My tip I’ve picked up to space the hands easily is you can use (and I do) a Bergeon dial protector to ever so slightly lift the angle of the hands so they clear one another and the indices. Works a treat for me. Always the seconds hand I have trouble with haha. Nice build! I’ve got a black dial in my cart ready as I’ve wanted a Nautilus style watch but don’t really like any of the ready-made homages. :)
thank you for the kind words. I would LOVE to see your watch when you complete it. my contact info is in the about section. Please share your creation.
If you're using rodico to place the hands, use it to pick them up by the tip, place over the post, push down with hand pushers, pull rodico away while still holding down with the pusher
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I use a set of flush cuts which are used for wiring. it works-ish. I have a set of clippers that I think are supposed to be used for stems, but cant get them to work .
Love your videos, you've got a new subscriber! Leaving in your mistakes so we can learn along the way is what makes this so authentic. What's the paste in the red tube btw? I didn't quite catch that.
unsure what you are asking. Power reserve on nh35 is 41 hours. If you are referring to quality of parts, that is yet to be seen. This watch is part of my rotation so only time will tell.
Hi you can do this stuff way better than i can but I've watched many videos like this and i have to say you make me nervous with the rest you handle the parts 😮 as all other builders are very careful with their movement's also was wondering why you didn't clean the case glass and face b4 you inserted. Only saying as others do that. But you made it look easier than i would for sure. 😊
With a hacking movement like this the seconds hand doesn't matter. Hacking meaning the seconds hand stop when you pull out the crown. Then when you change the time, the seconds hand doesn't move while the hour and minute hands do, so the alignment of those two is what's important.
have you had luck with the nh35 movements from ali express? i just ordered 2 and both had crown stem issues or keyless works issues. one got stuck inside the movement and i cant seem to get it out and the other wont push in all the way and just gets stuck in the time adjustment setting. im really afraid to buy another movement to complete my mod because i dont want to deal with this again. any seller recommendations? or advice i guess?
So far I have had no issues with the NH35 movements. The ETA 6497 movements on my Panerai Homage watches are a different story. If you are having issues you might be able to return them or message the vendor to find out what can be done.
@@laststopwatchchannel yea i have a nh35 watch i personally own already and just took the crown out of and it went back in smoothly. so im hoping those two were just lemons. im gonne end up keeping them though for spare parts and since they were cheaper than the ones you bought from the link i clicked on i think that was my problem. i ordered the same one you got so hopefully i shouldnt have any issues.
@@laststopwatchchannel hey! i just got the parts in yesterday and i finally got my build done with zero issues! crown went in smoothly and everything went well! ill post a video of it later but this seems like a solid movement! thanks for posting the link to the parts you bought 🙏
@@GivenUpDSBM super excited for you and cannot wait to see ! Congratulations!!! I have another build coming up soon. Last of the parts arrived last night
The conversion is well done even if I had to remove the bracelet completely to avoid scratches on it. I think the case is too copied from the Natuilus. I would really like the Chinese to simply stop copying other designs and instead use their know-how to develop their own designs. China has so much history in the country and so many great things that only exist there. Use this to develop your own designs.
Honestly, if I could find an "original" case that hadn't been copied from a major brand I would use that. I really like building watches and could see myself designing them one day. Thank you for watching!
Just a head up, if you had affiliate links for UK in the bio, you may have just got a bit of kickback! Somthing to think about 😉 Nice build though man, great job.

I always find watches I think look pretty and they always end up being homages. I would love to find a dial, hands, and case that are not homage or straight ripoffs.
but other than that... lol. I like the aesthetics of this build and wore the watch for the first time yesterday. It is a bit heavy but does not feel bulky. The only irritating part of the watch was the case on either side of the wrist.
How many other people, such as myself, who have never assembled a watch, are shouting at this video, your holding it wrong! You have a movement holder but you don't clamp the movement in properly, so why bother? You repeatedly grab the hands at the wrong end, making life difficult for yourself and you don't wonder to yourself, what am I doing wrong, you just keep doing it wrong! I appreciate it's a fiddly process, but if you keep going wrong, you have to come to the conclusion that it is you, not the fiddly parts! 1, grab and hold the hands at the outer end of them, leaving the middle free so you can look to line them up, don't grab them by the middle! The rodico is the same approach, attach the far end of the hand to the putty, leaving the middle part free to allow you to guide it into position. 11 minutes and I am out.... I hope you managed to succeed in the end.
I appreciate all the tips from someone who has never assembled a watch. I work with the tools I have and share my process and people just like you can choose to watch or not. I appreciate the partial view and the feedback. I hope your eventual experience assembling watches works out the way you want and wish you the best on your journey.

