He is but for some reason has never been super popular. AntsCanada gets way more view and that’s about ANTS! Not the largest tech company in the world. Though maybe that’s the problem. Too crowded of a field.
I have two real Apple straps , 38 knock offs. Never looked back lol. For the price I get variety and if they break or if I loose them, no sweat I can always buy again. ( full disclosure they never break hehe). At $59 I wouldn’t own so many bands. Sooo I’m happy with the knock offs. Great review as always!
I also made the mistake of buying seven Apple watch bands. Then, I found identical non-Apple bands on Amazon. Sincerely, I couldn’t find any difference. Now, I have a rainbow of bands and way more money in my pocket.
Sticking with my cheap bands. They are no different for everyday wear then the expensive ones and since I don’t plan on taking mine to war I’m good. Plus I like the option of having lots of pretty colours.oh and also if you have the ability to change bands they are not getting the same amount of stress placed on them.but all on all this video looks like you had a lot of fun making it.
Your immaculate integrity is seen in the work you put to these reviews! There is no other reviewer of cases and other accessories paraphernalia that comes close!
🤔 I mean I don’t mind paying for the real deal but Apple cases and straps pricing ridiculous for the same amount you get more straps/cases plus all sorts of colours
MobileReviewsEh true, but considering that most users aren’t going to do any too stressful thing to the watch bands a lot of money can be saved by buying fakes if u like to have a lot of colors to match your outfit
@@MobileReviewsEh all of that goes out the window whenever they're that close to the original and they only cost a dollar I can literally get 60 plus for the same price as one from Apple I say fakes win.
@@Mech8 untill it breaks from puting it on and of every day and ur watch falls and breaks.. i have one strap for around 4 years now and it’s still going strong
I really disagree. These are very extreme tests. No way in God's green earth I will give Fitbit, Apple, Samsung etc 50 bucks for a watch band that cost them 10 or less to make. The fake straps are just fine. I only purchased a watch strap from Fossil because it was on sale from 50 to 15.
@@majorskies7091 You make a good point. I also disagree with paying $50-$100 or more for a band that costs dollars to make. Though what I meant is that quality is often more expensive and you definitely get what you pay for. Though the prices of said quality are often bloated past realistic values.
When it comes to straps I am quantity over quality as I love colour and switching things up regularly. Awesome review, this is my first time watching you but you had me at Monty! Subscribed!
I used to buy a lot of those generic bands because they were so cheap. I ended up selling them and getting the real expensive thing. I had a fake black strap before in which dirt and dust would stick to it over time and it would look disgusting. The original still feels different. The only generic ones I got left are the nylon bands. Great video! And Monty's awesome!
I’m getting my first Apple Watch in 2 weeks time. Watching this made me realise the possibility of having two different colour bands on at the same time. Goodbye money. 😂
@@kirankdiv I think you misunderstood me. I said in 2 weeks time, not the Watch 2. Actually, at the time the Apple Watch 6 was releasing & that’s the one I bought.
Your reviews are the best, honest. Big difference when you buy the products as opposed to getting them for free, like most reviewers! Keep up the great work.
Just found your channel and I am obsessed!! I love the in depth reviews and tests it’s really nice to physically see how apples products are better /where the quality is. Plus your dog Monty is so cute sitting there just staring at you !!! And your Canadian !!!

I love watching your reviews. You really do series of tests before giving your opinion. And your efforts in doing these videos is just wow. Well appreciated!! Subscribed!
These reviews are so entertaining! Also helpful. I think I should just stick to Apple’s straps. Also, I want to learn more about Monty. How old is he? What’s his favorite food? What’s his favorite activity?
For me, it’s getting a rash from silicone fake Apple Watch bands. You can’t tell the difference by looking at them, but I can’t wear them for long periods of without bad red rashes.
It isn’t simply about numbers, break strength and “durability”. It’s about precision and comfort. The original band is built with precision, comfort and the inability to get sticky over time which virtually all silicone watch bands do. My friend has been using crappy 3rd party watch straps, and then, I told him “why not go back to your original watch strap?” He could not believe just how comfortable the stock, fluoroelastomer strap was compared to everything he used previously.
I would be curious about the brands of “fake straps.” I’ve used multiple silicone and fabric loops that are not Apple with great success. Maybe do a video of the same sort with the fabric straps one day? Even the Apple silicone straps make my skin break out, so I opt for fabric only or, when dressing up, a metallic Milanese loop. Just something to consider for a future video topic. I’d watch!
I will still get the fake bands for the different color options. I understand the apple bands are of higher quality but if you are switching bands like everyday or other day the fake bands will last just as long, my thoughts (no test)
Excellent video, first time I’ve subscribed to a channel like this it was so good. Thank you. I wanted to know if there was a difference in the WIDTH of the bands? I couldn’t see that you measured width. Thank you.
I came from a Garmin and the strap broke within 3 months. Because of that I switched and stuck to Apple Watch because the bands are extremely resilient. I've been using a sport band for 4+ years now and it has gone through all kinds of stuff as I wash dishes with my watch on. It's worth every penny.
Can I get a review of fake solo loop/braided loops? I’ve been ogling the braided loop but don’t really want to pay 99 bux for the apple one. Also maybe a good fake milanese for work and shit?
Jack Keeble never had an Apple Watch before was about to get the series 5 when I realised most of them were out of stock and so the series 6 was coming soon.
Can you do more videos on third party solo bands? Not willing to pay $50 for a sports band without the clip… wouldn’t that make it cheaper? They definitely could’ve sold them for $30 and still make huge profits
I have my original apple watch bands and I've purchased a couple fake bands and I definitely notice the difference. I type a lot and the fake one always grazes on my keyboard wrist rest. The apple brand one doesn't do that. The fake ones also pick up dust a lot and irritate my wrist when I'm working which is why I've stopped bothering with them.
excellent review!! this was so thorough, i wasn’t convinced at all that apple’s bands were any better but now i totally understand you deserve so many more views! subbed & liked:)

I have a subtle latex allergy, where most latex will cause me issues after about an hour. But I’ve no issues with the Apple bands. Whatever the difference is, it’s well worth it.
I've only used Apple bands. I'd be curious to know if fakes were more prone or not to cause skin irritation. Especially with how long it stays in contact. Having a metal allergy I tend to avoid wearable products that are more likely to have cheap metal in them. I'm okay with paying for peace of mind with the original. Plus the stickiness and it prone to collect dust/hair are deal breakers for me. Previously had a Garmin and bought a random cheap band off Amazon. Can definitely tell the difference in how much dirt it attracted. Probably better this way otherwise I'd have an absurd amount of bands that I don't need lol.
When I got my first Apple Watch I bought all the bands on amazon and didn't really pay attention. When I got the watch that I could use to track my swimming I kept the one that came with the watch for daily use and used the amazon bands in the pool because I didn't want to mess up the expensive one. I noticed pretty quickly the amazon bands began to break down and got sticky. Like almost tape like. So I went ahead and used the real one and never had the same issue. I have the pink sand band and after a few weeks noticed it faded horribly. But the black one didn't. That I found strange. Now as far as the other bands like the Milanese loop. I can't get behind the price and got then on amazon. Seems to have held up pretty well for a year or more.
i ordered my first apple watch recently and i've ordered a couple of cheap bands for it, and i think the one i ordered comes with a band too. I'm thinking of using the cheap bands for everyday, and the expensive one for swimming, just for the extra security since it's a sports band and it's less likely to get water damaged
