One thing to keep in mind with these types of cases that ive run into is some high end GPUs run into weird issues being in the "hanging orientation". Something to do with how the directions of wicking works with the heatpipe designs. Causes it to almost instantly go to max temp and fans to go to 100%. Ive only seen it on the Asus tuf 7900 xtx but seems to be okay with gigabyte rtx4090 gaming oc. I tried it in the silverstone alta case but if you flip the case upside down, all the issues go away.

the nice thing about the case is that it can still be a show case piece. i actually want to see if i can find a way to mount it horizontally to the bottom of my desk.
I Didn't realise this case could support a 420, and I love the airflow for the GPU and AIO, with the air being vented to the top of the case. I was looking at the factual North XL but this offers another option.
Would've been nice to see a better top view of the rear i/o ports & video out ports. I don't see one cable coming out the top - whether HDMI, ethernet etc. How does that work with the top fans in te way. I assume for the same reason you can't use a mobo with WIFI antenna?
Have you experied something about thermals of gpus when vertical mounted ? I read about problems with heat pipes when not used in horizontal position. Thanks
I have 1 question. I was told that this upright aio position with the tubes at top is the worst config bc of potential air in the system. Think it was gamers nexus who did a video on it. How does it then make sense for Thermaltake to design a case where the tubes has to be in the top?
Regarding airflow. It got me thinking. Doing the laying down option. You use the top & bottom fans as intake (a.k.a. they are now side intakes as the case is tilted), as well as two 140mm fans in the back as intake also. You then use the 3 fans on the 420AIO as exhaust. Would this not create the most optimal airflow inside?
I'm doing my build with this currently, 4080 super, 7800x3d, i want an air cooler, but i know an aio is a better option here, so i haven't decided yet on that.
You could easily do any air cooler for the 7800X3D as you're not limited by the CPU cooler height. Add 3x 120/140mm fans on the side as intake to feed cool air to your air cooler and RAM.
Due to that PSU shroud. Does this somehow support RMX shift PSU's? I am really looking forward to this case, and it's gonna be a bummer if this wont support shift psu's.
Oh, damn! This video is on Thermaltake's website? Saw a link for Thermaltake Australia and the thumbnail looked familiar... How much space do you think is wasted on the back cable management area, the top (above the O/I shield), and the front glass? I know it's supposed to hold the biggest GPUs currently on the market and help with air/heat but it just looks way too big for the parts that it can hold. I'm curious why they did not extend the GPU bracket panel across the I/O shield to help hide the I/O cables. They could have easily had one single angle shroud to divert and hide the GPU and I/o plug-ins up then back to cable route out the case without blocking the top fans. Maybe mirror the bottom shroud angles? The top part, past the I/O shield, just looks too unfinished/wasted space. The top probably could have been cut down 3-4 inches and still kept it's functionality. Maybe lose one top fan but that would make it more symmetrical with the bottom solo fan (especially if it was on the mount lying flat). I was really excited about this case but the more I look at it, and it's price, the more I hesitate to make the decision to buy. Also trying to understand why they did not include rubber grommets with all the pass-throughs. I found a website that sells "mods" and one is grommets to plug those holes.
hey awesome video! im gonna build in the case when it arrives and was wondering if anyone knows will i need a reverse fan for the centre fan on its own? or is a regular fan fine
