    Thanks for the tip on adding in a delay between commands. I have a couple of zoom macro's I made to emulate functions in another DAW I used to use. Sometimes it would go so fast it would skip steps and actually shrink everything rather than expand it like I had the macro set to do. Adding in a few random 'NAVIGATION|HOME' settings in the macro to slow it down solved the problem! Thanks!

    Interesting - doesn't work for me, it renames a particular audio channel not the bus. I tried both creating my own macro and then downloading yours, same result...odd.

      I just discovered the same issue on my Windows 10 PC. It works perfectly on my Macbook Pro.. go figure. I am wondering whether the fact I used B on PC and shift B on Mac makes any difference... it shouldn't.

      I have the same problem on a Windows 10 PC. Maybe it is still too quick with renaming the channel? Did anyone find a solution to this in the meantime?

    I have three add bus macros assigned to 3 faderport keys. Each has different plugins auto inserted. One has the SSL channel, one has a few abbey road plugs and one is fx sends with my fave reverb and delays inserted. Saves loads of time creating the buses and then dragging on the plugins

    Why Presonus can't organize the macro organizer? At least adding the search option will make it much more handy.

    For me it works in the following order:
    - Track|Add Bus for Selected Channels
    - Navigation|Right
    - Console|Rename Channel
    - Navigation|Left
    Joe's way was creating the channel but the problem was in the naming.
    It was changing the name of the previous channel and not the new one.
    I have created both Bus and VCA tracks.
    I hope the above helps someone.

    dear Joe... i was wondering do the same with folder... i am searching for a way to do this with folders.. like Pack tracks to folder, and convert that folder to pack a BUS... so i can have it on the right and being able to fold and unfold them inside the mixer (plus the automation lanes etc that come up automatically.... but haven't found a way for that... any idea? the delay effect is great... ^_^ thank you very much

    Is it possible to make such a Macro that will also have Pack Folder?
    And so at the push of a button,
    all the selected channels will be in a folder and will have Buss And rename?

      @KenGlasser 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BoxRecords I have no idea why but that works for me as well. I tried all sorts of combinations of Lefts and Rights but the selected channel was always the first (left-most) channel and that's the one that would be renamed. Having just a "Left" command doesn't make much sense to me and it's not what Joe did but for some inexplicable reason it works. Thanks for figuring this out. I was starting to go nuts.

      @@CaughtInTheRabbitHole Yes. And after playing with it for hours, I found that a single Left, Right, Up or Down works.
      Not sure why it works, but we're essentially using a hack to work around undocumented behaviors in the Windows version of Studio One. It would be much better if PreSonus would provide some kind of "wait" function so we weren't at the mercy of random timing issues.

    Only thing we actually need besides this amazing tip, is the ability to create as many busses as we want as we can with tracks. If i want 20 busses then put 20 busses and enter. Not one by one 😭

    • @1972OGTony
      @1972OGTony 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This method isn't really faster because you still need to select the channels then give it a name, vs selecting channels and right clicking to add in a bus. Sure you would still need to name the bus but if that's too much work or slows you down you might want to pay an engineer.

    I have a question , in Studio one 5 , I am unable to change the export video length , Lets say I have music fading in and fading out of the video, and the audio is longer than video , then while exporting the video, audio in the start and end gets CUT OFF , it doesn't export anything apart from the video length , is this only my problem or is this for real ??

    I have never used Macros in Studio One because as you mention it makes no sense that assigning keyboard commands to a macro is another senseless step. I would wager 90% of users don't use it because the whole process is convoluted. Most people are probably going to "fck all that shyt I'm not doing all that to save half a second". In reality you're not really saving that much time vs right clicking add bus for channels.