Thank you for the tip! If you are buying that particular case the edges of the case are a bit sharp.
I really enjoy watching your videos, especially building watches. I wanted to build my own watch for over a year now and finally ordered some parts.
thank you for the kind words. I would LOVE to see your watch when you complete it. my contact info is in the about section. Please share your creation.
I just saw your build! Looks amazing!!! Great work!!!
Unsure but I've never had an issue with the movements. Even my earliest builds are still ticking away
If you're using rodico to place the hands, use it to pick them up by the tip, place over the post, push down with hand pushers, pull rodico away while still holding down with the pusher
Thanks! I'll give that a shot. I fumble slightly less off camera, I promise
Steeldive NH 35 movement is less than 50usd.
Having built a watch from parts myself, I can tell you mostly left the struggle of putting the hands on the watch in the video 😂
it is the worst part for me. I want to show that it's not all roses and sunshine when you first start out. Thank you for watching.
My best advice is to use Rodico to help place the hands. It works so much easier than tweezers.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
What are you thinking about? Dress watches are fun because they are (usually) smaller and lighter than regular watches.
The split pins are supposed to come out from one side only. You should push from the closed end.
Thank you. I'll keep that in mind for next time. I could not figure it out.
Use the rodico to hold the hand at the tip instead of the hole that you're trying to get to.
I am trying that on newer builds. Thank you for the tip!
Not enamored by the dial colour. But the case and bracelet are absolutely amazing.
Thanks. I love the case and chose the dial color based on preference, but AliExpress (at the time) had multiple colors to choose from.
I also have a Tiffany 5711-1A homage piece. Made by Spect and Sohne. It’s nice.
That is awesome. I would love to see it.
@@laststopwatchchannel where can I send a pic ? You have IG?
awesome video! i just started building mods myself and just received parts for two nh35 builds today. cant wait to build them when i get home! 😁
Nice! Feel free to show off you work. I would love to see. Contact info is in the about section of the page.
To cut the stem i saw another person use large nail clippers which worked well.

Hi, the watch case link is wrong, could you please share the right one with us?
Thanks so much for the video
I updated it to the closest one I could find as the original store link is gone. I'll try to find another but that has been the closest one I can find
I just ordered some parts to make a Rolex daydate rep. Really love the content!

Long Island Watch has the best straps you can buy.
I want to buy WAY too much stuff from Marc at Long Island Watch Co
Love your videos, you've got a new subscriber! Leaving in your mistakes so we can learn along the way is what makes this so authentic. What's the paste in the red tube btw? I didn't quite catch that.
Thank you for the kind words. The red tube has thread lock in it. keeps the crown from falling off the tesm.
Nice watch! Id try this too.
@@vasiliuciprian1056 the builds are a lot of fun!
Hi bro, I'm new to this and have a quick question...How long do you think this will last? Thanks in advance.
unsure what you are asking. Power reserve on nh35 is 41 hours. If you are referring to quality of parts, that is yet to be seen. This watch is part of my rotation so only time will tell.
Does the gasket always come with the case?
I am pretty sure it does.

I am pretty sure I used a puffer to clean the glass and the dial. I can tell you there is no debris or dust in the watch as of today.
Do you think you can put a nh34 in the same case? Different dial of course..
Not 100% sure but it looks almost like it would fit
Absolutely! They exactly the same except nh34 have an extra hand.
can you put the second hand at any position? (new to watches, watch building/making)
Yes. I am pretty sure you can. I tend to stick them all at 12 because it feels "right" to me.
With a hacking movement like this the seconds hand doesn't matter. Hacking meaning the seconds hand stop when you pull out the crown. Then when you change the time, the seconds hand doesn't move while the hour and minute hands do, so the alignment of those two is what's important.
@Jojjetimgood tip. Thank you.
What glue did you use to tighten the crown & stem?
I don't use glue. I use red loctite. Sorry I didn't show it in this video. amzn.to/4f4vQ9I this will last a lifetime.
@@laststopwatchchannel thanks bud!

I really the case shape i have 3 of the same only cheap watches but the same look. Face colour is cool so yeah i like it. 👍 😊
It is a very pretty design. Thank you for watching and liking.
Lost opportunity to give this a "Feiko" logo. The color is bright enough to wear the joke with pride.
I had a Seiko logo that was supplied with the dial. I opted not to add it.
