
It was inspirational then and still now how samples where flipped to make proper uk born music that has lasted the test of time,
Happy daze.......
The Break in "Feel Good '95" is from "P.B.B. - Dum Diddley Dum"
The drum break in Be There sounds a lot like that Madonna Break - "Justify My Love"
Think you might be right on the money there
Which sampled Public Enemy's Security of the first world
omni trio are so underrated for there productions
Renegade Shares was the first breakbeat 12” I purchased. Pretty sure it’s still in a record box in the garage.

Interestingly enough Rob Playford once told me that he got screwed over by the US distributor for Moving Shadow who took allot of music from them and simply never paid up. Great to know that some of their tunes made it to the US though.
