Good sleuthing but how does this prove that "Uncle Albert" was correct? Are there other photos with which you can cross-reference yours? The truth of the statements written by someone is not dependent on knowing the identity of the writer - they still could be incorrect. It's a great find, and an important one but it doesn't prove the identification to be correct but at least it does indicate that the writer could have firsthand knowledge of the identities of most if not all of the people. As an aside, your story reminds me of a similar one in my family - my aunt had a photograph and she handed it to her aunt and asked her to write down the names of the people in the photograph on the photograph while she prepared dinner. Much to my aunt's horror, when she returned, she saw that her aunt had indeed written down the names of each person- in red ink- right across their faces! And this was the original photograph with no known copies. Moral of the story: watch what you say because her aunt did exactly what was asked of her. And - watch everything - always!
