Glad you enjoyed! Adam's Classic X-men is done and will post March 20th (they're all so good!). I'm working on Zeck's Cap run now. Thanks for the suggestions and the GREAT comment!!!
You did justice to my favorite superhero run of all time. It can't be overstated how much this series revolutionized comics and ushered in the superstar artist era (and better pay.) One interesting side note is that it took longer from issue 158-170 than it took for 171-190 when it became a monthly book. I think Janson did a lot of the coloring. I don't have a problem with Elektra not being dead. Why kill the best new marvel character in 10 years? She was dead to Daredevil. That works for me.
SO glad you liked it! I think this format works better than a bracket challenge. However, I might do a X-Men vs. Fantastic Four bracket challenge where I take my 5 favorite covers from each run and have them fight it out. Anyway, I agree with you about the importance of this run in comics in general. The first comic I clearly remember the cover of was one of these (179). Thanks as always!!!
I'm also a huge Miller fan. He's done some of my favorite work (Wolverine Limited Series) and some of my least favorite (anything after Robocop for Avatar). Having said that, I believe that's the sign of a true artist. They take chances, change styles, flex their creative flavor. I love Jim Lee, but all his stuff kind of looks the same. Just my two cents (Guess I was feeling lucky). Thanks again for the fun comment!!!
I always thought daredevil was the dumbest character in the marvel pantheon until I read 158. The Gil Kane influence shown through. And I became the biggest Frank Miller fan ever.😂❤
I totally agree! I remember feeling sorry for him. A blind superhero. I just felt bad for him, especially in his yellow costume. Then I got ahold of 158... Mind. Blown. Thanks for the comment!!!
@@thecomicsamurai me too. I was kid reading heavy metal, fantastic four, avengers, batman, spider man, X-Men, warlock trying to keep up. Then my lcbs owner put this book on the wall. I liked Gil Kane's stuff, Frank's resembled it. After I looked through it. I was changed.❤️
This was good ! Hmmm…. How about ranking Arthur Adam’s Classic X-Men covers or Mike Zeck’s Captain America covers.

Huge Frank Miller fan as well.
I think #181 is one of host best covers in the series.
One thing, I always thought that #184 was a riff on Dirty Harry.

The fact that Elektra isn’t the lead for a Marvel Zombies story is the biggest misstep in brand management history
Wow. I'd never thought of that! You are SO right. She's come back from the dead right up there with Jean Grey. Good call! Thanks for the comment!!!
I like your picks on this Daredevil Frank Miller. This was a cool idea to rank them.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed, it was fun. Thanks again!!!
