You can do one form for the group. You’ll need the same information (e.g. passport number, address, date of birth, nationality, etc.) for all the passengers.

Thanks for this! It is a huge help! I do have a question. My wife and I will be travelling to Punta Cana from July 19 to July 25. Do I count the 'days of staying' including the day of arrival, i.e. 7 days, or days after arrival, i.e. 6 days? Not sure how big of a deal this is, but I'd like to be clear! I hate messing up anything dealing with international travel.

Thank you so much for the assistance. Just to clarify. We start our trip in DCA and then have a layover in JFK and from there we go to PUJ do we have to put DCA as our starting point of use JFK sine that is the flight that arrives in PUJ
Put down JFK if the flight number changes on your layover. If it's the same flight number (i.e. you don't deplane) put down DCA 🙂

If you’re not going through customs you wouldn’t need it. However, if you’re going through customs, even if you don’t leave the airport you would need it

Hi, Chris :) No, simply select a hotel close by or of the same hotel chain or similar name. It doesn0t really matter to be honest especially if it does not appear on the list. That information is mainly for census and statistical purposes.
Okay, but can you do the option that says "Origin Port" because i am stuck there. I am traveling a day before from my country, stopping into miami for the night then off to DR the next day where i will be staying at a hotel for the remaining of my trip
Origin port in your case would be the Miami airport (look for the code of the airport)

Is there a limit to how soon can you fill this out?
If i am on a week vacation do i fill out the enter and exit form the same day? Or do i have to do exit form after i land and clear customs?

Hi! If my flight has a stop should I put the number of flight that arrive in Punta?
If your flight number changes on that stop then yes. Also put the port of departure the city where you stop 🙂
If I am travelling to Punta Cana with my 4 sisters and sister-in-law do we have each fill out a form or can I fill out the form for all 5 of us?
You may fill out one form for your entire party (even if not family) should you reach the total number of people allowed per form, simply fill out another form with the extra people.

On the form it’s asking me what hotel I’m staying at. I’m staying at the Karibo hotel in Punta Cana but they don’t have that hotel listed in their website. They won’t let me manually enter the hotel name, what do I do?
I would choose a hotel close to the karibo. This form is for statistics purposes so there’s no problem if they don’t have it. Just say you’re staying at the karibo if asked in customs
Hi, if my family is travelling with me on the same flight, but they booked with a different flight confirmation number, do they have to fill out a separate eticket application? Thanks for your help!
You may enter a different confirmation number within the same ticket since you need to add that info on a per passenger basis 🙂

Glad it was helpful! You should fill out your US address and list the US as your country of residence
If you are coming from the US, where you live, you will enter your US address. That’s your permanent address for the last eight years.

THe second question on the second page - Do you bring in your lugggage food products - what if you have protein bars or individual small bags of chips or crackers or cookies ... what is the correct answer...
Food products refers mostly to meats, fruits, soft cheeses, in short, anything that can bring diseases to the animal population or pests . The items you described do not count as food products to customs
How long b4 I travel to the Dominican Republic I should fill out the E-ticket…cuz am leaving in November so how much time do I need to do this?
Whenever you have your flight information and confirmed your hotel booking you may proceed I believe. The system will tell you if you can’t proceed so I wouldn’t worry 🙂

I have a connecting flight to Punta Cana - from New Orleans to Fort Lauderdale and Fort Lauderdale to Punta Cana. Is New Orleans or Fort Lauderdale my Port of Embarkation? I have the same question for my departing flight, port of disembarkation - Punta Cana to FLL and FLL to New Orleans. Thanks everyone!
If your flight number changes in Fort Lauderdale then Fort Lauderdale would be your port of embarkation and New Orleans your port of origin.

When I fill out the ticket to come back and I leave punta and have a strait flight to USA then would my days of stay be 0?
If you are leaving the DR there is a different e-ticket for departures

If your city doesn't show up when you type your address upon starting the application, what should you do?
As of March 2023 I noticed the Public Health Information page had been removed. There were NO public health questions.

One question - Me and my fiance are leaving for DR on Sunday, May 28. For both arrival and departure "flight number," what do we put if we have a connecting flight (to and from) in the US to get to Punta Cana? Does it matter which flight number for arrival and departure we do?
Put down the flight number that lands in DR and for departure the flight number that takes off from DR (regardless of any connections)

OK I have a stop in between flights. So if I was starting from (Atl->Charlotte) then (Charlotte->Dr) which flight would I use for the e-ticket? I'm assuming the flight directly going to the Dr and leaving right?
Correct, enter the flight details of the flight that is bringing you to DR. If the flight number changes on your stop in Charlotte then the flight info of the Charlotte flight goes on the e-ticket

If you are traveling with people living in different addresses, do they need to fill out their own E ticket?
No need; you can fill out one e-ticket. The form will ask for each passenger’s info.

What to do when you’re travelling to the Dominican Republic to go on a cruise. What do you fill out at days staying in DR. I will be returning to DR after the cruise and staying three extra days before I fly home.
Hi, Iris :) the cruise will end in the DR or ends someplace else and you'll be flying into DR to stay for three days?
@@NittyGrittyTravelers - the cruise starts and ends in DR. So I fly into DR, stay one night and go on the cruise the next day. When I return from the cruise in DR, I’ll stay another three nights in DR before I’ll fly home again
Got it! In that case you only need to fill out the e-ticket when you fly into DR (with your flight information) and put down the address or hotel name where you'll be staying after your cruise. I would put down as "days staying in DR" the amount of days from the day of entry until the day of exit via plane.

