Appreciate the video I’m just kicking the tires on the bike packing thing. I’m actually new to riding period I’ve got a pretty good mountain bike and have been building up my rides I’ve only gone over 20 miles twice but it felt good. I’m thinking of doing a three day 100 mile loop or something like that soon. I’m still getting my bike ready with heat but I’m excited to get started before the heat gets to be too much. I’m out of Dallas TX.

Awesome! There is a 100 mile route out of Lockhart that should be a pretty good beginner ride. I think it’s called the Texas BBQ Overnighter

Love my 600X! Looks like you have a solid system for bikepacking. At the moment, I still prefer a rack and lightweight panniers, but part of the fun is trying out new configurations.

Thanks! I think panniers are great they just allow me to carry too much weight so my bike ends up too heavy

Wondered why you deal with a backpack instead of putting a rack on the back that would hold it?

Hi thank you for watching! I wear a backpack for a few reasons
      1. Takes weight off the bike which makes hike-a-bikes easier
      2. Makes drinking water very easy (since it has a 4L pouch)
      3. Allows me to carry some of my more valuable equipment (drone, cameras etc) with me when I go into stores