Hi, Vikram :) Every visitor needs to fill out the e-ticket upon entering and leaving the DR. According to akbartravels.com, Indian citizens do not require a visa to enter Dominica for a short stay, if the purpose of visit is tourism, visit or business. Indians enjoy visa free travel to the country. Please confirm this info with a more official source (like the Dominican consulate in the country you reside)

The Occupation section does not have all the options shown in your video. It says things like, Crew Member, Diplmat, Student, Private Employee, Public Employee, etc. There is no "Other" or anything that seems like an adequate match. Help...
To be honest, don’t worry too much about it; pick whatever is closest to reality. This information is for traveler census and you won’t have any issues 🙂

If you have the QR code that’s all you need 🙂 you don’t need anything else to show at customs
You may also fill another ticket and discard the old one.
How do I fill out the Embark Port and Disembark Port if I have connecting flights? I fly out of Chicago to Atlanta and then Atlanta to Punta Cana and vice versa with the return flight?
Do you change planes in Atlanta or does the flight number stay the same (i.e. you do not change planes)
I fly into Atlanta and then it’s a layover and then fly out to Punta Cana. All 4 flight numbers are different. Chicago to Atlanta is one flight number. Atlanta to Punta Cana is another flight number. Flight numbers are different on the return flights as well

You need to put down the city and flight that ultimately brought you to Punta Cana. In this case, your point of embarkation would be Atlanta :)

You may fill out ONE e-ticket for the five of you. Make sure you are all together when handing over your e-ticket 🙂

Can I issue the ticket one month before the date of travel?
We believe so, however, some people have been saying you can’t so I’ll test this with an upcoming trip we have and let you know the results 🙂

@@NittyGrittyTravelers only thing is that once I logged in again I couldn't adjust anything anymore. Login worked but not possible to change anything or does it need some time before it is in their system?
If you need to change anything but for some reason can't just create a new e-ticket... it doesn't matter if you already have one :)

I'm attempting to fill out my E-ticket but the resort I am staying at only opened in October so it's not listed as an option. Please advise.
Choose a nearby hotel or maybe your hotel had a different name before? Sometimes hotels get sold to other companies and the just change names. What hotel will you be staying at? (either way it doesn't matter much... no one will verify this information against your e-ticket info).

I’ve filled it out earlier than the 72 hours. Basically, as soon as I have my flight info I fill it out. Go for it, unless the system prevents you from completing it there’s no problem 🙂

Our trip is next month (obviously outside the 72-hour window). Completed the form without issue. No Covid-type questions whatsoever. Was issued the QR code. Hopefully good to go.

Just based on renting an apartment no, there's no ID you could get from the DR. I hope this helps 🙂

The eticket is an exclusive requirement of the DR authorities so you would need to fill it out regardless of other documentation. Hope this helps 🙂

Do we need anything else for arrival and departing to DR?
No, just the e-ticket for both arrival and departure (different ones). You might read about a $10 tourist card online but as of a few years ago that is included in your airfare. Check to see if your nationality requires entry visa to DR (American, Canadian, Schengen territories, and most big nations do not need one)

Something seems to be not working properly. Try starting a new ticket and see if it works. Also, make sure you have a country selected before trying to input the city

Hi, Kari 🙂 we’ve heard of this happening to other travelers. Just pick a nearby city and you’re good to go. This information is basically for statistics of the DR government and will not be an issue.

If no information will change and you got the QR code you’re good to go. Don’t worry about filling it out early 🙂

My province is Distrito Nacional, but no municipality or sections show up and anything I type just says nothing matches :(

Well that’s the thing, I can type in the street address just fine, it’s just that no options for the other drop down menus pop up after I put the province. Like the municipality is Santo Domingo de Guzman but when I type it, it says no matches found
Could you tell me the name of the sector? Most likely the municipality is DISTRITO NACIONAL and SANTO DOMINGO the province
Or, province DISTRITO NACIONAL, municipality Santo Domingo de Guzmán and then if nothing appears on the sector drop down menu I would refresh the page or even start over with a new eticket because the sector should populate like this
How soon did you fill your e ticket
Hi 🙂 if you’re referring to how long it takes to fill out it’s a fairly quick process if you have all your info hand (passport, flight info, etc). The more members in your party, the longer it will take you since you have to input the same info for all the passengers. If, on the other hand, you’re referring to how soon before your arrival you can fill it out… basically as soon as you have a confirmed flight and a place to stay in DR

When do you enter the additional people in your group?
If you selected the number of people at the beginning of the form, it’ll ask you for each traveler’s info after the lead traveler (in a tab manner)

I wouldn’t worry too much; pick a nearby city and put that one. This information is for statistical purposes and will not negatively impact you in any way.

Hola, Maria 🙂 some people have said the same, but we've been able to fill it out way in advance of the 72 hours prior to arrival or departure.
Im convinced this can only be filled out 3 days before the trip. Which is understandable. Ive tried three different devices. Three different browsers. I fill out the main things and then poof, nothing happens. No Qr code. Nothing.
I have tried to confirm this with an upcoming trip I have this summer but I still don't have the flight confirmation number for my return flight. I seem to remember I was able to fill it out well before the 72 hours window for my last trip but maybe they've changed it. If in fact they've changed it, the date of your trip should be the first filter before having to fill out all the details only to find out at the end that you cannot proceed.
I did on my phone 3 weeks out and got qr code
@@NittyGrittyTravelers okay so I did figure out what the issue was and I was able to do it more than two and a half three weeks out from my trip. The issue was that I was staying at an Airbnb and it's not very user friendly when it comes to choosing the city and the principality. Well I'm confident when city I'm going to it was backwards I had to select the principality first and then select a major city second and then it allowed me to select actual neighborhood. I always thought it was odd when it came to filling out the 3rd drop down box there was nothing there when I selected Santo Domingo as a main city
